Now with Improved audio. IT IS BELIEVED THAT NO COMMERCIAL RECORDING EXISTS OF THIS PERFORMANCE FROM 1967.
Originally recorded with EMI double play tape on a Collaro Studio mono half track valve recorder at 7 1/2 ips. Edited in 2005 with Cool Edit Pro. Apologies for the variable low frequency rumble, in parts. The valve FM tuner was an RTS kit built unit.
The performance was held at the (then) Home of the Halle Orchestra at Manchester Free Trade Hall. Apparently with an Invited Audience - hence the absence of public coughing.
It is ex Third Programme/Radio Three.
