I also noticed the way that Hooker set it up and packed it away was a little different to the way the guy from Superpeg showed me. Will show you on my video soon 👍😃
Installed mine a little differently and was a lot easier! I measured the distance between the two brackets. Then installed the brackets on a bench so it was a little loose and then had a friend assist me to lift the poles into the holders, then tightened it all. Didn’t need the forklift at all.
I did it the same way as that first but Annie and I couldn’t lift it that high to drop the poles back in the slots , in to much of a hurry to get it on definitely easier the way you did it 👍
While watching the video and saw the weight pop up, and next shot it installed, i wondered how in the world did you lift that up and installed it. Well done getting that lifted. My awning is apx 27kg and i couldnt fit on my own. I can vouch by a nice big nasty ding and scratch on the side of my Pajero.
Yeah it’s heaps heavier than any of my other awnings personally I wouldn’t have it on a car unless it was a dodge ram or a 79 but it is great for our camper only that Annie and I managed to lift it up halfway and then secure it we were able to get the bolts in one end and then the other like I said in the video we nearly killed ourselves lifting it up they really need three people 👍
Interesting vid mate 👍 How do you find the quality compared to the drifta Stockton 270? Obviously a bit bigger and a whole lot heavier . . . How good are those rope ratchets!?!? I have a few for my drifta 270 to tie it down and have also permanently attached one to theain securing point. Makes it so much better and easier than the toe down supplied with it 👍
The freestanding awning was the best thing I put on my camper don't forget to season the canvas thanks for the video.
Another great video Stephen 👍
Thanks mate

Yep I did notice that but I think he does it that way because of the electric actuators that lift the awning still ends up with the same result 👍

You did an amazing job explaining all of that Stephen. Well done Sir👍 I'm sure you and Annie will be very happy with the new awning. Cheers🍻
Thanks Marc the next clip you will see the awning in all its glory 🇦🇺👍

Yes it’s had a few upgrades 🤣👍
Yeah 38 kilos is bloody heavy, well done to you and Annie.
Yep it’s a heavy awning glad Annie was home to help me out 🤣👍
Interesting vid mate 👍

Next clip I will do a full setup, as for comparison to the drifta Stockton to different awnings be like comparing a apple 🍎 and a onion 🧅 👍
@@Sawadventures67 I’m looking to the video comparing an apple 🍎 to a onion 🧅
What happened to your 30 second awning?
Nothing it’s back on the teardrop camper which is where I originally bought it for working great on it not big enough for the dot trailer 👍
