Something that's always bothered me about Lefty is that the model doesn't really match up with the design. We know that this animatronic was built to be a walking cage sent out to capture and retrieve the Puppet for Henry's grand plan in FNaF6. The trouble is, what glimpses we get of its endoskeleton would suggest it's just your bog-standard endo used in all the 'Rockstar' series, and that just won't do.
Granted, all the puppet-kidnapping business happens off-screen, but we can assume she wouldn't have just slithered in there all on her own, right? Lefty must be capable of actually pulling the Puppet inside and holding her there, and that would necessitate an entirely unique endoskeleton. So I did a little modification here, took a couple of creative liberties there... and yeah, I think I might have let my imagination get carried away just a teensy bit with this one. Hopefully it's kind of cool, though.
The plastic shell is more-or-less exactly replicated from FNaF6, excluding some extra seams for where it opens up. The endoskeleton is completely new, and for that I took some inspiration from how I imagine the descriptions for the Twisted Ones, because Lefty is a somewhat similar concept. The sound effects and music I all made myself, except for a little bit of original Lefty sound from the salvage minigames that I snuck in there. The rest of it comes form a variety of household items: doorknobs, crank-driven egg-mixers, refrigerator noise, a pair of metal barbecue tongs, a cardboard box, a tape measure, and probably more I'm forgetting about. This is my most complex project so far in terms of foley.

Can’t believe all of this only costs $5! It also kinda reminds me of Iron Man or Darth Vader. When the puppet gets into the suit, I couldn’t help but think it was some kind of mech suit. One thing I couldn’t understand though was why the puppet didn’t escape cause the mechanisms are so slow. Anyways, great animation!

Just imagine this from Charlie's perspective: You don't know why, but you're drawn to this animatronic bear. You don't know what it is, but something about it almost forces your attention on it. (this being the False Sensory Output) The animatronic bear's chest splits open and tilts upwards. You're not worried though. It can't hurt you, you're already dead. Long, mechanical tendrils with claws slither out of the animatronic's limbs. Then you realize; it's not here to hurt you, it's here to capture you. You're scared and try to flee but it's already too late. The mechanical tendrils have already clamped onto your limbs. You keep fighting, struggling to get yourself free. Then suddenly, you hear music. It's calming. It's soothing. (this being the Dream Wand/Soother) You keep trying to fight it as it slowly drags you closer but you eventually give in and let it take you. Your legs are pulled into the bear's legs; your arms are pulled into the bears arms. Another tendril wraps around your waist and forces you further in place. The chest closes like two sinister claws locking you in their grip. Yet another tendril wraps around your neck, forcing your head back. The bear's head slips over your's and the chest fully closes. You're now imprisoned, awaiting to see where you'll be taken to next.

In Lefty's blueprints it's never really specified where the "Steady Voltage" goes but it is in listed under the dream wand/soother which is a mic thing that functions as the music box in fnaf 2 but this time you dont have to wind it for your dear life instead it is powered by the "steady voltage" thingy
The robots aren't sadistic, they are trapped child souls. Lefty was just a means of getting the puppet to stay in one place so her soul could be freed by means of the fire

This is the first time I've seen anyone actually really show how the machines function in real time. Even with fan content. Very cool. Someone could do a "How it's Made" series with all the animatronics and it'd be surprisingly fun to watch.

Charlie is aware, but she's so consumed by agony she wouldn't listen. Or at least Henry didn't trust that she would listen.

just realized with a few modifications and a failsafe, this is technically a WAY safer springlock suit, although it wouldn't be called a springlock suit due to the lack of springlocks.
To the people that disagree with this because “a human wouldn’t fit” or “the head would snap back”: what do you think “a few modifications” means?

The attention to detail is amazing. Like, it all functionally works and makes sense. You didn't have to take the time to do that, but you did. Beautiful.
I did take a lot of time making it as real as I could, but I have to confess there is some cheating going on here and there. For example, the floating tubes with the claws on them are actually too long and too thick to fully fit in the spools when they coil up. But I did make a general effort to lean towards realism, so I appreciate it being noticed!
@@TheNickofTime Amazing, i might attempt to build this irl (without the coils and adjustments to the limbs so my hands and feet fit inside) i saw this video a couple times already and i always wanted to make either lefty (because im left handed) or glamrock freddy after seeing him in Security Breach, spring bonnie is overrated and i think making an entire new exoskeleton for freddy is a lil hard so i might just go with this.

This portrayal is very calm but I imagine the puppet would put up quite a fight and the grabbing arms would be firm, and hold tight
Pretty sure this animation is more of showing the mechanical details than actually showing how the puppet was captured. And even then,this is a fan animation,nothing official at all.
Apparently, while this was happening there was a controlled shock or something? The puppet was probably unconscious during this process, but at least that means that the mechanism is as gentle as possible.

I think its interesting how lefte sort of parallels baby. Both were created by one of the founders of fazbear inc and end up capturing the creator’s daughter. But while william’s creation brutally impales his daughter with an ice cream scooper and pulls her into a mess of moving robotic parts, henry’s gently places his daughter inside.

I love the idea that the Marionette is such a good person she literally needs to be restrained just so she can stop helping people and get her happiest day.
Good, or bad depending on wich side you're looking from. On the good side, marionette is giving a chance to live again (Most of the time with vengeance motive), on the bad side, the amount of lost souls being alive just for revenge could multiply faster! So here is my theory: since Michael burned down all the locations, I think that Marionette managed to escape but couldn’t handle being so weak from that fire, so charlie ditched Mari to go into the lefty suit, they put Mari in it for a wondering soul to possess if there was another.
You see it's a process involving springlock like machanics and a mask less puppet, I'd explain it but I don't want to think about it any more then I have too

I genuinely love this so much. The thought that went into making the 3d model something actually possible than just saying "hey, Puppet's in there" (which, isn't necessarily a bad thing because game aspects don't really have to be physically possible to be a part of the game), it's so cool. The movements are so smooth and realistic. And the sound design is absolutely lovely.
I appreciate the recognition for how much thought I put into this (which was a lot, don't get me wrong), but I must come clean and say that calling it 'physically possible' would be going too far. There are all sorts of cheats going on here, like the spools in the hands and feet aren't spacious enough to fit the full coils of tube, the tubes themselves are basically just magic tentacles, and whole thing would just fall over as soon as it leaned that far back.
@@TheNickofTime ah! What I meant by possible was more of it would make sense that they were able to stick the Puppet in there, rather than just somehow it fits in there. Despite not being possible in the real world, it still makes a lot more sense theoretically. Sorry, I'm not the greatest at wording things sometimes haha

I like how this guy makes the fnaf animatronics actually function in a realistic way and how the joints would work in real life with a lot of motion in them instead of the ball joints normally used
Most of the people are saying that "look how careful and soft he is" it's a showcase, in reality it would be much more aggressive, remember left-e is meant to literally trap the puppet inside of it and the puppet is really agile and fast so left-e would need to be even faster and very aggressive to be able to capture the puppet inside of it. I imagine left-e on a back alley on night face to face with the puppet, he opens and the claws burst of of his chest so fast the puppet can't even run from them and then she's dragged into and firmly secured inside of it. Also something I never understood why it's, why does left-e attacks you during the night's? He's not possessed or anything he's just another animatronic why would even activate during the nigth and attack you? Makes no sense, he's most likely to be the only animatronic that actually does what he's supposed to do and attacking you isn't what's he's supposed to do

Well it was actually necessary, if he wanted Puppet to stay then he had to do that, because she would flee immediately
Henry was the purest soul in the whole franchise, I'd give him a big hug

The difference between lefty and something like funtime freddy is that your forcefully wearing the thing, what ever it does your forcefully doing too, I would say this is the scariest of the "being stuffed" options, but then count the ways became a thing, don't really need to argue that point

Imagine being a kid and feeling the pain of your bones being crushed in the suit trying to move but the metal won’t allow you to you begin to panic realizing that spikes are beginning to push into your chest you begin to feel the pain but it suddenly stops because of the shock but you still feel the rods go through your lungs making it near impossible to breath pared with the tight endo skeleton that is encasing you you can’t see much through the mask but you just manage to see someone watching the whole thing you question why aren’t they helping you you attempt to scream but nothing comes out in fact you can’t even open your mouth suddenly the suit begins to move your bone getting crushed in the proses as the suit begins to move towards the stage you begin to fade to black but it’s not over you wake up this time seeing everything clearly but your still in the suit stuck singing the same songs forever just waiting for the night to fall so you can move and find a way to get destroyed

You can see in 1:05, where the puppet is struggling by moving her head around.

You can see the wires firmly wrap around her body to stop her from moving around.
Edit: Also, at 0:50 the puppet pulls herself forward, clearly trying to escape from the suits grasp.

The capture itself doesn't seem violent. Of course Charlotte would struggle and try to get out because she doesn't know what's going on and why an animatronic suddenly rolls up on her and starts capturing her. She doesn't know it's her father intending to capture her and set her soul free after wandering the earth for 30+ years to watch over Afton's other victims trapped in animatronics

Since the she's still using the Marionette, it explains why Lefty's game mechanic is so much "slower." She has to build up power to not move only one suit, which she was able to just float around in, but now has to move a much heavier suit at the same time.

@@therandomnessfacility9948 More or less, it's just how I'm seeing it. Lefty is just a suit made to hold the Marionette. The Marionette, being so scrawny, was probably difficult to find since she could hide super easily not to mention float. The suit was made with the intention of keeping her weighed down and/or in a somewhat comatose state, like in the UCN where she goes "Shh" almost as if she were kind of sleeping. So it makes since that she would have to build up energy/wake up more, to be able to move not only the Marionette, but also Lefty, the very thing designed to keep her down. Also, Controls is a bit of a strong word, more like she's using so much energy to move the Marionette, that its forcing Lefty to move.

So I'm reading a bunch of comments about how Henry is such a good guy because of how Lefty was built to free his daughter. Ah yes, how thoughtful of him to create a beartrap specifically to trap her, sedate her with the music box and by zapping her with electricity, putting her in the same maze as her murderer, and burning her "alive". She likely didn't want to be freed in the first place anyway since she stuck around when Willy Arson died and is actively escaping the fires that are supposed to free her (FNaF 3).
If I were in Charlie's situation, being trapped within Lefty, I'd be scared out of my mind and I'd assume y'all would be too. She's not like the others. She's more aware of the situation and not completely consumed by revenge. The least Henry could of done if he really wanted to free her is do it in a way that wouldn't scare the crap out of his own daughter.

The Puppet / Charlie Emily is very Flexible
When it's 0:53 it kinda looks like puppet is using the lefty suit aka L.E.F.T.E as a bulk up suit instead of a capturing mechanism, just my oppinion.
EDIT: Also in 1:03, Pay close attention to puppet, it looks like it regrets going in and is trying to break out, it found out it's a trap. Not a bulk up

I feel like the most unnerving thing is the little struggle she gives when the suit is finally on
The fact that as soon as I saw the thumbnail it caught my attention out of everything else I saw before , impresses even me because this was worth it
