  • Today I build a LEGO Modular Botanical Garden using two sets and some instructions from Rebirkcalble. The original set is really nice, however, it has an open back so it feels incomplete and not eligible to be placed in the LEGO City. This remodel uses a lot of the original design concepts but finishes it off as a modular building! In this video we build the set, take a look at it, and place it in the LEGO city

Give it the breathing space, 8 studs each side, minimum. Paths leading to the doors lined with bushes or flowers. I'd personally take the gazebo out, move the farm and and place the gazebo next to the botanical garden, make more of an outside garden space, rather than having the farm in the middle.

A real botanical garden would have and outdoor garden and then a greenhouse/indoor area so definitely needs some space around the building with a path and more plants.

  • @brickartisan

thank you so much for trying out this MOC. I’m glad you enjoyed the modifications and I look forward to seeing your personal touches to further incorporate it into your city 😊

  • @mrsawiggins

Plus, with the eight studs on either side...you can add small ponds at the bottom of the water falls.

  • @jacobgingerhoffman7816

Really nice build. I would definitely go with the option to have 8 studs on each side for paths and plants.

  • @aliciapozzo9947

if you open the instruction booklet it tells you what the plants are and what they look like in real life.

Have you thought about putting it beside the bonsai tree park!? I feel they would go together great and would be awesome to ride the train past! Plus, as a botanic garden it would be a huge attraction for locals so it would fit well! You could maybe put the building site into the pop culture street and recreate some superhero fight scenes with it too!!!

  • @hecticc316

I think you should put the door in the middle it would look better if they walk through that tunnel

  • @bertfripont1545

Beautiful Building! Thanx for giving this information.

  • @lorena617

one of my favorites of this year release. I need to get a second one and finish it to place it on my city too

  • @robenanne3053

it's always nice to see my Old fishing store in a Lego city layout. Even my self don't have the Old fishing store in my

  • @Metalizer

maybe you've should have mils it on base plate plus half base plate with fixed side walkes on both sides.

  • @cyberi4a

That looks good and doesn't even have a Friends vibe, so it works well. I like the idea of a door in front right off the sidewalk besides having the other doors to enter the gardens from the main building.

  • @NolanCorboy

The boatanical garden looks so good. I love the detail and how you finished the dome.

  • @Cheese-eseehc1

Que the music : does it come with a Lego frog?

  • @ThePhantomFanatic

For now the 8 studs on each side is a good start. I would LOVE to see it as a real botanical garden with more room and outside gardens because just as is its really just a greenhouse but with what room allows 8 studs on either side it the way to go

  • @TheRealmfc90125

Agree with you on making a door for the front and windowing off the sides. Maybe add a parking lot on one side?

  • @pmh3147

love this so much! in terms of placement, you could raise the whole building by 3 plates' height - or even more! - and build a sloped walk way on either side with landscaping and shrubbery that can help the whole building integrate into the surroundings and give it prominence that the fantastic dome so naturally commands and deserves (this may mean setting it recessed by a few studs from the pavement, which would give you room for more plants and stuff)

  • @GTLeisure

Wondering if you saw the other x2 modifications of the set. Some of them look better and have the sidewalk.

  • @TheRogue475

Just a thought, but since you've cannibalized a lot of your ship in a bottle, you could finish the job and turn the ship into a playground for a minifig kids
