Hunting Horn mains are EATING this game. They added tons of new stuff to the weapon you probably didn't notice but this version is basically a mix of World + Rise + GU. The base moveset is very similar to World's but is significantly faster since the end-lag that made the weapon slow have been basically dumbed down/removed. The moves are the same speed but you can act way sooner out of them, giving you quicker access to notes and combos. The Echo Bubbles are also massive now, they were like a small little circle before but now they're a full-on AOE attack lmao. Doing recital inside of them also seems to do the Wirebug attack Bead Reasonance from rise where it would do sound shockwave attacks whenever you did a move but the damage is waaaaaay higher this time around. That attack where the Hunter slammed the head of the Horn into the Monster's head and did a solo is also another Wirebug move from Rise called the Earthshaker (and its the Horns Focus Strike attack). Was huge in frame commitment but the damage was massive, seems to be even stronger since it's a multi-hit. I have a little theory that using that using the focus strike attack on a monster below an Echo Bubble will cause it to attack just like a recital but unsure, hoping it does. God I need this game NOW lol.
Wow theres levels to using this weapon lol. i didn’t know much about the hunting horn and was always intrigued bc whenever a good hunting horn main came in, the buffs we got made things a shit ton easier and they would be kicking ass with it. I definitely want to try it and learn properly when this drops game drops lol
