Force Feedback in MAME! FFB Arcade Plugin Test

- This is a test of a new program called "FFB Arcade Plugin" which is designed to add force feedback to some arcade games. It is fairly new and only a few games work so far in MAME. Luckily, San Francisco Rush The Rock Alcatraz Edition is among them which is one of my favorites. For more information and to download this, take this link to the thread at ArcadeControls.com:

Thank you for posting this so much! I own a Rush the Rock Alcatraz cab that I picked up mostly as just the shell. I put a PC monitor and some PC peripherals in it so I could play forza on my PC. I can't wait to try this game out in the cab!!

Its beem a long time since i dont see you, that seems to be an interesting option to make these racing games feel a little more like to the real cabinets.

@@BiggestDoucheEver When it comes to MAME, I am all about the Cruis'n Series (USA World & Exotica) and the NFL Blitz series (Blitz 99 & 2000 Gold Edition).
@@kingbawesome NFL Blitz is the best sport game in arcade. There a cabinet in my local Arcade Bar. Im undefeated right now 6-0

What wheel sensitivity do you use?
I didn't change anything. Make sure you have no deadzone in MAME.
This looks good rush best racer ever to b able to play on mame and have it seem so close to cab is great
I just installed this and find my wheel, if I'm not holding it, tends to eventually jerk to the far left.

It just had 32 bit and 64 bit for MAME. It wasn't the initial download with all the other games.
The part i'm confused is: In the zip file it has multiple folders for games like Mario Kart Arcade GP and stuff like that
Then you have the wrong zip. Get the one called MAME 0199 FFB update 1.

Hello Friend! I need help to enable FFB through Plugin. I had no problems with MAME, Teknoparrot, Sega Model 2, but I've done everything and I can't get it to work on Sega Model 3 (Supermodel). If not, can you please make a tutorial? I will be grateful. Thanks!
I've never used it on Supermodel but I know the RRB used to work without this program on Scud Race.
@@DarthMarino The Supermodel has native FFB but it is very strong and there is no way to regulate it.
HEY do i gotta do this process for each game or just for each Emulator ?? Like lets say i wanted cruisin world , would i have to do this same process for cruisin world or just for the emulator that its on ? and what if i have hypersin ?
I've only done it on MAME and it was just once for that whole program. I haven't tried any other games.
Do you have an option to change the resolution of 3d games like Rush in mame? Your graphics seems better than mine.
Some games have a dip switch that you can change. I don't believe this is one and usually they default on the higher res version. My guess is that you are playing with bilinear filtering on which is how MAME defaults. I always turn that off.
Unless you are talking about the colors. The game is kind of dull looking but I changed some of the slides to make the colors and contrast pop a little more.

Hi! can you help me? I've got a Mame 0.220 and a FFB 2.1....i've set my guid number of my g29 but i can't have the feedback when playing on Rush....what could be wrong? some settings or what?

@@xlegx I am suggesting going there for help. I'm no expert on it. Everything I know about this program is in these videos. I barely use it.

You ran the game and it created the log.txt file? If it's not there, then I'm not sure. It would be best to post on the BYOAC forum where the author can help you.
I tried on Daytona usa, added the ffb plugin, run the game, close game but i cant see any files
@@ivanperez8200 You are trying to run Daytona through MAME? You should run that game through the Model 2 emulator which has FFB already.
DarthMarino running it throw Model 2. There is not options at all on model 2 for force feedback, just for supermodel. How do you do it?
@@ivanperez8200 It's in the emulator.ini file. I remember them not being very pronounced in Daytona but are more noticeable in Sega Rally.
