if we compress a spring and put in acid solution and then if the spring dissolves in the acid where is the elastic potential energy has gone??? this question is puzzling me a lot
the PE is NOT lost. Take a 200 gr copper spring, k=0.01 N/m. Extend the spring over a distance of 10cm and calculate the PE. Then dissolve the spring in acid. Calculate how much chemical energy is released and compare the 2 numbers.
hi walter lewin , am anis ,your lectures really helped me , and am in high school right now , physics is one of the most subjects I love and you made me love it more , and because of this I do my best to study and get the full marks , but when the exams come I feel like that I have never studied ,and this is due the difficulty of the exams , and my last physics exam was today , and I was about to cry , so can you please till me any way to study physics and get the full mark .

I am no getting clear picture of direction of angular momentum, as in case of velocity and force we can actually feel and see it's direction, but what about angular momentum. please help
