Have a wonderful time on the big island, if you have a chance we did an overall guide to visiting the big island. This might help if you are looking to explore more of the island. ruclips.net/video/RfE4oZ0YXWg/видео.html
My first and only Visit to Naniloa was in summer of 2014...back then the hotel was in VERY rough shape with the smaller tower to the left of the lobby completely abandonned with shattered glass windows and cracked paint falling of the side, the restaurant behind the pool tower was also abandonned along with the gift shop and conference room located in the still functional part of the hotel. I've never been to such a place in my life anywhere in the U.S...felt surreal . Glad to see it's been repaired though
Hello, have they updated this hotel since you posted this? Also, are there any accessible rooms and parking? You mentioned parking is free but it's across the street. Valet is a fee but is there a fee for handicapped parking or a discounted rate? I am going to this hotel but wanted to look at it first. I have a special needs young adult daughter. Great informative video.
I just stayed there one night ago. There is no room service, no food in the refrigerator, the vending machines didn’t work. My wifi didn’t work. I guess it just wasn’t a good day to be there.
Ive worked for both Marriott and Hilton properties and I've never seen a hotel at this level that has food for sale in the fridge. Maybe that's something that luxury Hilton brands do(LXR, Hilton, Waldorf, etc). But Double Trees don't.
Just made reservations for October! Thanks for great review

Oh I'm sorry, yes it seems that they need to work on updating the hotel. Hilton needs to spend some money in some upgrades for sure.
