I bought the S20 for my fiancee last Christmas and the iPhone 12 Pro Max for myself about a month ago (switched from Note 10+) and I'd never recommend S21 if someone already got S10 or S20. It's a waste of your money for there's not enough improvements unless someone counts switching to plastic in S21 and S21+ as an improvement (which I doubt). Stick to your phones, guys, unless you really need to upgrade. I had to because of my job, otherwise I'd still be using my Note 10+

I preferred the S20 to the S21's camera shots.
The one thing which these blind camera tests has always revealed is that...
In real life, people would always prefer the pictures with warmer notes and punchy contrasts, as opposed to the more natural looking ones, no one really cares about natural looks in real life... We just want what looks best... That's even why people use countless of filters on social media.

The phone don’t look premium either but I like s21 designed more than the s20 the, s20 looks cheap that’s why I didn’t buy one. I’m going to miss Samsung pay I really didn’t use it that much tho!
But on the plus side the 120 and the flat screen the resolution of the screen is just fine with me, I pre-ordered the s21 it should be here tomorrow now seeing the plus model in person I’m having second thoughts.

SD card slot: I already have several 512 sd cards for my camera, drone, laptop, older phones. (The base storage is 128g on S21, ffs. For reference, one minute of 8K video is 0.6g)
MST on Samsung Pay: I won several free meals from store owners who bet that Samsung Pay wouldn't work on their credit card machine. (I don't carry my wallet on a short trip.)
Smaller size: I wouldn't underestimate 2mm width difference.

Thank you I am convinced ! I love my s20 but I woke up a morning and saw the $700 trade in value for the s21. I couldn't resist since it was just $95 for the 128gb to upgrade BUT ! First I didn't know the s21 didn't have sd cards... so I opted for the 256gb which came out to $146. My second issue is the RAM coming from the s20 with 12gb I am disappointed that the s21 only comes witg 8gb of RAM.. other than the sd card and low ram I am happy to have made the switch. I like the s21 design and the plastic back cover ! Finally No more glass in the back !

i looked at the spec sheets comparing the two between s20 and s21, and im leaning towards the s20. yeah im looking to get into wildlife photography but i am not going to spend 600 refurbished for a s21 when i can get a more saturated color scheme and faster ram, more battery life, higher density pixel display, and higher MP camera s20 with a price of 450 refurbished. i want an upgrade from my galaxy j7 star and im looking deep into the s20. i can get a case that will cover over the waterfall edge so i wont have to deal with accidental touches. those who think they need a phone that will shoot in 8k really dont need it. i barely need anything shooting in 4k. truth be told after having typed this all out, i honestly dont even need a new phone, i just feel a desire to upgrade. idk how to feel about that...

I just pre-ordered the S21. I haven't had a Samsung since the S4. I remember rooting that phone and running a custom ROM because of the software issues after a few months. I've always liked that Samsung kinda pushes the hardware department but I've never been a fan of their software. I'm glad they seem to be remedying a lot of their shortcomings. Coming from a Pixel 3, I was most concerned about the camera but it seems like Samsung does seem to be catching up in that department.

Bought the S20+ for roughly 650$ USD in India. I see it as the best deal vs a 1000$ S21+. Not to mention it comes with a charger and earphones. Retains the micro sd slot. BTW 120hz screen or QHD resolution on a phone is more of a gimmick than a feature. It sucks the battery out. I am glad i still have it for the occasional use but i am sticking to the power saving mode. Its great. You get more than a day's of standby time with almost 7 hours of screen on time which isnt bad considering this has an exynos processor.

Maybe I'm an oddball but I don't know why so much focus is put on comparing phones based on the camera improvement. I would hazard a guess that 90% of phone users just use their cameras for selfies, vacation pictures, and the clan gathering for aunt Emma's 90th BD. Do they really care that the picture is more natural, warmer, or more natural? ...and how many of those actually get enlarged printed matted, framed, and hung on the wall as an art piece? I probably would guess that the camera is an evaluation talking point but really, will most consumers get fussy over camera/picture quality? As a former film amateur photographer if I was half critical about picture quality I'd just buy a dedicated digital SLR.
