It's a cool idea, but the "IMI TRV Insert Removal Tool" can only be used on a TRV valve body that has an insert with a 19mm hexagonal nut/shoulder, such as IMI, Altecnic, and Honeywell Valencia. Would be good if they could make adapters so it works with other valves too. Probably more beneficial to commercial workers who know which type of valves are used in the buildings they manage.
I see that tool on a Honeywell training course back in 2008. I remember them being expensive at the time. I think it only did Honeywell valves and one other brand. Possibly Drayton. Other than that it’s a drain down or snatch job.
It's a Herz trv head removal tool. I work in a hospital and was shown this a while ago. They specific to the make of trv. It's not a one tool does everything job.
Not sure that special tool is so necessary as this guy took out a TRV core without draining a pressurised system and used no special tools ruclips.net/video/h8dDmn-bzFs/видео.html Not sure where to even buy TRV cores so this must be a specialist tool for specific TRV installations not run of the mill domestic installations.
Nice one , but i dont think it would fit cheaper domestic valves as it looks manufacturer specific for the expensive commercial valves..... Cheers mate.....
Okay if you have the extractor, shut of tool. The angle of view would have been better, from the right, surely, because too much obscurity ... Especially from a first timer ...
to many different valve sizes out their, imperial and metric, plus more money in drain down when your on hourly rate. fine if valves are all honeywell which there not. If it doesnt work your stuffed
if you have a site with a hundred rads all with the same type of trv it's worth forking out for the tool for that size and leaving it on site with a few spare cores.
Great tool 🔧 thanks for uploading Allen. What's the tools kit name .... 🤔
What happened to the water in the unit when you removed it? Surly the cavity of the device is full of water?
What kind of sorcery is this, He’s a witch I tell you a witch 🤣🤣
The dark side is strong in me...🤣
Link to this please
it's well and good if you have the extractor tools to do the job ??
Seen that before but forgotten what's it's called. I now want one 😂
Seen them before. Would be nice if adaptors were available for different makes of trv. Thanks again, for posting.
Thanks for watching!

Magic maybe you could do a video on how that gadget works.👍
Shame they dont do all valve types. If it did, it would be an absolute game changer. Cracking bit of kit though
Interesting. Surely not all makes and models are interchangeable, or are they?
