I really like how the special edition DVD menus were all unique, and gave each Bond film its own identity. The ultimate edition DVD menus were okay, but they all used the same basic design for the 20 films included.
I agree. I only had the first two special edition sets, but then bought the ultimate editions when they came out because each set (except set 1), had at least one movie I didn't have. The ultimate editions have a better remastered picture and more features, but, like you said, the menus were all the same. A lot of thought and time went into the menus of these special editions. Like the video says, they were cutting edge at the time and I wish they could have carried those over into the ultimate editions, but I'm cool with what I got. I gave my special editions to the local library where I work and they circulate like crazy.

Looks like _A View to a Kill_ Special Edition DVD based on 2:39. For the montage of films, I'm guessing whatever was the one you owned was the one that came first. ( _Die Another Day_ came first when I had that SE DVD.)

I prefer these to the Ultimate editions which were "enhanced" by Lowrey.
