I think it is a masterpiece. I hope you will talk about the music too, not only the vocals and the video. I think the composition itself is so beautiful
You mean besides his great singing and story? That Dimash is touched by this topic very personally and it is no coincidence that he recorded the song soon after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. Immediately after that, Dimash canceled all his concerts in Russia. In the song, the story with the friend is a metaphor for his relationship with Russia.
Thank you Peter. This is Dimash's masterpiece. He worked on it for 3 years. He spent a ton of money on it and had the best people working on it from several countries. He showed it to the council on religions and the Pope was there and gave Dimash a medal of gold for his work towards peace. This story and composition and his vocal choices are for world peace. The taller boy becomes the commander, the drowning boy - soldier, the girl - the pregnant mother and wife of the soldier. (the 'piper' is not the girl, it is like 'pied piper' ) The symbols on the necklaces is the gnomon - A gnomon is the part of a sundial that casts a shadow. Notice that the taller boy ends up squeezing his and it becomes distorted. The little girl who is murdered is the soldier's daughter. The soldier kills his old friend and is then killed in return. The mother dies in childbirth. The baby gets the necklace placed on him after his mother dies. The baby grows to be the leader of the pilgrims from ALL religions who are struggling towards the light and away from war. The quote at the end is from the council of religions (I think). The vocals from Dimash are different chants from different religions. This is stunning in all ways. Thank you for your reaction and analysis. This was so very interesting.
‘The Story of One Sky’ - an important fact: Every 3 years the ‘Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions’ is held in Kazakhstan. The Congress reports directly back to the United Nations’ and the final message at the end of ‘One Sky’ is a quote from the report submitted in 2019. In September 2022 Dimash was invited to perform at the ‘Seventh Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions’ and actually premiered (singing ‘live’) “The Story of One Sky” to over 100 religious leaders at this ‘closed’ event. These leaders responded with a standing ovation and referred to ‘One Sky’ as the unofficial anthem of the event. The following day Dimash was presented to Pope Francis and was given a medal and he received a blessing from the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Whamad el-Tayeb. So, choosing both the quote at the end of the song/MV and what he chooses to do in the ‘vocalise’ section of the song then becomes, to me anyway, more poignant and powerful. In the ‘vocalise’ there is, at the very least, the Muslim call to prayer, the Jewish Shofar, the Om of Buddhism and Hinduism and the bells of the Christian church so he has woven musical references of the world’s faiths together ! This year, Dimash: 1. Was appointed the ‘United Nations IOM Goodwill Ambassador’ 2. Was appointed ‘Goodwill Ambassador for the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions’ 3. Performed for twelve Heads of States 4. Met with the Secretary General of the UN For me, it is so good to know that an artist who advocates so strongly for peace is being heard by these leaders.
He certainly knew what he was doing when he wrote both the music and the screenplay for this. Although he'd been playing with this music for a long time I don't think he really knew where he was going with it until he finally found it's purpose and all of a sudden it was finished and he gifted the world with this masterpiece. It's certainly made it's impact, from being shown in film awards ceremonies around the world, to it's first live performance in front of the Congress of World Religions, accompanying Dimash's speech on the Ethics of Peace and for the Peace One Day Foundation. No wonder why Dimash was appointed Goodwill Ambassador for Migration by the United Nations and Goodwill Ambassador for The Congress of World Religions, the only one who was not a religious leader from the 5 chosen for the role.
I don't know how people get through this video without tears. Powerful. Timely. Much of Dimash's worldview is right here in this piece. After iI first watched when Dimash released it, my ADHD inability to multitrack made me rerun it four times before I could focus on the actual lyrics.
Congratulations on choosing this song! Well, some considerations: (1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya! (2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time); (3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). He then hypnotized one hundred and thirty children from the city of Hamelin and locked them in a cave. Yeah, well, the "pied piper" (also called "ratcatcher") has become synonymous with the tyrant who uses a mesmerizing speech and leads to death! (4) The term "Imagine" refers to the song of the same name by John Lennon; (5) The final text is part of the document generated at the 2019 Congress of World Religious Leaders and the music presented at the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on 14/09/2022 and was attended by of Pope Francis, representing the Catholic Church and who presented Dimash, on the occasion, with a medal of gratitude.
Thank You Peter, I've had a cáncer surgery early this morning, and I'm in they recorey room now,; and You have given me a precius monent, thank You so much. Have a nice afternoon and a blessed week You all❤😢
Thank you for your reaction Peter, always very interesting, this is a masterpiece that leaves no one indifferent. The term "Piper" refers to "Pied Piper of Hamelin", to the leaders of the world, and the mantra OM, the low note, is performed by Dimash , yes!!! . The words spoken by Dimash in Growl technique are " Адам керуен, өмер жол " "The Man is a Caravan, Life is the Road". Un gran abrazo desde Chile ❤🇨🇱
An absolute masterpiece through-and-through. Might not have a single tangible flaw. With that three-year span, I think he was right to take his time on this project. Because just look at the incredible results. When he explodes with vocal distortion it breaks me. A truly stunning miniature movie. And an amazing masterwork gift to the world. Don’t need 🤜🤛 We need 🤝
It's not only in USA, you know... In France too, and I think it's like rot that is gradually taking over the world... We need more Dimashes. Or Dears, at least. 💖
You probably won’t want to react to it after this but the live performance of this song at the Almaty concert is epic compared to the video. I watched it because I wondered if he could pull it off live. He aced it of course! It’s well worth a watch.
@@JustMyOpinion1010 not wanting to correct you as I hate this argument personally but one of my friends was at the Almaty concert and less than a metre away from him when he was screaming out the last part. She also pointed out that she wasn't near the speakers or any part of the sound system and she said what she heard was his true natural voice and it was real. I also thought originally that this was a lipsynced performance and I wouldn't have blamed him because it's a hell of a song to sing and he wouldn't have wanted to mess it up the night before the official launch of the MV but I also know my friend, she's a straight arrow and if she says she heard him singing from being that close to him then I'm inclined to believe her.
Thank you so much Peter for this reaction/analysis. Your opinion means a lot to me so I'm happy that you liked it. Hopefully you have got a lot of explanations from others here and I hope that you will sit down and enjoy this masterpiece many times Looking forward to your next Dimash analysis
I'm sure I'm repeating some of what others have already said. You've captured the story well. Three friends at the beginning, one saves the other from drowning, but both want the girl and only one gets her. Whether that's really the reason one of them becomes a dictator is the question. The fact is that Dimash, who was saved later on, married the girl. That is also the woman who gives birth to the child. The dead child, the girl who looks at the soldier like that, is Dimash's daughter, and therefore also the woman's daughter. The baby is her son. Hence this great bitterness and revenge, because Dimash doesn't know that his wife has been saved, he feels his family has been wiped out. Of course, this isn't meant to call for revenge, it just shows the spiral of violence that plays out over and over again. By the way, you've clearly recognized that Dimash the soldier appears right at the beginning, because the images are so dark, many people miss it. The end is often confusing, because Dimash appears again, but not as the former soldier, but as the grown-up baby, the son who takes a path of peace and leads everyone into the light. And now imagine at a concert and Dimash sings it all live, including the growling part and the ohm in between. I'll link it to you in two versions, one fancam and one the concert part that includes the song. That was the live premiere in Almaty. Concert: From minute 23:16 you can still hear what he says before the song. He sang Stranger right before that. ruclips.net/video/YP1r9wlkmHU/видео.html Fancam: ruclips.net/video/IH7hhSw6CfU/видео.html
Great reaction Peter 🙌 This masterpiece has shaken all of us, it is a plea for peace, Dimash scream is a desperate call to think for ourselves and change our sad destiny if we continue to follow mistaken leaders or symbols that just divide us and have made us lose the horizon. Love is the answer to live a better and fair life for everybody. What a pain to see us, as humanity, reflected in this MV. 🥹🥲🌹💔🎤🔝 The Story of One Sky” was composed by Dimash and the script of the MV was written by him also. It took him three years to finish it. Dimash and his team worked very hard to make it and all of them deserve we show appreciation for the amazing artistic work they’ve done. “It was perfectly scripted and beautifully acted" ☮️🕊️
He actually has done low growls in his live performances. Watch vocalise Know Ascolta la voce. One of the many live performances at his concerts of this composition. There are plenty fancams and also the official recording from the Kyiv concert on his channel. The greatest artist for me.
THANKS for your reactions to Dimash!!!!…. “The story of one sky” is a three-year project of Dimash.; with his masterful and emotional voice he tells us: “war is death and we choosing life”. Amazing and more perfect Dimash. Saludos desde México. 🇲🇽🇰🇿🇲🇽🇰🇿🇲🇽🥰❤️😍
DIMASH is such a creative genius plus having the VOICE OF THE CENTURY. His words are so meaningful. TOO bad more entertainers DO NOT sing with Kind of conviction and meaning.
Thanks for the reaction... and you may listen to his concert performance alive all these sounds... just go to his Astana concert part 3 around 25min... cheers... I personally listened alive this song on his Istanbul concert....amazing ... astonishing..
Dimash is crying over his dead daughter in his arms, while his wife (who he thinks is also dead) is listening to their second child! This is a masterpiece! I highly recommend you to see its premiere live at the live concert in Almaty!
Great reaction. This is an amazing performance, very thought provoking this always makes me cry . Dimash is promoting world peace . Thanks from a Scottish Dear 🏴🏴🏴
Fantastic reaction! I always look forward to see your reactions on Dimash. This one is a very heavy true of what the world is experienced and it always had unfortunately. We humans should not allow all what our “leaders” are doing since they don’t let us be free, be empathetic, loving and respectful with other humans. Thank to us they lead so we should be able to agree or disagree with them. Greetings from México and do more reactions on Dimash please 🇲🇽 ❤

Thank you so much for your comments on his voice and how he does what he does…I learnt a lot ….one day I hope to hear this song at his concerts….he does an amazing job! As you just did …peace be with you ❤️🇨🇦
Great reaction Peter! I really enjoyed what you did here with Dimash’s masterwork. As I see here in the comments, yes, you should see Dimash performing this live, in the Astana Concert. He isn’t boosted, there is no studio, but everything you heard here in recording, you will hear and see live. As much as I revere and love this short film, to see Dimash sing this live… really… no words. Thank you and God Bless you and yours Peter. 🌹
Thank you Peter, I appreciate your support for Dimash. As mentioned before the live version from the Almaty concert is as powerful if not more powerful than the MV, but Dimash clearly gets his point across.
The text was written according to Dimash's instructions, the script was written by Dimash himself The necklace is made of a gnomon needle - the oldest astronomical device indicating the azimuth of the sun, it can be considered that it symbolically shows the way to young people Piper - the dictator tempts people with promises and leads them to death, just like the rat-catcher in the fairy tale once led the rats to the sea, and when he did not get paid, he tempted children with music and led them out of the village The burning board with the inscriptionlying on the ground refers to World War II The girl grew up, became Dimash's wife, pregnant, hugging her daughter. At the moment of the attack, the daughter gets lost, looking for a toy and dies. The child is born, but Dimash seeks revenge because he does not know that his wife gave birth. We see visible signs that revenge gives rise to further hatred, it is not positive, because it can lead to meanness. First I will take revenge on you, then someone from your family will take revenge on mine, etc. That's why the pilgrims fight the wind and thunder The ending as I interpret it is that we all end up in one place with a symbolic light because we are equal, however many people prefer to see the adult child Dimash leading others to the light. But that would be a different Piper, so I don't know which version is better.
Hello Mr. Great reaction to this Dimash Masterpiece and I strongly recommend that you watch his live performance at his Almaty concert. Greetings from Italy
Hello Peter! Thank you for your sincere reaction! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony. I’M CHOSING LIFE!! 🙏🙏 See you in your next reaction. Diane, love from Canada 🥰
Thank you for your reaction/analysis of this epic masterpiece by Dimash! Some get confused at the end since the grown up son looks like Dimash. The storyline has Dimash and the girl getting married with one daughter and another child on the way (Dimash’s son). The daughter is killed and Dimash goes after his old friend, not knowing his wife is still alive and giving birth. After Dimash’s death, the son grows to lead people of various religions to a better future where they could show their tolerance for each other’s beliefs without violence. We’re all inhabitants of earth, and hence, we all live under “one sky.” As always, Dimash amazes us with his vocal skills. Thanks for sharing your expertise on Dimash’s abilities! I learned a lot!!!❤️❤️❤️
Please, please watch this live. The Almaty concert version. No distractions from de video, just the voice. Thank you so much and greetings from Portugal.
👏👏👏Great and knowlegeable reaction to this masterpiece!! Thanks so much!!💕💕💕I think you would enjoy watching his live performance of this song at his concert at Almaty! 😊😊😊
More movie details: More details about the film: (1) The two boys competed for the girl's attention; (2) The character (who Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm the friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend; (3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy; (4) The oldest boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general; (5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family; (6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend; (7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life; (8) Dimash's wife is well received by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special; (9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place of tolerance, respect and acceptance.
So glad you did this one. ❤ This is the video with one of his craziest vocals and with the least focus on vocals at the same time. 😅 The focus is on the message. And both the video and audio are works of art in their own right, that convey that message. Truly mesmerizing! And Heartbreaking! 💔 Have you asked any sopranos yet, to analyze one of his songs with you? I‘d so love to see that. 😊 Edit: Great analysis! And lovely words about this message! ❤
I must have watched this masterpiece hundreds of times... The scene that he is crying holding his dead daughter always makes me cry. Thank you for your beautiful reaction as always. Greetings from GREECE 🇬🇷😊
"El Amor En Ti" Dimash-(bass,bariton,tenor,soprano-MJ🕺)spanish. There are several surprises in this performance.😉In order not to spoil your sincere reaction, please do not view it in advance!🙏🙏🙏You'll see, you'll like it. Composer Dimash. Poems by a Spanish poetess! And the song has a very deep meaning!☝️ ruclips.net/video/L7PML9UcKwE/видео.htmlsi=Ni6LxRn053ho2rje
This is by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober: This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. We must find better ways to keep evil in check. iowaculture.gov/.../american-troops-move-through The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and birth are both sacraments and are interwoven in the tapestry of life. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka B
What do you all think of this amazing musical and cinematic achievement from Dimash?
hard to focus on story, voice, visuals, techniques on first, second and third watch
MASTERPIEACE, una pieza maestra. (no se escribir bien ingles perdon))
Powerful. Makes me cry, of course. It's a lot to take in visually, musically, and emotionally. You won't be disappointed.
You really should watch Dimash perform this masterpiece live in his concert in Almaty. Also powerful. Thank you Peter.
100% agree❤💕🇬🇪
part 3, 23:30
I agree. It's incredible.
Agree 100%.

His live version of this is spectacular...!!!!!!
Yes he should watch that one too 🇺🇸❤️🇰🇿
I don't think this singer will find something new vocally there.
‘The Story of One Sky’ - an important fact:
Every 3 years the ‘Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions’ is held in Kazakhstan.
This year, Dimash:
1. Was appointed the ‘United Nations IOM Goodwill Ambassador’
2. Was appointed ‘Goodwill Ambassador for the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions’
3. Performed for twelve Heads of States
4. Met with the Secretary General of the UN
For me, it is so good to know that an artist who advocates so strongly for peace is being heard by these leaders.
There is nothing in the vocalise that is a call to prayer. It may sound like it to non-Muslims, but it's not.
Dimash is music itself clothed in a human body
Oh.., l cried at the concert😢💔
This is truly one of his best. A masterpiece. Enough said. Amazing.
I don't know how people get through this video without tears. Powerful. Timely. Much of Dimash's worldview is right here in this piece. After iI first watched when Dimash released it, my ADHD inability to multitrack made me rerun it four times before I could focus on the actual lyrics.
I can’t. I cry every time!
When this MV was nominated at the London Film Festival, I heard that the organizers made the following comment " NOT SHORT, NOT LONG, JUST EXCELLENT."
Congratulations on choosing this song! Well, some considerations:
(1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
(2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
(3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284).
(4) The term "Imagine" refers to the song of the same name by John Lennon;
(5) The final text is part of the document generated at the 2019 Congress of World Religious Leaders and the music presented at the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on 14/09/2022 and was attended by of Pope Francis, representing the Catholic Church and who presented Dimash, on the occasion, with a medal of gratitude.

Thank you so much Guy for your reaction to Dimash. No word to discribe.
His live in Almaty is insane.
How That's possible ?
Stéphane( from France ) ❤
An absolute masterpiece through-and-through. Might not have a single tangible flaw. With that three-year span, I think he was right to take his time on this project. Because just look at the incredible results. When he explodes with vocal distortion it breaks me. A truly stunning miniature movie. And an amazing masterwork gift to the world.
Don’t need 🤜🤛

It's not only in USA, you know... In France too, and I think it's like rot that is gradually taking over the world... We need more Dimashes. Or Dears, at least. 💖
You probably won’t want to react to it after this but the live performance of this song at the Almaty concert is epic compared to the video. I watched it because I wondered if he could pull it off live. He aced it of course! It’s well worth a watch.
Sul suo canale Almaty concert, part3, minute 25🙏🙏🙏🙏
It is doubtful that he sang it live in Almaty, but the performance is incredibly powerful. One of my favourites
@ pretty sure re it was live. Look at the muscles in his throat. It is also subtly different to the official video.
Thank you so much Peter for this reaction/analysis. Your opinion means a lot to me so I'm happy that you liked it. Hopefully you have got a lot of explanations from others here and I hope that you will sit down and enjoy this masterpiece many times
Looking forward to your next Dimash analysis
Concert:
From minute 23:16 you can still hear what he says before the song. He sang Stranger right before that.

This is my first time watching this music video and I cried damn
His air sounds beautiful !

This is his masterpiece, but its not about the voice, or the music, its about the message!!!
He actually has done low growls in his live performances. Watch vocalise Know Ascolta la voce. One of the many live performances at his concerts of this composition. There are plenty fancams and also the official recording from the Kyiv concert on his channel.
The greatest artist for me.

Mr. Reactor, you have a very amazing voice. Wow!

Thank you for your great reaction ✅
Thank you, Peter, for your professional dive into Dimash's Opus Magnum. It was a pleasure to follow you all the way through.Thank you again❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing this powerful message loved it DIMASH is amazing ❤
The text was written according to Dimash's instructions, the script was written by Dimash himself
The necklace is made of a gnomon needle - the oldest astronomical device indicating the azimuth of the sun, it can be considered that it symbolically shows the way to young people
Piper - the dictator tempts people with promises and leads them to death, just like the rat-catcher in the fairy tale once led the rats to the sea, and when he did not get paid, he tempted children with music and led them out of the village
The burning board with the inscriptionlying on the ground refers to World War II
The girl grew up, became Dimash's wife, pregnant, hugging her daughter. That's why the pilgrims fight the wind and thunder
The ending as I interpret it is that we all end up in one place with a symbolic light because we are equal, however many people prefer to see the adult child Dimash leading others to the light. But that would be a different Piper, so I don't know which version is better.
I agree completely with your version of events, I too thought this about the ending. UKDear 💜
This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it:
This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity.
See you in your next reaction.
Thank you, Linda!

So glad you did this one. ❤
This is the video with one of his craziest vocals and with the least focus on vocals at the same time. 😅
The focus is on the message. And both the video and audio are works of art in their own right, that convey that message.
Truly mesmerizing! And Heartbreaking! 💔
Have you asked any sopranos yet, to analyze one of his songs with you? I‘d so love to see that. 😊

This is by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober:
This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action.
Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.”
Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine.
Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious.
