They filmed this production and played it in Special Engagements at movie theatres around the U.S. I saw it, and it was fabulous. Lupone's "Ladies Who Lunch" was phenomenal!
Totally agree, ambitious choreography in london. One of the best theatre/life exprience was getting free seats at intermission to move into a “royal box” just feet away from the stage, watching the london cast doing side by side was exhilirating!
It was done with the New York Philharmonic for just a few performances. It was not a TONY eligible production. I am thinking that this was a year NPH was the host of the TONYs, which is maybe why they did it.
I'm DYING for this to come to DVD, or at least on PBS or Netflix... All I have is this clip... :( I saw it in theaters, and I was like, in a state if shock for a few days. I just loved it so much. :D
Possibly Sondheim's catchiest song. I also honestly thinks this is the ideal cast for Company, with the exception of Neil Patrick Harris. Don't get me wrong, I like NPH as himself, but I can't stand him and his singing voice as Bobby here.
+Hezekiah Pabico Have you seen the 2007 cast? They were phenomenal. They were the orchestra and the cast at the same time, which is just insane to watch. If you don't like NPH as Bobby, this version has Raul Esparza instead.
+Rosalyn Impink I did watch that actually. While the orchestra-cast thing is amazing, I find it too gimmicky and doesn't really add impact to the story. I also like Raul Esparza's performance better than NPH's, but I found the 2007 revival a bit more serious whereas this cast is much more fun and audience-friendly; but hey, to each their own, right?
This is okay, but no Raul Esparza...just lacked a certain crispness and luster. Best moment was, as expected, when Bobby had no one to respond to his tapping.
It annoys me that they included Bobbys 3 girlfriends in this number for the Tony's. I get that they wanted to feature Christiana Hendricks to bring in viewers, but having April standing next to Bobby in the chorus line defeats the purpose of the dance bit. At least they didn't do it that way in the actual musical.
Uhh I don't see anybody talking about how great Martha Plimpton is! She should winning Tonys by now!
patti lupone dominates every role she lands. god i adore her

I love NPH but nobody can touch Raul Esparza
But not even he can beat Dean Jones.
Stephen Colbert and Neil Patrick Harris.... you can't lose!
Had no idea Stephen Colbert had broadway credits. He was already incredibly entertaining, so learning this is a massibve bonus.
god patti lupone is amazing
The stage was blindingly bright with luminaries. What a number!
Honored to have seen this show live!
Allan HArper and Barney Stinson together in one play...only one word can describe it..LEGENDARY!!!!!
I love the fact that u can hear Patti's voice so clear.
The actress playing Amy dyed her hair red (I'd seen her in the production with blond hair) and I spent two minutes wondering who she was.
Danae Kolyva that blonde hair was a wig
company as a whole was amazing! i loved patti lupone's ladies who lunch :)
an all star cast!!!
Brilliant. One of the best musicals ever performed by the best cast ever. And Neil P Harris is one hot man!
DAMN what a cast....
Who’s here because the 2020 revival can’t perform this year (because of the lack of Tony Award Ceremonies)
dang covid
HOW!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE HER SHES MY IDOL

N P Harris is a magical human being!!!
I did learn that choregraphy. in a day long! :D BROADWAY I COULD DO IT!
The version on in london ATM beats every previous production hands down!!
Totally agree, ambitious choreography in london.

Why did they preform on the tony awards if they weren’t nominated at all?

Holy CRAP!!!
Alan - Jon Cryer
I know clips of this cast of Company is on youtube but I wish I could buy the DVD of the full production of this show with this cast.
I'm DYING for this to come to DVD, or at least on PBS or Netflix... All I have is this clip... :( I saw it in theaters, and I was like, in a state if shock for a few days. I just loved it so much. :D
I wish we could have seen more of Christina Hendricks here. But oh well, what a great cast.

Yep. Everyone is totally entitled to their own opinion. :)
@@rosalynimpink1488 The 2007 cast has set the standard for me.
is patti lupone in this????
This makes me wish I lived in NY
dat choreography
:O
omg did not know Stephen Colbert was in this he was awesome
This is okay, but no Raul Esparza...just lacked a certain crispness and luster. Best moment was, as expected, when Bobby had no one to respond to his tapping.
I want to go to Broadway!!!
correction, no one can touch Dean Jones on this song. Being Alive is better by Raul Esparza but Dean Jones owns the rest of this show.
Does anyone have the video of Patti Lupone singing Ladies Who Lunch? In Company, not the one from the Sondheim Birthday?
Neil looks so great in that hat!
2:42 made me wann cry :'(
@theman8398 Oh I want to SO BAD! Do you know where I can find it?
Where do I get a recording of the whole show? Has it been released?
Omg I saw Patti LuPone! :D
Well, now we know what changed Barney's mind about marriage.
I love him he made a great robert
NEEEEEILLLL *-*
... so many famous people
Can anybody confirm that this is coming to DVD?
If this is a concert version, why are they all dancing?
Is that John Cryer?
ALLAN HARPER!!!
@QuirksMcGee Why does this comment not have 10,000,000 likes?
I cannot stand this version of my favorite show
it's too overdone
+Ava Patino and this song is supposed to be fairly sad
wait he was hosting too wasn't he, damn NPH
TONY PLEASE FOR STEPHEN COLBERT!!!
@iloverent101 yup
is that who i think it is? hell ya.
is that Mathew Mcaughnhey
it was a partially staged concert version
WTF? Christina Hendricks???
Sorry, but Bobby belongs to Esparsa... His performance runs circles around NPHs.
rosalie craig's performance runs circles around them both
@Titaniacy *makes grabby hands*
KICKLINE :D

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS!!!!!!
Agreed. And I hate Patti Lupone, so that's saying something for me.
Company...ruined...
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS!
