Besides naming the key as LabConfig at 4:55, if your win11 does not have "I don't have internet" option besides "Next" button, just use the same shortcut Shift+F10 to open up the cmd window, and follow the instruction at 6:24. It seems like at this point it is administrator by default. After finish executing those commands, restart the win11 and enter the password (just like the video shows), then it should be good. Hey! for those who can't skip internet connection part here is the solution: just press shift and f10 to open command prompt like how we did to edit regedit. then enter the commands he talked about, then using VMware restart your system and boom, you are in business

The minor or maybe big issue with this is the By pass for the requirements, and this might cause update issues in the future. With parallels you stick with preview even that the final is released.
Or VMWare and Microsoft pull their collective heads out of their arses and sort out virtual TPM and a licensing model for virtualising Windows. Apple are only the first company to switch to ARM, they wont be the last.

They are focused on their server products. Fusion is such a tiny piece of their business that I am surprised they are even supporting the Mac at this point. I've used it for years and it seems it's been stagnant except for supporting new versions of MacOS for awhile. I know they brag of new features, but I've not seen anything important. But then I do not game and use it to run business apps only, including Revit.

From there I can only get back to the product key window. I am unsuccessful in retrieving regedit from there... Any ideas? Wrong ISO? Thanks.
Dunno if you guys have found a fix - right now you could only use the build 22000 (under beta channel on UUPDUMP) as it looks like none of the dev channel builds was bootable. The 22000 build is like 2gig larger than dev builds
@@MuhdFaizFXIZZ were you able to see something like "press any key to boot from cd/dvd" upon bootup? If so the virtual device should be detected by the BIOS. See if the CD drive is connected in VMWare and check the boot sequence (I read some say removing network bootup from the boot order worked for them)

I dont know if this has been updated but you need to update the registry key to be in a folder called "LabConfig" for the keys to allow you to advance to the next screen, otherwise it will just create the key in a folder called "New Key#1" and it will not work

Nope for me...Parallels still wins in benchmarks and has miles better integration. Heck, it even supports the touch bar on M1 MBP, which can even be customized.
This worked like a charm, until few days ago when I tried to boot up windows and VMware just got stuck on the loading screen... After restarting it goes into automatic repair but can't fix any problems :/ I tried reinstalling Windows but no help whatsoever. Is there any workaround for this problem?
I have the same issue. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get the DVD/CD hardware to load after following the instructions above, which of course causes VMware tools to be greyed out (requires DVD drive)... Any help on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Was there any hot fix by VMware that Windows 11 won't boot anymore? In that moment I change guest os to "arm-windows11-64" the VM stops booting from DVD and jumps to PXE Boot, no way to boot from DVD. No problem with "arm-other-64", but then the Windows 11 Setup Is missing Media Drivers for the Install Drive.

It will probably be fine. In my experience as a student who's taken some cybersecurity courses, you will typically be using either redhat or kali linux. I would run these on the vmware preview for m1 macs. It's also free right now. I have an m1 mac as well and it runs virtual machines effortlessly.
When I click on I don't have key, it automatically gives the message that I can't run Windows 11 on this machine. It doesn't give the screen to choose Windows 11 professional to press shift F10 (Also a pain since I need to tab Fn for the F keys to show in the bar). I press Shift + F10 and nothing happens. Any clues?
Keep in mind that as a private user you can request a free license-key for the regular VMWare Fusion versions, as a future release of this beta might cost something for commerical users.

Were you able to use MS Remote Desktop to connect to the VM like in UTM? It allows scaling the screen to a higher resolution... It's possible to set up port forwarding in Emulated VLAN to 3389, but I cannot do it in VMware...

Was able to follow your instructions on installing Fusion Professional Version e.x.p (19431034) since I recently moved to an M1 Mac and my Fusion 11 was inoperable. I also followed the instructions to create an ISO (22000.1_MULTI_ARM64_EN-US.ISO) using UUP and Homebrew. (All new to me, and very instructive) However, now that I have a working Win11 VM, I realized (duh!) that I can't access any of the programs I formerly had in my older VMs running Win10. Can anyone suggest a way to migrate those from a VM which won't run under the new Fusion?

UTM does support actual virtualization on ARM though, utilizing the Hypervisor Framework when running ARM on ARM, and the performance is right.

Ok, had to disconnect Ethernet in Fusion for the installation.
Remember to download for ARM 64 not the blue button at the download page. (think the video shows him downloading the wrong version)

UTM is much slower as it emulates rather than virtualises the OS. VMware works well, it just lacks graphics acceleration. Parallels works the best.
