    Hi mate awesome video, im thinking of doing something like this i have a logitech gt steeing wheel so i'll prob mount that and use the usb to pc .My question is how did you you mount your steering wheel to this cab. I have no clue about manual stuff any help would be great..!

    • @chubbyboy2242
      @chubbyboy2242  6 лет назад

      Thank you sir. My wheel is actually from a real arcade machine, I built my machine and basically just copied the mounting system from the arcade machine onto my cabinet... If you are going to use a Logitech wheel you would want to want to attach it securely to the cab. Probably with screws, there are sometimes threaded screw holes in the bottom of the wheel housing. Or at the very least clamp it on securely and then probably create a trim plate around it to make it look like a dashboard.

    Do you have force feedback? I’m just getting into the emulated stuff. I have a Cruis’n USA arcade and I wanted to emulate USA, exotica, and world. I have read about not being able to have force feedback. I didn’t know if that was a thing bc most don’t have an actual arcade setup, or if it just wasn’t doable with emulation.

    How did you get the buttons on the wheel and how did you get them to slide into the happ control panel? This looks really sweet. I did the happ/Logitech/servo amp hack and it works great for pc only. I’m also using launchbox.

    • @chubbyboy2242
      @chubbyboy2242  6 лет назад

      The wheel is made of a heavy rubber with a metal frame. I just drilled into the rubber with a drill bit slightly smaller than the button size so they would fit snugly. And then drilled a small hole through the metal frame to get the wires through. Not sure what you mean by slide them into the control panel? But I drilled a hole through the metal piece that the wheel attaches to and snaked the wires through and into the cabinet...

      I been trying to build a sit down arcade for a while but I do not like the steering wheel that comes with the Xbox 360.. I would rather have like one that came from an actually arcade machine but no clue where to start.

    • @chubbyboy2242

      First thing I would do is read this...
      forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,105961.0.html
      And maybe join the forum if you haven't already.
      There are a few ways to do it, the way I did it was by hacking an xbox 360 controller to work as a wheel. This will require some knowledge of soldering... The next way would be to use a computer interface such as an APAC to hook the arcade controls to the pc. And the 3rd probably easiest way would be to buy a good racing wheel like a logitech g27 or g29 and then make a dashboard around it and build that into a driving machine. A good head start is if you find a busted driving arcade on craigslist or something like that and start there, that way you don't have to build the cabinet... Cant really go into great detail here but join the forum and start posting if you have questions...
