Little known fact: you always hear a constant guitar amp hum whenever Josh Homme is in the room, regardles of whether there's an actual guitar amp or not.
that’s his tinnitus
He himself is a Peavey Decade
“I can’t go. I have to... stay... as hard as I can.” This dude is a fucking genius
the world is glad to have Joshua Homme today.
It really is
So true
"I love some thing that finds it's place, despite being "broken"..."
Damn, Josh, thank you.
I love these little peaks inside of his mind. Such a genuine artist.
Irishdogster You should checkout Marc Maron and Dean Delray interviews with the one of a kind Joshua Homme.
Leila Anders link?
he is
@@leilaanders1703 absolutely these little peaks are never enough.
he only started going on these rants after he stopped writing good songs
Really need to see an album with queens and royal blood! Crucifire is amazing and i want more!
Josh is damn elegant in his words. Brilliant artist.
Absolutely in love with this album!!! Josh Homme just has my number I swear. Great to hear his insights and the creative process! Where would rock music be without Josh? I don't even wanna picture that world
Oh to be a fly on the wall in the desert sessions.
The noise is actually louder than his voice.
HurrAY 4 WHITE NOISE LOL
Joshua. You are the LEGEND. You are one of the few professional musicians nowadays. Thank you for everything!
Josh Homme is a Genius and for me that's enough!
He is a great amazing artist, like all his projects are fantastic
"Move Together" and "If You Run" are my favorite tracks. Beatiful album.
I love easier said than done and crucifire the most
I dont know which one I love the most, but something you cant see is amazing
Something you cant see
This is one of the most enjoyable record releases in years! Thank you for this interview!
Toornst, the man the myth the legend
Godbless you ginger elvis!
Regarding Crusifire song "Mike Kerr and I (Joshua) were raised very religiously. We have that in common." Never in a million years, did I think Josh would openly admit it.
how did you know this haha? also are you saying usually he hides this?
i would love to spend thirty seconds in his head…..i say only thirty seconds because i don’t think i could handle anymore than that! he’s an incredible human
such a great idea to get inspiration from the desert, i love the desert, i can totally relate 💙
"Not me, .. you" haha, I love this man.
Cool to hear Josh talk about Mikes voice on the Crucifire track, I instantly loved it but though it was a deep voiced girl that tracked it... But my research of who actually sang, gave me Royal Blood to listen to! 1+1=2😍
So glad this video exists 🤘🏽 and Ima need visuals for the entire album 🙇🏻 🤞🏽

Cracking LP. Especially enjoyed ‘Easier Said Than Done’ Gave me Goose Bumps & Goose Bumps Never Lie
Stridey Gaming Jesters
Goose bumps never lie. Can I steal that?
Tomb Land just credit Stridey & it’s all yours
My fav song of the album.
Yep, they never lie. ✌
There is only one version that is this human. 11/12 is as rock and roll as 1/2. Beautiful music played by fantastic minds.
"Something You Can't See" is my go to on this one.
I just came here for the background story of Chic Tweetz. Not disappointed at all. :-D
Best voice ever...
Yes
Josh Homme is an improved god.
I love how straight-faced he remained when he told the story about Töôrnst. From Chic Tweetz. Töôrnst is Josh, right?
Bro, who knows
@@punkst3r no one knows
there is actually a live TCV performance in Germany where Josh in between songs goes something like “meine Schmutzi” just to fool around with the audience, but he does it with a Töôrnst kinda character of voice so close to the song that it is hard for me not to consider him to be it
Josh is listed as vocalist. Not sure if that means anything.
yea there’s a pitched-down version of the song on youtube and it sounds just like josh doing an accent😂
The new King of rock n roll
Has been for a while if you ask me
The story behind Chic Tweetz is fucking hilarious
this interview is almost longest than the record.
Great great record.
"I don't play piano well, and also I'm not good at it" lmao
I have to giggle a bit when I watch this talk through its just the words and the meaning that he tries to emphazise they almost sound funny but extremly creative to me :D
Prepare for the fooken world tour my girlz & bois
i'm there
Töôrnst "Carlo von Sexron" Hüpft
Isn't that supposed to be josh
Josh, don't forget to add me tumble drier to the credits on 'if you run'. it ran poifektly to the track. i think the zip on me cagoule did it! love ya! x
I love when people use their actual 3310 (Nokia) phones to record audio tracks for interviews like this...
Fuckin' genius in so many ways ♡♡
this feels longer than the album ;(
Years and years ago I thought that that idea of taking a song and injecting two other songs into it was such a dangerous waste of three songs. But I've, within the last few years, realized that when done correctly, it can have such crazy, unexpected payoffs.
Never in a million years, such a dangerous waste is almost completely devoted to get inspiration from the desert, I think Josh would openly admit it.💙This whole trippy ride, within the last few years, was perfection💙!One of the most articulate , i can totally relate 💙and bring a sound engineer next time.
Josh Homme: Artist of Kintsugi
ahh.. wheres Claypool??
He plays bass on the first three songs (on Noses in Roses, he plays most of the bass but I think during the middle section where the song changes Josh is playing bass). It's really good bass tracks. It's not classic Claypool, but it doesn't need to be. (this last part isn't directed at you btw, it's just a rant) Virtuosos don't need to be constantly buttfucking their instruments for their talent to be respected. It blows me that people think Josh is wasting the talent of Jon Theodore in QotSA because he doesn't have him playing batshit Mars Volta stuff. He adds a certain nuance to the simple parts. And Les' performance on those songs does the same thing. It'd be different if anyone else played it, but also anyone else could play it.
@@CCDaDon15 Thanks for the Tip! Cheers!
@CCDaDon15 now THAT is how a true fan answers a question!
The tracks claypool plays on Jerry Cantrell bogy depot are very understated. You would never know it was him
Cara cadê a legenda BR? Por favor presciso ver esse Deus falar
WHO
IS
GARY
?
I guess I should admit I, as well as others, have put Josh in a somewhat negative light at first because of the negative connotations people have put on him as being an arrogant Rock-star. But it’s all bullshit. He’s in tune with things, you can tell. Pretty focused, yet he’s a free-minded kind of guy. I mean, this project proves that in general. To get big names together for years in this way is pretty incredible. The album is short but multi-faceted. Cool stuff.
I’ve followed his career very closely since the Kyuss days and what people said about him was largely correct for a time. In the mid 2000s he contracted a staff infection that very nearly killed him. He is the first to admit that this experience changed his life completely and since then is a much more humble human being.
Use audio transmittor next time.. camera mic sux... constant noise under the video
The Governor. ✌🏼️
Wish he talked about les a little bit
☕✌🏽
Homme ist musikalisch *WERTVOLL*
I'm waiting to get stoned af to hear this album
Use a Keylight and bring a sound engineer next time.
привет джош!
hey dad
I came here to see if he was literally talking with each track also playing
NME couldn't afford to have an engineer take all the hum out of this?
I thought Libby grace was just a pitch shift of Mike Kerr voice
Pull myself off. Teehee 15:40
Josh is flying high 😅😎
Is that a crime?
Every interview i see this.
that dude definitely not a crime in any form of the meaning. Josh can do no wrong, only right 💘💘💘
I really have no idea, obviously, if he is high or just too sober 😉 I’ve watched a decent amount of his interviews that made me come to that assumption & I apparently felt like commenting. I love getting high when the vibes are right & do not judge anyone for anything. Josh is a god of creativity & again can do no wrong. Even the whole the foot camera face incident...touring isn’t easy, I imagine...he let some of his human vulnerable side emerge & that is okay.
Heavy Ryan Adams vibe on Something you can’t see
Why is the audio quality such garbage
So glad to see this interviu but the Sound is crazy bad mixed!! Why??? I cant listen Josh talking and the music is súper strong! What the hell?
Didint know Tommy Robinson was in this game?
Josh "ammm" Homme
I can't wait for a time when you can freely say 'doing drugs' instead of 'too much to drink'....without fear of being raided or having a glove pushed into your butt....I'm not saying they were doing any or that no one was drunk, just that if they were, they might be able to say 'yeah x had a bag of mushrooms from a year ago and we didn't think they'd work so we ate them all and then.....'
Homme is not the type of person to lie about this kind of stuff
@@Cystlib yes he is...if only to be respectful of the privacy of those around him...think about it
In a few years Josh Homme will become Donald Trump's doppelganger.
Here from Joe Rogan?
he's got some awesome guitar hooks and a good voice to go...but he pulls off the gas pump attentant look a bit too convincingly
Lol 😂
He seems Trump
One of the most articulate men though can be long-winded and boring. The recent "Desert Sessions" release is interesting because it seems to be the worst yet of the series but could be a grower. Good to see it back in action and it would be nice if Homme could come up with a new one soon. Having one with Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor, Iggy Pop and John Paul Jones should be interesting to say the least.
Total gibberish
John Hetherington hmm?
Getting old and disenfranchised is difficult
Your just stupid
Shame Josh Homme is involved in #HumanTrafficking
What are you talking about? You need proof to back up a statement like that.
Jim Samb what?
Where did you get that from
Adrian Tang probably some lefty wanksplash deciding that anyone who isn't fully on board with marxist ultra globalist communism and thinks differently politically to them is therefore directly responsible for all the bad things that happen in the world
Freedly Beedly Boop lmao what
