Congrats! I literally laughed out loud at the end! 🤣 also I'm pregnant with my 2nd. This pregnancy I've been vegan the whole time but with my first baby I turned vegan 3 months before I gave birth so I totally agree with your theory that when you're use to eating veggies and fruits more it's easier to eat while pregnant. My first pregnancy I ate so much junk food and greasy bad meats and dairy. Felt horrible the whole time. This pregnancy has been a walk in the park compared to last pregnancy and so easy to stay away from the junk!
Everything looked so delicious. Something I try to do, especially in the summertime, is keep a bowl in the sink to catch water. Washing produce, heating up the water, and just rinsing my hands makes so much water that is perfectly fine, so I water my plants/ garden with it! I will fill a bucket up every single day and then dump it. If I’m canning, I use even more. Watching you wash your produce made me think of it. We all go through SO much water, so I figured, why not try to conserve a bit of it?

I TOTALLY agree with your healthy food/junk food theory. When I was pregnant with my first, all I could stomach was fast food but I always ate whatever I felt like before that. This time around, a few years later, I eat a whole food/plant based diet and even though I have severe morning sickness again, I still prefer the healthier foods for the most part. I find it much easier to ignore the unhealthy food cravings out of habit. That surprised me a lot this pregnancy because I was an uncontrolled vacuum with my first even with HG.

The skin of kiwis have a lot of vitamins! If you don't like the skin of green kiwis, golden kiwis are less fuzzy and easier to eat starting out 🙂. Congratulations on your pregnancy

At an appropriate age, we will start discussing veganism and why I follow it, and then they can make their own choices (but when mom's cooking, it's gonna be vegan).
My favorite homemade salade dressing is - nut butter (I prefer almond) vinegar, water, maple syrup! :) super simple and easy to mix and add onto any salade or wrap
Once again nut butter is made in my hometown and it makes me so happy to see!! It’s made in a tiny town and the factory supports basically the entire town. Love love love!!
Just a tip honey. Make double batch cooking meals and put lots of meals into the freezer ready for after your beautiful baby arrives. We didn’t and lived off of toast and ready meals. Not good at all xxx big hugs 🤗💖💖💖
All I craved while pregnant was fresh fruit and veggies. All day everyday. It’s the only thing I could keep down... Well... If I’m being 100% honest... I only craved, and kept down Fresh fruit, veggies, and.... Boat loads of ice cream 🤣🤣🤣 I’m going to try to do my next pregnancy 100% vegan. It should be easy because it’s all I crave anyway. I did also crave Coca-Cola? Not sure why, but I’ve since discovered my allergy to caffeine, so we will see how I navigate that.
Rachelle Kates Same with me, all I wanted was watery produce like watermelon and lettuce. I had an upset stomach and couldn’t even handle pizza or pasta, didn’t want anything hot either. I was basically like a raw vegan during all of my pregnancies.
As for me, I didn’t really have pregnancy cravings. I had them while breast feeding. Boy could I eat! The men were impressed. I still lost a lot of weight despite the eating around the clock 😅

Yep, to me, salad dressing is not necessary. With beans and avocado, tomatoes..... I just don’t need or even want dressing. That chili on top of the potatoes looks delicious! I often add crumbles to my chili, and my spaghetti 😊, or I crumble up these lentil patties I make. My husband, who does eat meats occasionally ( chicken) loves these lentil patties and always takes them to work for his lunch.
Congrats! 🥳 We decided not to find out and it's much harder than expected 🙈 we'll know within the next 2.5 months! And I've been craving all the fruit. Cantaloupe, watermelon, berries, grapes, bananas 🤤 I'm lucky that all my food aversions went away the day I entered the second trimester!

Even easier way to soak cashews: just boil them for 15-20 minutes and they get all puffy and fork tender! So you can blend them easily :)
Or you can just get a vitamix and you don’t even have to soak them
