I should have gone into the business of selling alcohol
My favorite restaurant has taps at your table! It’s priced like how gas is sold, however much you dispense is what you pay for. I love it.
Wouldnt work in england that...we would end up drinking it straight from the tap and then doing a runner before the bill arrived, I think that's why all you can eat buffets go out of business so quick here! 😆👍
@@northernguerrilla3168 I’ve often said that buffets are just theme parks for obese people. Pay to get in, and you fill your face with as much food as possible. My dad looks like he’s at Disney World at a buffet.
@@D71219ONE it was a thing when in my teens to go to the all you can eat chinese and then do a runner out the fire exit without paying, Ive even had dates where I've had me and the girl running away from a gang of angry chinese waiters, used to do it at pizza hut too.....I was young though so dont judge me but your right also, I bet greedy people are more to blame than kids running off and not paying.
That’s the best idea I’ve ever heard.
@@ayronwhite4309 haha it’s awesome. I go every single Friday after work, either with friends or alone cause I love it so much
I have to say, this is one of the most well thought-out products I have seen. To not even mention its efficiency, advertising on the magnet AND acting as a souvenir. This even encourages consuming the whole amount to get the end reward. Just top notch.
Very good for children too!
@@MrHastygamer yes so the kids have something to look at while drinking the beer
@@fortomorrowwehunt8449 yeah, they need to make them in baby bottle format too
I worked at a bar that two of these with four taps each. Efficiency about 78-82 percent yield on a normal tap. With bottoms up it’s about 95-96 percent. More pours faster!
Me being a jerk: *sticks finger in the bottom of my buddy's cup to empty his beer all over his lap* 😂😂😂
Now it's even easier to make someone spill on their shoes... Just walk up to them and press that disk upwards and ta-da!
as long as your finger is a magnet, sure
@@mdamon06 that's not how magnets work bud.
Many a man has recieved a broken nose and orbital bone since.
@@wolfmatic399 the disks are essentially maglocked. You can not force it up they act like security tags on clothing, the only way to actually open one is with a magnet from what I've read.
@@LawfullSpook No, they aren't. You can easily open it. Did you miss the part about people keeping the magnets as souvenirs?
They have one at the bowling alley by my house. Gotta say perfect pour everytime And it actually aerates the whole beer. hats off to ya bud.
Cheers!
I know this is just 1 minute but the way this dude talks made me think I watched a mini documentary on these things.
This may be one of the most innovative disruptive ideas i've ever seen.
I'm angry i didn't think of it. Well done.
Thank you!
Can also be modified.. That was just a off the top of my bomd ass brain lol.. Ive kinda been killing ir
Only thing thing this disrupts is a good time, gimmick that wont take off
“Disruptive”? This is a (likely costly) gimmick that saves less than ten seconds. Hardly “disruptive”
mr sir haha absolutely. Have fun buying proprietary pint glasses until you inevitably decide the hassle is not worth the novelty.
Some stoner somewhere before - “What if you could pour a beer, THROUGH THE BOTTOM”
I’m disappointed the answer wasn’t just M A G I C but it’s great to see that POGS have upgraded and are making a comeback. Well played POGS, well played...
This means we need to start taking or old slammers to the bar, and getting to work.
Pogs were the shit in the 90s.
Have seen this in the wild. It's actually really cool. Aside from being neat, it's a really good way to take the skill out of filling beer glasses, as it gently coming in from the bottom means no hard-pour head. Really cool system.
Thank you for the kind words!

I KNEW IT
SOMEBODY IS GOING TO DO THIS
Seems good for cheap lager at festivals/sports events etc. but I wouldn't want this down my local pub.
It can be cheap but overpriced
simonisable Most beer is supposed to be poured straight down the glass for a huge foam. It helps develop its flavour as well as reduce gassiness afterwards.
simonisable Yeah, you’re right. If you’re drinking to get drunk and don’t care much about flavour, these will definitely suffice.
simonisable These systems are actually loved in the Restaurant/Bar business, the biggest down fall is their cups. As my family built our restaurant/bar we looked into this system, the system it’s self wasn’t much but to buy every cup made for this was not worth the extra time, where one of our good bar tenders can do the same thing as the machine.
@Have-a- Cigar Whats to stop someone from banging the top of your beer bottle and causing it to explode everywhere?
I spent years on dispense development, this is a wonderful innovative advance. Well done !
The only thing cooler than this system is how every single person grabbed the glasses from the very top, right where my mouth would go
Have seen these cups at a couple of festivals. Once you get the hang of it you can chug from the bottom by pushing the magnet up with your tongue. Kinda cool trick to impress your buddies with, but the really cool part is when you challenge other people to do it.
0:56 I thought that was actually a watch at first.
😂🤣😂
Greatest video of all time. It's about beer and it's 1 minute long also it teaches you something about it. Gods' work.
Hell yes it is!
The epitome of beer dispensing invention. Great product. Will love to see more of this on pubs / bars.
This is the kind of innovation we need. This deserves the noble price.
Our local ballpark had this system for dollar draft beer night. I would accidentally push the magnet on the bottom of the cup at least twice during the game spilling the entire beer all over the ground. Made for shorter waits in line though!
We’ve been pouring pints and beer the same way for a thousand years, beer is something so pure that I’m a traditionalist when it comes to it.
Why didn't you make this comment with a carrier pigeon? :)
This feels like something I'd either see on Shark Tank or 3 a.m. Food Network.
I thought I saw this on shark tank but I may be mistaken. This is seriously familiar.
I thought of this when I was kid. Looks like an elegant solution to bottom filled cups. And they've added more value than just saving time
Yes! ❤️
I was at a bar the other day that had this and my friend and I were discussing how we thought it worked. Now this is in my recommended. Damn you, FBI agent.
This was in my recommended, I dont drink beer, or talk about beer, just a crazy algorithm
As someone that's seen all of Bar Rescue, I know this helps a lot of people if they have it setup
I remember trying one of these at a Minor League ball game 2013 or 14. The magnet on the beer I ordered somehow became misaligned during the intital fill and beer went spurting everywhere. 2nd try it worked fine. Still have the magnet on the fridge to this day!
This is genius. It eliminates waste from over pour and foaming the beer at the top. Nice
Thank you for the nice comment! :) Not enough of those in the world.
A few years ago my hometown bar was one of the first in the state to get one of these systems. It was cool to see and I wondered how it worked.
Don’t know why this popped up in my feed today, but I’m glad it did.
Had a thought for a fun new game which in time will replace the throwing pennies or nuts into your friends pint.
When your friend takes a sip of their beer, give their magnet a little prod as they lift the glass to their mouth so they get covered in beer. Endless fun.
BEST. COMMENT. EVER.
I drank at a bar last friday that had this. After like 3 beers it's the coolest thing in the world
Uploaded four years ago-RUclips algorithm-based on what you watched we recommend this
this is cool stuff. If it was a popup ad I still probably wouldn't watch this but on its own its interesting.
Not a big beer drinker but, as an engineering student, this is really cool and ingenious.
Minor league ball park in my city has this. Magnets are coupons for good restaurant. When game is over, walk through the seats and collect the coupons that people left behind. Win!
The RUclips algorithm is getting bold with its recommendations
God I don't know what I would do without that souvenir magnet
This is genius, i owe the guy who made it a beer
He will take you up on that!
I don’t drink 🚱 🍺
But I’ve been transported here

"drastically increases". right.
do you even know how much beer gets lost when using a normal tap?
Ewout, how many of these will be stolen? I can't imagine they are cheap.
fair enough
Said someone who has clearly never worked on a bar before 😂
What would you do with them though? They only work with the pattented beer filler anyway.
I FINALLY FOUND A PLACE THAT HAS THIS!!! I geeked out and had to find this video
Heck yeah! :) Where we’re you?
What a great system, always wondered how it worked and now I do! Thanks :) I can definitely see how this is beneficial in bars or festivals with a lot of traffic and I think its better for the workers as well, definitely think they will be less tired after a long shift with this system compared to the 'old outdated one' :)
Had this at Nashville Oktoberfest, it's a neat system for a perfect pour and I was glad to have the magnets as a souvenir
These things suck. Customers get curious about the magnet on the bottom and poke it slightly and instantly they’re COVERED in beer. Idgaf about them getting covered in beer. I do however care that me or one of my employees then has to clean up the mess, and usually give the patron another cup.
They don't suck tho do they. They're not made for retards who poke things cuz they have nothing else to do. And if you don't want it DON'T BUY IT
put a sign up saying "Do not touch your beer magnets! They attract only a mess"
Here’s some food for thought. Have you ever approached double doors and pull on one handle only to find out it’s locked, then look up at the door and notice there’s a sign saying “Please use other door”? People tend to ignore signs hung up in establishments until afterwards. I’m commenting because I already purchased this, so you saying “don’t buy it” is pointless.
@@BlackMountainCycles still, saying they suck is harsh. It's good innovation that several people enjoy
Michael Stone Look bud I own my own business and I spent A LOT of money on this with the understanding it would help save time and costs. It hasn’t done either of those things. Actually quite the contrary. So I’m sorry if you don’t approve of my choice of words but I stand by my statement. Please feel free to start your own establishment and put this in it. I welcome your opinion after that. Have a great day.
For those who like to play with the bottom of your cup - DON'T!
My work place has this system at the bar, and eventually we literally did put up signs that say "don't finger your cup hole"
I’m so thankful for this! I went to a pizza place and they did this I swore I thought I was crazy seeing them fill the glass from the bottom.
Really forgot and got curious again 😂
"Excessive foam" it is called Blume and is required for the perfect drafted Pilsener.
Found the chad. Proost!

This guy came up with a fantastic business idea!
What about cross contamination when refilling pints?
It's against health code to refill glasses, but It is way more sanitary than having the faucet touch where someone's mouth has been. Also, everything pushes up and away as its filling. There is no risk of getting backwash into the filler. Also, Also, all of our equipment is NSF certified.
Bottoms Up so your machine is beaten handily by a pitcher. got it.
You having a bad day? Need a hug maybe?
Bottoms Up you are awesome😂
anton eckart don't like it, don't buy it. It's as simple as you are.
I always assumed it was a spring-loaded valve at the bottom. But the magnet makes more sense because of the customization, as they mention in the video, plus it probably makes it a lot easier to clean.
This is great so long as you always use a clean glass. Otherwise, whatever the glass was sitting on is going right into the next person's drink...
That's why the cups are disposable. I don't think they are intended to be used multiple times.
@@NemoNemuNeme yes that is great for reducing the amount of waste we produce
@@NemoNemuNeme the first cups they showed were glass
I’ve seen these in bar makeover or whatever that show was, and a ton of tiktok videos and always wondered how it worked. Thanks for explaining it!

An Ale house in the town I live in had one of these installed. It a quite nice. My one complaint is that you can't pour beers into their appropriate glasses with this system. I like my stouts in a snifter not an Ale glass.

This badass foreal never thought they had this until I went to a bar lol... I thought I was trippen for a moment but now I see how they do it now
At over 30 cents per disposable cup, I would think you'd lose less money pouring off a little foam.
Beer spillage is tax deductible where i live.
I don't drink beer often, but I really want this.
Just watched a video about this being used at Disney's California Adventure Marvel Campus and I was wondering how it worked.
Oh yeah this is going to revolutionize the industry!
Heck yes it is!
Foam is good it doesn’t bloat u up if decarbonate it
In the 70s, my mom worked at a Chinese restaurant. If ANY staff touched the top 1/2 of any glass they were fired. WHY does the staff still touch the rim of my glass? Keep your fingers off my RIM.
stop touching the brim of my glass! thats all I ask. this almost always encourages servers to grab the drink from the brim....

This way of pouring drink into a glass brings a whole new meaning to saying " Bottoms Up " lol
This is the first time I've heard of & seen these Bottoms Up Dispensers & how they work & its a cool invention..
If you work , or worked , in a bar/pub/or nightclub bar & these are now in place then now there's no reason for the Bar Manager to give any or all of the bar staff grief at the end of the shift for drinks that were poured but , for whatever reason , too much slops wastage was left over at the end of the shift & that added up to too many pints worth of alcohol going to waste in their eyes , but not now with these " Bottoms Up Dispensers "
In light of this still ongoing coronavirus & its variants stay safe & healthy wherever you are in this world...
.....
i didn't know this was a thing, that's sick
What a time to be alive
But how do magnets work?
Why isn’t this everywhere ? I’d love this.
Because every single person would end up “testing” their glasses and spilling their drink everywhere at least once 😂

I don't own a bar, but I'm digging the pitch
Company head: "we need a way to make more waste going to landfill while pouring a beer... Any ideas?"
Marketing dept: "Hey, we could put magnetic discs in the bottom that will eventually end up in the bin due to health and safety legislation stipulating they are only for one use!"
Company head "genius!"
No one cares obviously
Glass seems like the best bet for use until we come up with better uses for recycling used plastics. The plastic pitchers would be the best bet in my opinion if you absolutely had to use plastic. All in all a wonderful new system.
I know a place that has this system and the cost of production of everything from top to bottom can get VERY PRICY!!
Don't you mean....from bottom to top
This is cool as hell, but there's something I love about those tap handles, especially if you have really old ones

T1000 yea same for me
Yeah just like most spurs players, getting fed in the bottom 🤣
What? I'm just thinking how's the thing work.. now it's on my recommendation 😯
hmm
1. how easy is it for drinkers to accidentally dislodge the magnet?
2. you've made the bartender's craft redundant
Antonio, You have to purposely poke it. We make a bartenders life much easier. It's our opinion that the craft of bartending is in making cocktails not in fighting a foamy beer faucet. :)
but I enjoy watching them struggle to keep the head down
lol
Antonio Same as me with your old lady.
a bartender that cant pour beer without struggling with the foam can only be found in america
Excited to try these.
1 question I have is: if you use the same cup over and over, couldn't it be less hygenic than a top-down pour? Ex: you have some bufallo chicken dip and a big backwashing problem. Bottom of your glass has some saucy goo. You refill your glass on the tap, saucy goo swirls around and compromises the sterility of the tap? Next person to use tap can taste some buffalo goo?
If a new cup per pour is enforced that wouldn't be a problem. But knowing some bars, and some behaviors of drinkers...
The bottoms of the cups are always wet though
This is a fantastic idea for sporting events. I've seen it used at most nba games I've been to.
only thing I wonder about is what is involved with keeping the nozzle clean between fills since a little leaks out when you lift the glass up?
It drains clear like a faucet (hard to see that part in the video) and at the end of the night they are removed and cleaned (unlike a faucet). All of our equipment is also NSF certified. :)
The first time it was shown properly. 👍🏻
