I think a Car Barn is a massive priority here - A chance to get all the cars indoors out of the weather first, and lined up, as it will make it far easier to assess the fleet.

Well Scott, I signed up when you had about 8000 subs, so I've been around for a while. Great to see an update. If you were asking me, I'd say the 308s, 456 and 911 gotta go. Years in the weather take their toll and then projects go on for so long, it's probably hard for you and everyone to keep track of them and whats going on with them. Project 911 cars can always be found. In the end it's a distraction from the core stuff you have been working on. Also, yep, time for a shop to centralize all your projects in one spot and get them out of the weather plus be able to do all your filming with ease.

The ones that should go, IMO, both of the 308s and 456. 360, well, yes, it does need a bit of TLC, but, I'm not sure if the full restoration is the way to go...Maybe tackle a few things (front bumper, a few pieces of the interior and engine servicing), but, maybe it should remain a daily driver. Testarossa - hard to let go of the namesake
512 - gotta keep after all this work
456 - excellent content fixing all the issues and would be a good reference for future owners that have to fix these items. Then sell.
    Sell:
Porsche - sell or part out. Face it, there's too much to do on this one. Let someone else have it so it gets restored sooner instead of continuing to deteriorate.

Wonder if Schmee would be interested in hosting some of your cars in Barn 2 so they're out of the conditions. Great to see your nephew working on the cars too and taking in all the knowledge to refurbish things. It's a dying skill and one that will be worth BIG money within the next 20-30 years.
I would Sell Silver 308 as it doesn't need much doing to it, 456 as you daily your 360 and you have the Navara or other bigger vehicles for family outings (could always get another vehicle later down the line for a big road trip too, maybe an FF or a Lusso?), when the BBI is completed I would get the car PPF'd & drive for a little bit take to some shows and get content from it, then sell it on to a collector as it's going to be CONCOURSE!! (could sell it there too!)
Testarossa has to be restored, targa roof conversion or a folding roof installed; once it's done see what the waters are like and consider selling on. Between the BBI512 and the Rattarossa, it'd put you well on your way to an F40 or F50. Porsche, I would keep; you seem to regret selling previous ones you had so don't make that mistake twice! Maybe buy a couple of houses if you can afford it to rent out, if you don't do this already; will help shield you and your family from any financial issues long term.

May not be a popular opinion but once the BBI is finished you should enjoy it for a short while then move it on. Its a lot of money to be tied up in a car that you will then be worried about taking out. Same for the Ratorossa. At the moment you can drive and enjoy it. If you restore it how much will you actually want to use it? Probably best to keep it as-is and enjoy it without too much worry, its not like it will loose any value. Use the freed up money to do up the other cars and buy the cars you have always wanted.

If it were me ( which it’s definitely not) I’d keep the Porsche and the CS since that seems to get the most use of them all. Honestly I wouldn’t even mess with the CS rebuild, you seem to like as is, keeps the Rat theme and frees up funds and more importantly, time for other things.
Ditch the 308’s as soon as you can get them in good shape. Gives funds and reduces space needs.
Ditch the 456 you already seem like you’ve had enough of it already.
Spider the Rossa and sell it. Its not getting much of any use and maintaining it as a daily doesn’t seem possible with the parts and tires available. Plus, potential for big $ to put into other projects.

To be able to fund an assistant or two to work my way through the rest of the fleet. as far as the Porsche is concerned, that car either needs a frame off media, blasting or possible dip just to reveal what’s ever hiding under all those multiple layers of paint. The other cars look more complete to do a real restoration. And I firmly believe you have a gold mine in the Tetarosa spider❤. But you really need to prioritize by roi first. And set early cash flow as a criteria.

The 308s, particularly the silver one are great cars but the 512 is much more special and has a similar look, although much, much more muscular. The 456 is just another Ferrari (I can't believe I typed that) and the 911, whilst interesting, is not in keeping with the theme.

If you’re stuck for an original TR leather tool case, with some tools and the tyre inflation still inside..I’ve one of those for sale 🙂

Scott, your gray 1982 Ferrari 308 has the German market required mesh grill protectors for the side intakes, yet US side markers. Was that car always in the States before you brought it across the pond?

Well spotted, the car was originally a Euro car, hence the lower valance and normal bumpers. It then went to the US early on in its life and the side markers were added.... its now in the UK, so a well travelled Ferrari

I guess my first reaction would be get rid of the ratarossa, and concentrate on the rest. Having said that I can certainly see your dilemma…if you can restore it at a reasonable price and then sell for a nice fraction of the price a good condition testarossa convertible would fetch, it would make sense to restore.

Restore the 360, keep that as your daily, means too much to get rid of. The BBi obviously is going to recoup the most $$$$ when you sell it on, I never thought you'd keep that one, yes it's amazing but are you in a position to have such value lying around as an occasional show car? I think the 456 is too much trouble, put it right and let it go.
Like you said, get the two tone 308 fixed and move it on. Long term background projects would be the Rat and the Porsche and I think when completed you've got a headache....
Potentially the Rat could make you a shed-load if the F40 dream is obtainable. The Porsche has to stay but you're gonna have to decide whether to keep the last 308 or the Rat, as you need one crazy fun ride in your life.....

Ratarossa has to be kept. However that’s the title name of your channel and if it’s not ratted 🧐
    CS too, is a keeper.
I do believe the 512BB will go when complete I don’t think you have any intention of keeping it.
I’d keep one 308 but I feel the other should go as you said.
Not sure about the Porsche but I think I’d let it go.
456 as a grand tourer for the family
    So…
    Ratarossa
    CS
    Black 308
    456
Sell the rest either before or after refurb along with the 512BB and buy or build that F40

I would probably sell the 456 and black 308 asap as projects, concentrate time and money on the cars that will get most views and adds most value. If you can get the grey 308 finished and sold release the single garage space for the 911 until the workshop is ready.
Finish BBi and flip to fund the workshop, Ratarossa build and a manual 456 daily? CS could be worked on alongside the Ratarossa and what ever projects you have incoming! The 911 will make a nice retirement resto!!
Love the channel don't change the way you do things too much!

off load the silver 308....and the Porsche, and the 456......tidy up the 360 and keep it as your daily driver, just fit that front bumper and fit the new steering wheel....I don't mind it looking a bit ragged here and there...I'm not so sure about going to town on that one , ......concentrate on the BBi.....and then have a look at turning the Testarossa into a 1 million pound car!!! those two projects alone will keep you busy for the next 18 months...with less cars sitting around you don't have to worry so much about having a bigger space to keep them undercover ...the 360 can live outside because you use it regularly, Testarossa and BBi in the double garage.....and the black 308 in that single garage for the moment but get that one up and running and repainted then sell that one too.

sell the 456 to have cash flow to do the other... if necessary.. create a plan to each one with a day target... try to do one by one , finish and sell, but for retrim interior, maybe get two or tree cars and make them at the same time... take all to the supplier at same time for timing efficiency and ask for a discount... does it make sense?

  • @mlx564
    @mlx564 Год назад

I think you should sell the grey 308 and the 456 and keep the rest. The Ratarossa is going to suck in huge amounts of cash so finish the BBI then cash in that one too which will create your fund for the Rat. Whilst I’d love to see you have bigger premises, ordinary mortals like many of us really identify with having just a small garage to work in. Part of your magic is doing the impossible in small places!

Scott! Love the cars and have supported your channel since the early days - please sell one of the cars to buy a workshop or car barn at least. They are all - barring the ratarossa are all needing more work with each passing day in the harsh elements of British winter! Save the rats, sacrifice one and buy a garage/barn/workshop - asap! If you are in Surrey at all just leave them at mine - I have security - if only to protect them from the elements!

If you're determined to keep the porsche .. which looks like an enormous project, I agree sell the two tone 308, maybe 456 because its not that valuable compared to the rest., unless you need a family daily driver, and probably the Black 308. The BBi when its finished straight to a big auction house, and lots of money to fund everything else. But in the meantime, the 2 308s on another drive arent going to move on realistically, you have too much on, get them gone. The CS and Ratorossa have to stay.. always.

Honestly i think that, by selling a few cars, maybe the less valuable and getting a workshop (with the tooling and all you need to work on cars) you will change your game by a lot. I can believe you have all those raris and no proper space where you keep em.
With a workshop (like every other youtuber) you could start working on the other cars, maybe one or two at the time and drop content on a regular base. Making restoration series.
This will increase by a looooot your views and your followers on yt. I'd love to see you working on one car and complete it instead of seeing you buying ferraris and porsche and hearing list of things you'd like to do.
And of course, after closing the projects, you can sell those cars and have money to finance the other restorations. Once you are done with all of them you can end up not only getting a new project or two but also have the finances to keep your fav cars. By then you'll probably be a big one on the tube car game, cause i guess you have what it takes.

Gotta keep the 456 for sure, it’s the only family Ferrari.
I’d say sell one of the 308’s, and maybe to fund the F40 I’d say when it’s done and you had your fun with it, maybe sell the BBi. You’d have the nicest BBi on the planet in a rare color combo so it would easily be a very desirable collector car and I’m sure someone would pay world record prices for it.
As far as the Testarossa goes, that is a tricky one. It’s the reason your channel is called what it is and it was the car that introduced me to your channel. It also shows that someone can have a Ferrari that isn’t mint, and it is maybe cooler because it’s rougher. I know it’s worth a ton when finished but the real question is would you be able to replace it if you had sellers remorse and should it get refinished or leave it as is with just light restoration here and there 😊
