      You know I don't mean it as an insult to state the obvious for any person doing something in a language that is not their native tongue. I love Dimash but reality is reality for everybody, unless the whole world changed it's viewpoint to just accommodate one person. It would be great if that were the case but most people wouldn't watch Anybody in a movie that they had to struggle to understand without subtitles whether it was in France, Netherlands, Iraq or any other country. Dimash is otherworldly but he still lives on this one and is bound by it's biases and perceptions.

    This three year project of and by Dimash requires thought and with the symbolism it needs study. Most deep texts do. The Bible. Like an onion. The layers here genius...especislly for such a young man. When Dimash sang the score live st Almaty....it just locked it in. He"s legendary genius. Professional..a scholar and truly a gentleman without pretense...but grace. A densely woven fabric rooted deeply but vulnerable. I pray for his personal happiness. And that we always strive toward peace and kindness and well being. We are our brothers keeper....not killer.

    You have just seen a masterpiece. The reaction, as always, has been honest and intelligent; I check every detail of the production.
    I think it took Dimash and the team three years to carry it out.
    And if I tell you that the live performance is at the level of the short film; or better yet, in terms of interpretation... Am I exaggerating?... See for yourself.
    Thanks for reacting; keep it up.

    Hello Ken! Thank you for your sincere reaction, you were right on with the story line, until the end! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!
    Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that?
    Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History.
    This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it:
    This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform.
    1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end.
    2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end.
    3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war.
    “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead.
    For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony.
    I’M CHOSING LIFE!! 🙏🙏
    See you in your next reaction. Diane with love from Canada 🥰

    It was called One Sky - Requiem. All three died. His wife died in childbirth and her necklace was placed on the child. Dimash joined those many countries in the journey for peace and the light. There are many symbolic elements. He wrote the script and music. This is his commitment to PEACE. The live version from Almaty is stunning.

  • @OnMyWay1968
    @OnMyWay1968 4 месяца назад +1

    The Story of one Sky is a very complex video. It is full of messages and symbolism and definitely something you need to watch more than once. The text is of course very important because it tells you what the whole thing is supposed to say.
    The choice to kill the leader would not be Dimash's choice, but it is presented that way to show what the cycle of violence is like. Dimash at the end is not a reincarnation, it is the baby who has grown up. So the next generation that does it better.
    I wish people would be smarter and we wouldn't have to wait for the next generation to stop letting the leaders send us into unnecessary, senseless wars. Why do we keep going along with this? If we didn't follow, there would be no war. So let's take this as a message and stop letting crazy leaders plunge us into misfortune.

    La escribió y produjo Dimash y tardo tres años en hacerla. La niña que matan es su hija con su esposa, amiga de la infancia al comienzo del vídeo, y que ahora esta de parto de su segundo hijo. El militar es el que fue su amigo de la infancia que lo salvo de ahogarse. La vida es impredecible. El Dimash del final, a mi juicio es su hijo, ya hecho un hombre que guía a los hombres de todas las religiones y razas hacia un futuro luminoso y de paz

  • @karenkohler-l1y
    @karenkohler-l1y 4 месяца назад +6

    Such a great reaction! You really seemed to be able to take in all the complexity of this masterpiece at once which is very unusual and very hard to do. The small metal piece for the necklace is a gnomon, which is the vertical part of a sundial The hole in the middle allows the sun to shine through so that it can be used for navigation. Here, in my opinion, it represents a moral compass (to follow the light?). The Piper bends his and then as the leader, wherever you see that symbol, it no longer has a hole and he has obviously lost his way. An earlier commenter I read said, and I agree, that the people in the desert represent the people from all religions who have given their lives to try to teach peace and brotherhood and lead us to the light. Some represent specific people, like Jesus. In this vocalized section he is singing all the great religions of the world. The end can be interpreted many ways. Many think Dimash is the baby grown up. I believe, knowing who the people in the desert are, Dimash has given his life as well and has joined them in the march to the light. We are left with hope of the baby.
    For sure you need to watch his live performance of this in Almaty..from the official video, not fancam. It is in part 3 of the Almaty concert at about 23:12 with his heartfelt speech introducing the video.The live performance allows you to focus on his composition, message and vocals. This performance was the day after he presented the video to a large conference of the leaders of the world”s great religions, including the Pope who presented him with a medal for his commitment to peace. The statement at the end is from the statement released at the end of that conference.

      I considered at one time that the final scene was souls marching to the afterlife, but of course the "Jesus" figure actually dies and is laid to rest. So they are living people, and their leader is Dimash's son.

    Dimash - Requiem: The Story of One Sky
    When you are watching this story, your brain is hearing a song, hearing talking dialog in the background, watching a movie and trying to figure out what's going on, and what's coming next, and reading text..all at the same time as your emotions are all over the place. It's impossible to get all that's going on the first time through. here is a breakdown of the information so you can get your answers and then concentrate on whichever part is important to you.
    This is really long and I get that you want to blow through it, however, it's by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober:
    This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. In the "vocalise" portion of this song there is, woven into the music, the Muslim call to prayer, the Jewish Shofar, the "om" of Buddhism and Hinduism, and the bells of the Christian church
    It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan.
    The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad El-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting.
    Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself.
    The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information).
    In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral l compass.
    Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon.
    It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way.
    The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war.
    The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence.
    That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against?
    The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price?
    War is not the answer. We must find better ways to keep evil in check. iowaculture.gov/.../American-troops-move-through
    The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful "Om" chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life.
    Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. The fog of war obscures the light.
    When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering.
    He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby.
    The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused, and judgment is removed.”
    Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect.
    Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness's of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams: who looks inside, awakes.”
    This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka Bashad.

      Well said. If we follow God (the light, mercy, love for all our brothers and sisters) we have a chance at finding peace under this one sky. We don't have to agree with everyone different than ourselves to still love and respect each other and live in peace. If we help each other instead of always finding ways of hurting each other, we could finally have a peaceful co-existence. I believe this is what Dimash is trying to get us to do.

    ✨🤍✨DIMASH SINGS✨🤍✨
    POPE Francis Awards Dimash a Medal🏅✨🤍✨
    VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions 14/09/2022
    About 108 delegations from 50 countries took part in the event. Representatives of Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Shintoism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism and other religions.
    ✨DIMASH THE BRAVE✨
    DIMASH NEWS 🌐
    Best Definition of Storyline
    Everything Completely
    Explained Beautifully✨❤✨
    What This 🦌✨👀
    The children on the beach 🐚🌊 acted so beautifully, showing the dynamics of their friendship. The underlying competition of the boys who both 👦🏻👦🏻 love 👧🏻 her. Noting that she makes her choice with the thought of losing 😢 Dimash (That smile of coming back to Life. That Knowing). Then the sharing of the sun ☀️ dial as a symbol of Friends Forever (Love, Light & Time)✨
    The words of the Pied Piper (leading people to war) were blatantly stupid, as they always are if you really listen to any Pied Piper (well done for pointing that out). Also, the symbol being corrupted from Love to Hate, Light to Darkness (upside down isn’t unnoticed) 🥺
    Dimash, his Pregnant Wife (the girl on the beach), & Daughter are on the defensive side of the war.
    While Dimash is fighting, his family is helped to safety.
    But the Wife goes into labor, & the Daughter goes back for her treasured 🧸
    Defense being only necessary because the Piper takes control & freedom from others. Forcing his soldiers with the always-present threat of
    "Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity."
    Blah, Blah, Blah‼️
    Dimash makes his way home to his family, only to see he is too late (the burning town sign).
    Calling on all the strength of Man’s ✨Spirit✨ to face what he fears in his home. He takes the step 🥾forward.
    ✨🎶✨The Crying For Strength Too The Soul For Needed Endurance ✨🎶✨
    Seeing his Daughter dead.
    The deep words going to pick her up are "Man Is A Caravan, Life Is A Road."
    Thinking there’s no way his Daughter is dead without the same fate happening to his Wife. He's got nothing left to lose, so he chooses to sacrifice his life to stop the Piper’s madness.
    His Son is born. The symbol is placed upon him for the death of his Mother in labor.
    The only time in the video where we See him sing is in the water. The emotion to scream his message clearly‼️
    “We’re Choosing Life.”
    Notice Dimash & Wife are together in the boat at the end. The striving of souls to the Light ☀️. His grown Son wears the ⏳ symbol on the path to a Peaceful Future with All ✨🌎✨ Leaders

    Cedric Cegel did two incredibly insightful analysis of both the cinematography and the symbolism in this video. It is definitely worth a watch because it lends a lot of perspective to what we hear and see. In the comments of of of the videos someone shed a lot of light on for instance what the Brandenburg sign alludes to. Another person explained where the charm comes from, and the symbolism behind that. This video deserves to be studied at college for a year instead of a Shakespeare novel.

      "Alas, Fair Justmyopinion1010, hitherto shall angelic Dimash be lifted to heights exceeding my own and eclipse me as a radiant symbol of light and hope unparalleled through the ages and studied as a paragon of virtue". I think that was a direct quote from Shakespeare but I could be wrong.

    I hope u will go watch Dimash singing this on stage in his Almaty concert. U really "get" the important message Dimash is sharing with all of us . Almaty is the place where Dimash and family live, the concert takes place at a huge outdoor concert. I didnt think it was possible for him to perform it on stage, but he did. Well worth watching. He is exhausted and almost collapses from the importance he gives to sharing his message.

    Yes, he inspires us all to strive to be the best that we can be with our own unique talents.
    It's important to have captions on. Dimash says, in any performance, he regards his voice as merely one instrument he brings 'in service of' the storyline he is trying to convey.
    Here, in this Masterpiece of a Mini-Movie { with a maxi-message } rather than a music video. his voice, spectacular as ever, is the background sound track, supporting the fast moving visuals. The end shot is the baby ( reincarnated 'Dimash' character } all grown up and joining the pilgrimage of all races and religions journeying together toward a brighter future for all humanity - leaving crazy territorial and genocidal 'Pipers' and their wars behind.

    Watching the acoustic version of OMIR, perhaps Dimash's most personal song-- as he composed it and wrote the lyrics himself (and performs here with his little brother, Mansur) one can perhaps gain some deeper appreciation for Dimash's beautiful native Kazakh language. (See the MV first .) I hope he never strives to sound like a native English speaker. Thank you for your affectionate and respectful reaction to TSOOS, Dimash's masterpiece.

  • @zemanoshtronz
    @zemanoshtronz 4 месяца назад +2

    Congrats on the reaction! Well, some considerations:
    (1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
    (2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
    (3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). He then hypnotized one hundred and thirty children from the city of Hamelin and locked them in a cave. Yeah, well, the "pied piper" (also called "ratcatcher") has become synonymous with the tyrant who uses a mesmerizing speech and leads to death!
    (4) The term "Imagine" refers to the song of the same name by John Lennon;
    (5) The final text is part of the document generated at the 2019 Congress of World Religious Leaders and the music presented at the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on 14/09/2022 and was attended by of Pope Francis, representing the Catholic Church and who presented Dimash, on the occasion, with a medal of gratitude.
