The length was just about right given all the facets you covered and comparing the 2 models. Glad you didn't short the parts dealing with actual use and your take on what you found. Thanks. 👍😎
Thank you :)
Great video! Looking forward to seeing if you incorporate one into HA, and how that works out.
Thank you, one of those is in the plan for a little way down the line
I'm trying to understand if E1 camera can be accessible from a web browser over internet, outside the local network.
Good vids. I've been trying to decide between the Reolink E1 Pro, TP-Link C200, and Eufy. I knocked Eufy off the list.
Does the desktop app work on the local network (ie: NOT over the internet)?
Are you saying none of the cloud services are available in the UK or just the upgraded pay for services?
Thanks for this video bro
My pleasure
Hey Will, have you done a comparison of E1 vs Wyze 2? I couldn't find it on youtube. My main sticking point is the free cloud storage and if it's useful or not.
I have the Wyze Cam and the 12-second clip and 5 minutes cooldown make this camera totally useless for me.
Does Neolink's free cloud storage have the 12-second clip and the 5 minutes cooldown as well? I couldn't find anything on their website.
I am looking to post these cameras on the front door to see who is coming in and out of the apt.
I haven't compared it with the wyze as I cant get hold of them in the UK
I can't see anything about a cooldown period, but recording time depends on the camera and the quality - support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000641926-A-Brief-Introduction-about-Reolink-Cloud-Plan
Nice video! Also, thanks for the code! Saved me about $16!
Glad I could help!
The lenght is perfect!
hi are there any bookmark features on these cameras for pre-set postions?
No, presets aren't a feature of these cameras
Hi, the pro E1 has the FTP, the normal one not. What is the differences when you use the service? What are the limits? Only zoon? Or other services? Thanks.
The E1 Zoom has the zoom function, FTP, and RTSP/ONVIF support, the Zoom is also 5MP rather than the 3MP on the normal E1. The E1 doesn't have the FTP or RTSP/ONVIF - other than that they are the same camera
@@WillSurridgeTech
Is E1 works with NVR?
@@happysmile9225 Only with a reolink one
Well done :)
Glad you like it :)
reolink e1 zoom dose it support SD CARD. HOW MANY GB MAXIMUM
up to 64gb
I got the e1 it kept on saying it couldn't connect to Wi-Fi but I think it was trying to connect to reolink. Not a bad camera for the price but like you say it has missing features of the other one
Not sure why that would be, could you still use the camera through the app locally?
@@WillSurridgeTech no it said it couldn't connect to wi-fi but I think it was trying to do something else
ah okay
Thank you! answered my questions.
No problem!
Night vision review?
Hi FYI your promo code doesn't work :(
It's working fine for me... ytb5will
If it still doesn't work, I'd contact reolink directly and they should be able to help
Yeh promo code is only for their website, I don't have one for amazon I'm afraid
Were you allowed to use the scissors by your mother?
Will not hook up to my phone or PC and the speaker is so loud my ears hurt. I hate shi----t that don't work and no customer support number.

With your setup, why not run pi zero w's with pi cameras over MotionEye, there must be compatible libraries for HA. then you could backup too a main hard-drive? would be a much cheaper option buying the parts of Banggood +no subscription required. awesome video though, thumbs up from me
Thank you - personally I think it's just easier to buy a PTZ camera, than to use a pi zero + pi camera - much quicker to setup, and if people want the subscription its there - otherwise it's not hard to incorporate in blueiris etc
Decent camera. Terrible software! No way to access it's feed over t'interweb using it's IP address. Windoze 10 software almost impossible to figure out, like it was coded by a 6 year old. 14:40 presets. How? Have you tried it? Nope. No matter what combinations of buttons you click, it doesn't move. Figure out the desktop software, actually use it, then come back with an unbiased review. I'll look forward to that.
Hi @Skysurfer, you are able to access the E1 Zoom over the web using it's IP (either directly which gives you a similar interface to the desktop client, or using RTSP); this is not a feature on the E1 however.
As for the desktop client, I have no problems with it (I am on mac so can't comment about the windows version) - it's easy to use and access settings.
You are correct about presets - this is a feature available on the desktop client, but not available on the E1 or E1 Zoom as of yet - I'm not sure why that is, but you're right - it doesn't work on the E series.
I hope this helps you :)
@@WillSurridgeTech Thanks for the reply, good points. I was putting the port number in the address, leave it off, just the IP, & you can get the server page up, but it's using Flash. So, not going to happen... They need to wake up to HTML5. Still no chance to use the presets on Windoze. It's in my hands, so I'll persevere... :-)
@@skysurferuk I agree, not ideal, and surprising that there aren't presets - but maybe one day!
