- Love this song and the production of it as well. I hope you dears don't mind me gushing about Dimash a little more. I'm sure you don't. He was one of the first artists that really got me watching so many reactions.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. That is beautiful and how great you got to share that with him. I'm sure he was delighted and that's why he sings to connect and transform the person who is listening to be in a enlightened space to pause and reflect on your own life and how these songs and the words elevate your personal conversation of self and how you can see something your going through more clearly and elevate your life conversation. It's that powerful and he respects and is humbled by the gravity of which that holds. That's what makes him a vessel in a way that that is completely unique to Dimash.

14:37 Dimash chooses songs and does the arrangements to fulfill the purpose of the song he did it with SOS, you can see that in many of his backstage footage. Many producers tried to influence him in a more commercial direction but Dimash refuses, he politely says No and then runs in the opposite direction. He has that much respect for music, lyrics, songwriters and melody.
That's what one of his teachers (Marat Aytimov) once said in an intervew: Dimash always listened politely to his elders, but then did excatly what he wanted 😂

It's amazing how a young man, with all the well-being, manages to convey the pain of the inevitable loss of a loved one. This can be heard in every note of the singer and in the musical accompaniment. The words "don't go away" sound so shrill that you involuntarily start crying. I do not know who exactly made the arrangement, Dimash usually works with his friend Yerlan Bachurin. Japanese poet Goro Matsui, the author of the lyrics of the song ”Ikanaide", tweeted: "A foreign singer performed the song "Ikanaide" in our native language! I've heard it sung by foreign singers, but he's the first one to perform this song so beautifully in Japanese." Goro Matsui also shared that he would be glad to hear some more songs performed by Dimash, which he also composed together with the author of the music and the first performer of "IKANAIDE" Koji Tamaki.

I was lucky to watch him live singing this song (the Chinese version) in New York concert. It was beautiful and live and stunning and then when it ended he sang parts of it with the audience and then you realize that his crazy voice is real when he sings acapella thank you

There is a live performance of this song on the I am a Singer competition in China. However that is the Chinese version entitled Autumn Strong. It has completely different lyrics and a very sad background story. He sings that one in mandarin. Both songs are beautiful beyond words. ❤️

This performance was live streamed to the Tokyo Jazz Festival, but I understand from Japanese reactors who actually watched the live stream as it happened, that Dimash chose different pictures to be put out for this video, as to those that were actually live streamed to Tokyo. So I would say that the soundtrack was live. Tokyo Jazz Festival always insist that the performances are live streamed as they have had to be during COVID, when obviously the artists weren’t allowed to participate in the festival in person.

It´s another one master piece by Dimash. This song is so special... The excellence of Dimash is insane.
Dimash pays tribute to Koji Tamaki`s original, and also to Yoshiko Yamaguchi`s *story* , and voice :) (you can see her beauty and hear her amazing voice in the link below). "Ikanaide" was written about her sad real life story : written *metaphorically* as a plea for a loved one not to leave, the song actually describes the pain of actress-singer Yoshiko Yamaguchi that had to go into exile. Born in China, she hid her japanese heritage under a chinese name (Li Xiang Lan), became very famous. After WWII, her heritage was exposed, she was arrested, accused of being a spy, and sentenced to death. She was ultimately cleared of charges, but was advised to leave the country, as she risked being lynched. The song describes her pain in separating from China and her chinese name. The soprano section added by Dimash is meant to express her pain. /// She also had an amazing voice
Dimash also performed the chinese version of this song, called "Autumn Strong/Late Autumn" (you probably know this already :) ) - first time during The Singer competition in China (2017), as the first chinese song he ever sang (worked like crazy in the week given to him, to get the pronunciation right), and managed to bring the audience to tears. Now he performs the chinese version in all his concerts (sometimes combines the 2 versions and sings half in chinese and half in japanese :) ) He got an award in Hong Kong for "Autumn Strong", and for "Ikanaide", a co-writer of the song said that Dimash`s cover was the best foreigner cover :) (japanese pronunciation included :)) )

You described his singing so well, I feel the same, that he uses things (ranges and techniques) that others don`t - because he has them, and he 'thinks in them", he thinks in those ranges and techniques, like someone who can put a brush on canvas and move it to produce an image, paints - those capabilities are an integral part of their thinking and functioning process, and painting is a result of that. I never tried to sing. I could complain - "why would someone sustain a note, when they can just talk ?" And that would be silly of me 😄
Every note Dimash sings mirrors in his eyes and is underscored by his hands.
He could sing the phonebook and make it sound romantic. He brings us joy and tears in the same breath and if you don't feel that, your soul is sleeping💖

You are completely right. It's like to say that a dancer who is more agile and flexible and graceful than other dancers overdances. Completely ridiculous. It's a studio recording, so no matter what anybody says, there is no way to know whether it's live. Personally, I don't care if it is or isn't because Dimash has performed this song (the Chinese version) live countless times (starting with the Singer contest in 2017) and he can do it just as amazing live.
it's recorded live. The fact that people question that is a testament to how good he is. Dimash sings. He is a master at his craft. When sets out to perform a song, he doesn't desire or need to use the crutch of a pre-recording. The studio setting is used as an intimate setting on purpose. This is not a song to flail about except when his vocal demands it. To lip sync this convincingly would merit an Oscar. And, to Dimash there would be no point as an artist.
It always gets me that people try to read into him what he's thinking. Dimash is a different breed most people today find quite alien. To me he's a real breath of fresh air of authenticity, quality, innovation, class and character.

Excellent reaction. You are correct Dimash doesn't over react, as you said he utilizes things others don't even know. He is a perfectionist and wants to express the absolute best of the song. That's ONE of the reasons he is so different, noticed and beloved.

Therefore, Dimash performed the song from the studio, like other participants and guests of the festival. This version of the song is the original, it was composed by the Japanese composer and singer Koji Tamaki. Dimash sings "Ikanaide" ("Please don't go") in Japanese for the first time. Previously, Dimash sang "Strong Autumn" - the Chinese version for this music, but the lyrics are different. Koji Tamaki called Dimash the best foreign performer of "Ikanaide".

Was watching a different reaction to this song the other day and the reactor mentioned he wasn't able to find one with subtitles and i suddenly realised that out of the millions of times iv watched this I have never even thought about subtitles and i think it's because this particular song is just so incredibly good that it's just not ever been needed. This one is in my top 5 for sure it's an absolute master class in singing and performing..truly incredible. DIMASH ❤️
I'm glad that you noticed it - that Dimash is "seeing" something when he sings. He once said that his mentors taught him to have an image of the song in his head while he sings and to never let go of that image until the song was over. You see it clearly especially in his more difficult vocal pieces like Olimpico (Igor Krutoy's live concert version) and Ave Maria and Sinful Passion - he is completely immersed in the music and when it ends you can see him step out of that space. The expression on his face, his demeanor, changes. That's one of the reasons that listening to him sing is amazing but to watch him sing is an experience. He is mesmerizing. When I first heard him sing, I knew that I was witnessing a phenomenon and he has only gotten better with time. I always say that Dimash IS music in human form.
Smile, forgetting to read the subtitles can happen very easily with Dimash because he simply draws you into the song and watching him becomes much more important than the lyrics he sings.
No one, no artist or singer on earth completely has the skills, creativity and sensitivity to blend musical and vocal styles in a spontaneous and masterful way like Dinmuhamed Kanatuly Qudaibergen...Dear Dimash. He breaks the barriers of sung music, overcoming all known vocal limits because the power and versatility of his voice is far superior to any we've ever heard. A singer entirely from other dimensions. Hearing his voice is a challenge to how we truly perceive and love music. Hi. You have a very pleasant way of reacting and talking🏝, and I also relate to your thoughts about the performance. When you have time, you could look up the true story behind the song - or songs, since the lyrics of the original Japanese song and the Chinese version are different. They tell about the same person and the same episode, but in their own way. I like the versions made by the original singer Koji Tamaki very, very much, and I think Dimash has really made justice to the song (and so did also Koji Tamaki think, I understood).

Первое время, когда я слушала Димаша, у меня пересыхало и болело горло. Представить невозможно, что происходит с певцами, когда они слышат такой вокал! А если реакционер ещё и художник, то голос Димаша просто рисует всю песню и передает все эмоции, заложенные в лирике. Спасибо, вам, вы такой замечательный тонкий ценитель творчества Димаша!
