I would drive all the way to Utah from Minnesota just to play this. Utah is blessed with the BEST arcade racing game... Im so proud to see arcade owners wanting to invest in this game... I have probably spent over $1000 dollars on Wangan Maximum Tune 3 and I never regretted a single dollar!

For those asking how to buy a machine - it has to be done through an authorized Bandai Namco Amusements distributor. There are certain areas of the world where they do not sell to - this particular model is North America only. Also note, there is a monthly fee associated with it and the unit has to be registered with Bandai Namco to work properly. Pricing varies from distributor to distributor, but the model you see above goes for somewhere around $22k~25k, depending.
It's hard to convert to MPH as it needs some coding to synchronize with KPH/km/h. But the fact that this game is mainly for cars to go up to 300 km/h, which is the nature and logic of WMMT: every car goes up to 300 km/h.
@@babakazi808 You can do that. But one of the real reason why it's not converted to MPH is that KM/H is a big thing for WMMT. Literally the story is all round pushing their car's limits to over 300km/h 'till they gave up. So of course, one of the aims for the game is that you get to feel how they (the characters) drive in Japan, specifically the "Wangan". I'm just trying to open up the real reasons of this. Doing the math is not a bad way of knowing the mph.

The terminal is there to allow users to either buy a Banapassport card (which is used to log-in and track your progress) or to make adjustments to your vehicle without the need to do it in-game and with a timer counting down. Still working out how to get it to take bills correctly, but it's a neat little feature (it also serves as the gateway to link machines together and to the internet)

Wmmt4 is the only deluxe ver, starting from wmmt5 they only do budget ver to cut down costs as well as per play cost. But deluxe ver is far more durable and reliable compared to the cheap ones today.
The thing i hate, i saw a tryhard player slam the wheel way to hard and the screen just turn black and white. The manager soo upset then he gave a warning "playing harsh on the wheel will close the game and there will be no replacement"
screen flash isn't even that big of a deal. yeah some people do it to the point of breaking the wheel and that ain't good BUT slamming in general has benefits to playing sooo 🤷♂️
Hello there. Thanks for making this videos. There are hundreds of arcades out there but none of them has unboxing videos of wmmt machines. I would love a follow up video about monthly sales of this machines, monthly fees to bandai namco, the maintainance fee especially the wheel and shifter and how long it took for you to break even. I own a small arcade shop here, which mostly consist of crane games but i would love to know about profits and cost related regarding this arcade machine. Thanks again
To answer some of that - it's been a great machine with a very loyal following. A bit pricier than other arcade racers but still it tends to be in my top 3 or 4 every month (I don't have the numbers in front of me right now)Fees are $75/mo per seat but it's usually making something well above $1000/mo to make up for it. Maintenance I've been lucky on (knock on wood) but when something breaks down, Namco parts can be rather expensive, I think replacing an entire shifter is in the realm of $700, but so far I've been able to keep from needing to do that. It helps that the front desk is right next to the game so we can tell people to knock it off when they get too rough (which some people get upset about, but oh well). Hope that helps and I'll try and discuss more when I unbox MT5DX+

Ha, no. Seeing how Bandai Namco doesn't care about the game since I got it, they've given me little incentive to upgrade. If we were getting promised upgrades, then it would be a different story.

Games like these need to be purchased from a Bandai Namco authorized distributor in your area, but this particular version is only available in North America and only to an operating arcade business. As long as you fit those two categories, pretty much any major distributor will sell this to you (PrimeTime, Betson, Player 1 Group, MOSS, etc)
5DX+ is not available in the USA yet. What we have currently is the most up-to-date version that Bandai Namco offers for the North American market. Hopefully 5DX+ comes along in 2019.
These cabinets were adapted from the cabinets found with Mario Kart GP DX US models. They are a bit taller (to make room for the card dispenser), completely different control panel & lighting. But if you ever see the US versions of both machines, you'll see the similarities

Shifter on right are based on Left hand steering where the shifter positioned on driver's right hand. Vice Versa.

The seat design look different to the Asia ones.
These cabinets were adapted from the cabinets found with Mario Kart GP DX US models. They are a bit taller (to make room for the card dispenser), completely different control panel & lighting. But if you ever see the US versions of both machines, you'll see the similarities

@@panasonic9948 From what i know, nb points are deducted to the cab per play idk if its deducting if a player will play with banapassport or not or both. Im just a regular player and i based this from my perpective of me playing for 3yrs.
