What a lovely creek and the film depicts what what is at stake vividly. Congratulations to Kevin and Timothy on producing it.

This beautiful film so clearly articulates what is at stake. Thank you to everyone standing up and working on this.

Great film, thank you for making this, and telling people about what is at risk. The Fast Track bill needs to be thrown out. The risks are enormous to our environment, to the local economy, to the farms and businesses that reply on the water supply, and to our democracy.

I have tried to get details of the company’s proposal but their website seems to be down. However from a stock exchange update on their drilling results I would suggest you also should be asking questions about the sulphide levels in the waste rock and tailings and how they plan to manage this. If not dealt with very carefully this will produce large amounts of acid and mobilisation of metals.

Great doco, it got me fired up, and puts the severity forth really eloquently. I do wonder if the poetry guy in the first part takes away the power. i understand the emotional evocation. But in my eyes it weakens the resolve and even opens the space for a feeling of tragedy, a loss to come. maybe because it is evoking emotion, but not quite clear and strong enough, and that ‘weakness’ and futility then transcribes to the whole project? i might be very wrong here and it could be a kiwi thing. I believe in the power of poets and dreamers, from Havel to King. But in this case, I would have it more to the end, once we have absorbed the facts, we can cement the emotion into it. I guess that is what it boils down to for me, the poetry didn’t grab me the first time (could have been that i was busy, absentminded etc) it laid a weakened foundation. While the facts could have been enough to open my mind and therefor the heart would start to resonate towards the end.
    What do you think

Mhmmm I see what you mean. It left me feeling a little off too. I think it takes the legitimacy out of the video... It's beautiful and passionate, but there are many people who would roll their eyes and become quickly disinterested in the cause.

Awesome doco, it will be staggering if this mine goes ahead with all the risk involved, even for a corrupt government

Signing the petition is not the way to stop this if you comprehend land patent and mining rights.
"New Zealand "has no jurisdiction in this matter. Its all private international law.

This cannot be, God gave us all ,this wonder of nature, this amazing place of unity of forna and flora.this is the home of many species of life ,never to be repeated anywhere world wide. This is also the land of my ancestors, the land stolen by tory governments of the1800 s.this land was sacred then as it is still. We all as kiwis can feel its power of nature and spirituality. It belongs to all of us.......NOT GREEDY OUTSIDERS that will rape , kill , mame ,the land, and its inhabitants, beingall life, even human.TANGATAWHENUA TAKE NOTE.

There are claims registered on the other side of the hill in Kahurangi National Park,in the south branch of the Riwaka river. This is disgraceful that such a beautiful place as this is under threat of distruction, because of greed. So little return to justify rape of our most precious asset.
