      @@ryancarlo9328 Clough got Forest relegated and never won the FA Cup. Don Revie was a better manager

    The interviews in the film were hyperbolic compared with the originals, and the same can be said of the entire film, but Sheen captured Clough’s accent and mannerisms very well I thought.

      The film and book are utter crap but, Sheen was very good as Clough.

    The film was brilliant exploring the dynamics and characters of the time.....and the casting was excellent... Clough was a genius

    He is Clough. Chris Tarrant, not so much.

      Funny you should say that, as the real Chris Tarrant was blown away by Sheen's portrayal of him. Who is anyone to argue with that?

      @@bramleydragon That's Interesting, Sheen's Clough and David Frost were spot on. He's obviously got a knack for impressions but I just didn't think he got Tarrant 100%.

      His acting is top notch and played the role of Tarrant with serious justice. His ability to research and exactly mimic the man was uncanny. He had him to a t
      Tbf his voice wasnt 100% so I know what your saying. He was slightly too game showey for what chris used to be. But as a whole package he was pretty much Tarrant.

      Yes but having just watched original footage most of what's said here was said by clough main difference is that he was interviewed by 3 sports writers

      @@Forestgravy90 That maybe true, but if you are going to call your character Brian Clough, put him in a similar studio with an Austin Mitchell-alike, open with a 70s Yorkshire Television card, and have him use some of the conversation from the original half hour interview (often out of context), I think it's fair comment - useful even - to point out the dissimilarities. Especially so when we are not seeing the scene in the context of the film: it's a short clip on RUclips.
