Gracias por reaccionar a éste bello dueto del maestro querido Dimash y el maestro Plácido Domingo, ellos eran parte del jurado de éste programa Virtuosos y nos regalaron ésta aria.Saludos desde Argentina 🤗👋🇦🇷
Placido was one of the original 3 Tenors. Dimash was classically trained and was offered a job as opera tenor at Astana Opera when he graduated from university, but Dimash turned it down to pursue his own path of music which he called it neo-classical crossover. Thank God he did, because otherwise he would only be known to just the opera world and not the genre defying Dimash of today. ❤😊
Dimash is soooo good! For the lucky ones who will be able to attend the next concerts: September 13, 2024. Astana, Kazakhstan. 5th World Nomad Games. November 22, 2024. Prague, Czech Republic. November 24, 2024. Düsseldorf, Germany.
This was the Virtuosos competition for young people in the classics. Dimash was invited by Placido Domingo, to join the panel, as a judge. There is a 53 year age difference. One of the other judges was Placido Jr. & also Hauser. Placido wanted to do a duet with Dimash & this was the result. Dimash learned the lyrics in another language the day before, & they had one rehearsal. Marvelous performance!
👉 The world stands still for this moment and everyone holds their breath. A singing teacher calls them the two musical titans...yes, yes, yes! This duet was Dimash's dream and it is coming true. What an honor for our beloved Dimash and a great joy for Maestro Domingo…. And I was bathed in tears of joy. I'm sooo happy. Dimash was asked to participate as a judge in the competition for young classical musicians... and then... he gave us dear ones this wonderful jewel. Maestro Domingo invited Dimash to sing the duet with him the day before. Dimash only had a short night to learn this song in French... and besides, Dimash had a cold with a cough. (You notice it more clearly in the second song at the end of the concert.) Dimash would never act recklessly towards his duet partners. With good manners and respect, he would never drown out Maestro Domingo (then still 82) with his voice. He even adapts to Maestro Domingo's vocal color. Dimash opens a new world to many Dears... the world of classical music. You should definitely watch the video (look at the end of the comment)... so many young, talented musicians and the sensitive assessment of the jurors... Great!!! ... and the legendary duet of Maestro Domingo and Dimash Qudaibergen! The duet is about two fisherman friends. They see a beautiful new priestess in the village and they both fall in love with her.The two friends vow not to let any woman come between them. * Plácido Domingo (*1941 Madrid/Spain) is already a legend today. He is a world-renowned, versatile artist and is considered one of the best and most influential singers in opera history, with more than 150 roles and over 4,000 performances celebrated by audiences on stages around the world. He sings tenor and baritone and was one of the three tenors with Carreras and Pavarotti in the 90s. There is not necessarily a right or wrong track to be on with your interpretation of this song. Your interpretation is as valid as any. The context of the song within the opera that it is from is two best friends who have fallen in love with the same woman. Ultimately, rather than letting that ruin their friendship, they come to an understanding that their friendship is stronger and is not to be torn apart by this shared love for the same person.
A beautiful union of voices, the best of the best, no matter what Dimash performs, opera, pop, rock, jazz, traditional music , neoclassical music he does everything spectacular , love his voice. Thank you all your interest in Dimash, thanks for your reaction. Best wishes.

Hi! This was during a talent show where Dimash, Plácido Domingo, Hauser and other celebrities were judges. I think they sang only for them. Dimash is a very eclectic artist!! Regards from Argentina...
Many bel canto teachers have verified that Dimash brings a cross interpretation between rigid classical singing (which must follow norms and exactly as the author of the piece wrote, from the notes and durations, the portamentos, the expressiveness... Everything) and much more popular flexibility. For purists, let's remember that Dimash had the dream of singing with Plácido Domingos since he was a child and it was the Maestro himself, Don Domingos, who suggested the duet (he knew that even with classical training, Dimash would sing as a cross between classical and pop )! Dimash only had one day to remember the work and make the recording, as this moment is part of the competition (like a talent show) for children with musical talent: The “Virtuosos”! Dimash, as well as Placido Domingos, were part of the Jury, accompanied by Erika Miklósa (opera singer), Adrás Keller (violinist, conductor and musical director of the Budapest Concert), Hauser (cellist), Plácido Domingos Jr. (singer and composer), Pablo Sanz Villegas (classical guitarist), Gabriela Rachid (cultural director) and Harvey Goldsmith (music promoter)! The show was in Budapest (Hungary) from January 16th to 26th this year, 2024!
Thank you for your reaction. This was a dream come true for Dimash. He shared that at the age of 5, he had a VHS of a concert by Maestro Domingo and dreamed of meeting and working with him from that time. I am sure Dimash appreciated the opportunity to support young classical artists at the invitation of Maestro Domingo. Magical!
This performance was from a two-part competition for child virtuosi, singers and musicians. Placedo Domingo invited Dimash to be one of the judges. Domingo's song was a judge, too. The 2-part series might be a great thing for your classical week. It's also more varied than an opera because each child performed in a different way or different instrument.
Well as you say, honesty is key. IMO you cannot say you love music if you do not practically listen to all music. If you have not listened to music from around the world, you do not love music. My father made us appreciate all types of music saying, music is storytelling with sound. All countries have their myths and stories and listening to their music makes you connect with peoples and cultures. All interpret differently, and have varied musical instruments including their voice that tells their story. It should not be about taste its about the story. Be interested, not close minded. That's how I've always approached music.
@@KitaBelle23 not sure if you aimed that comment at ME, or to people out there that stick to limited music. ...but I agree with you, and our over 1000+ reactions show we have listened and reacted to a plethora of genres and styles around the world, with an open mind. ~ Tazzz ~
Thank you so very much Tazz. I had forgotten that I requested this song.🤭 If you had seen the original Opera (and not run off the nearest cliff screaming from 2 hours of Opera😂😂😂), you would have known that the "Goddess" part is in the eye of the beholder. 😏 This is 2 friends, both awestruck and head over heels in love with a new beautiful young Priestess at their local Temple. They are singing about her but also agreeing that their friendship should not be broken by both falling in love with the same woman.❤ Opera is a very strict rigid form of music that Dimash adapts to beautifully while honouring the famous Pacido Domingo. I love harps too. One of my favorite Canadian vocalists, Loreena McKennitt is a harpest who plays as she sings. 🥰🥰Much love from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
Awwww, ur welcome. You may have forgotten you suggested this song, but "I" couldnt forget you. 😏 Lololol, I see you appreciated the jumping over cliff part. 🤣. Yes, I need opera by the spoonful only. Its too bad the people of today are so estranged from the higher quality of the classical realm. Yeah sure....its ok. Do you understand the level of skill and study it takes to attain such vocal and instrumental and compositional presentations? Real people playing real instruments constructing often complex pieces of aural art with depth and substance. It is like building a world. Not just chicken scratch lyrics with 3 chords. Such music sharpens our minds and nourishes our soul. Variety is obviously important. Simplicity as well. We need all of it.
@@skirk9184 I definitely understand AND respect the level of skill and study of it all...however, it still has to be an acquired taste. Its not for everyone wholeheartedly. I swear there are things in life YOU dont enjoy....doesnt mean something is wrong with you, or you dont understand it. I said in one or more of the reactions tonight, that we are not clones on earth. Variety is the spice of life. Their are a plethora of classical lovers in the world, and more being born. So, I say let the chips fall where they may. Lastly, I wouldnt bash and call certain things chicken scratch, or other negative things. Just respect what Others love. I never bash or disrespect classical music.
