Literally just ordered the S20 FE like an hour ago. The plastic back just adds to the durability to me. I'm a dog groomer so water resistance and decent cameras along with the overall durability are more important to me than looks or updates. Jerry Rig Everything uses like a Note 10 so I think this was a nice choice lol.

I got this phone in July 2021 off eBay, so coming up on 3 years of having it. still snappy enough and all, battery is good if you are conscious about when you charge it, for how long, and limit to 85% in settings. I installed accubattery when I got the phone so it's had all this time to gather statistics. Estimates my capacity still around 82 or 83% design capacity, and it was somewhere in the low 90% range when I got it. I'd say for basic use, and with how cheap it is now, definitely worth it used to get through a couple years. Still gonna hang onto mine into 2025 I think, no reason for me to switch yet and that's a huge pain in the ass to move data. Also it's getting harder to find good phones with SD slots still... I've accepted no headphone jack but I'm adamant about getting an SD slot on a phone.

@@thegrimreaper7709 I shopped around on Amazon and got a 30 watt wireless charger for my Samsung S20FE. It still takes quite a bit of time to charge with the round wireless charger, but I use that mostly overnight while I am sleeping and it's fully charged by the time I get up the next morning. So it works for me. However, during the daytime or while I am up and about and the phone may need charging, I just charge it by the USB-C cord and plug that into a decent phone USB port and it charges faster. I'd look on Amazon, Ebay or similar online shopping site for a good wireless charger. Im only upgrading because it's now run out of Android support. It has otherwise been absolutely perfect. Id say it's obviously not the best phone for taking photos, but still okay for normal users. I can see this phone lasting another two years easily before it's really time to upgrade.

  • @vesselinkrastev

I've been using it since December 2020. It is the best experience I've had with a smartphone and intend to go with a Samsung again when I eventually upgrade which is also a first for me. The only reason I'm even thinking of upgrading is because it will stop getting security updates at the end of the year. Otherwise, it still does everything I need it to do well enough. I was a bit annoyed by the proprietary apps Samsung is trying to push on you at first, but I got used to it. There's a lot of neat features tucked away in the UI which make stock android seem a bit bare bones in comparison. It's like the swiss army knife I like to carry around - most tools I don't use veryday, but I sure am glad they're there when I need them. Bugs have popped up every now and again, but Samsung was reasonably quick about fixing them with updates. Having both an ultrawide and a telephoto is great for versatility. I've owned metal phones in the past, but not glass ones. From my perspective the plastic back is fine. The main advantage is that it makes an already big and heavy phone a little bit lighter. Yeah, overall I've enjoyed this device a lot and I'll be keeping it for another 6 months at least... but buying a 4-year-old phone which is about to stop receiving updates is probably not very wise.

Got an S20 FE and my only gripe is the lack of optimisation for social media apps. iPhones let you take full advantage of their Ultrawide, telephotos in tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, and Samsung fail to follow suit. I know they have a far wider range of devices they would have to optimise for but things like this are the reason apple will always be one step ahead. No matter how many improvements they make, they COULD make their devices as consistent as Apple's but choose not to. Next phone is definitely going to be iPhone and I'll probably stick that way until they sort it out.

    Honest review here.
I wouldn't recommend it. I have it since 2021 and the problems are:
    - Battery 3-4,5h SOT since i bought, never improved (4G Snapdragon, did factory reset etc)
    - Proximity sensor not working since day 1, cant make a call without disconnect it with my ears
    - Touch screen faulty, but it happens sometimes only, not every day: when typing on keyboard, it stuck and write letters itself for 2-3 seconds. Not a software issue but hardware. Sometimes screen wont respond to touch.
    - Camera lags like hell, nothing will solve the problem. Even factory reset worth nothing.
    - Switching apps painful, stutter and lags.
Beside these problems it works great and fast. But all these little annoying things makes the phone a bad one for me. I still using it because not as bad as is should replace it but absulutely not a phone i would can recommend in 2024.

Missing n77 support on this phone. So, there is no midband support on att or verizon. Would not recommend this phone for verizon or att customers.

Okay so from what I know you can pick up a pre owned s20 fe for a pretty good price(quite lower than the 55), I would opt for the fe considering the price difference and at the same time I'd be getting a flagship experience
