      I just went to see this live today at Bob Jones University and both the trumpet players (Caleb Hudson and Fábio Brum) went back and forth and sometimes together on the variations. Needless to say, it was pretty epic and entertaining.

    If you want to hear a guy really nail this to the extreme you should hear Knud Hovaldt, just search here on youtube for "Carnival of Venice - Knud Hovaldt"

    Check out Carnival of Venice by Maurice Andre.....He makes this difficult piece sound almost leisurely and unhurried.

    now i know which recording youre talking about. i thought you were speaking about a recording with an orchestra ;)

  • @homfencing
    @homfencing 13 лет назад

    @tschibolli Well, the group playing with Vizzuti in the specific vid I like (I think it was recorded in Hungary) was fairly small (12 people at most), which hardly counts as an orchestra (it was also all brass)

    The Canadian Brass performed the theme music of the weekly CBC news programme, This Week in Parliament, hosted by Bill Casey, which aired in the late 1970s to 1980s. Does anyone recall the name and composer? I'd like to find a recording of it.

    Aweome....but I prefer Allen Vizzuti's version a little better....a tad slower so you can hear the notes more clearly. But in any case, I could never have come near this piece on my best playing day!
