    I passed on the MK1 mechanical because of feedback about dodgy movements. It is sad to a similar situation. I agree with your comment about a Miyota movement. 👍🏻

      Yes, hopefully they do something like that, otherwise, I think it might be good to just move up to the Hamilton that is very similar.

    Just picked the blue dail option for 89.99. Running fine, solid feel. Love the sapphire glass. Now, the movement runs fine, when adjusting dail it tends to try and jump a few minutes, not everytime but often enough. But after set it runs great. For the price point I couldn't pass it up. May upgrade movement if possible.

    I like the looks and I am glad Timex is going in this direction. I wish that it had a better quality movement and Indiglo. Indiglo is, to me, the best reason to have a Timex. Timex has the brand strength to carve out a big piece of the watch market and add organic growth. This could be their first move and we might be seeing the first signs of market consolidation. Put a better movement in this watch and add Indiglo and you have a watch that would be hard to pass up. Microbrands should be paying attention.

    • @JustWatches1
      @JustWatches1  2 года назад +3

      If Timex makes a mechanical watch with a small battery or solar battery to power the indigo I think that would be one of the coolest watches of all time!

    Miyota is already in the navi XL to get low price a Russian vostok or Chinese seagull is great.

    I have the Timex in white dial coming.. I had a Timex white dial when I was a kid. I loved that watch and wish I still had it.. If they would put a Miyota movement in this one, it would be better! Also I agree the hands should be longer and should have way better lume. Can't wait to get mine to see how accurate this Chinese movement is. I've heard it could be a Seagull movement.. If it's within +6-8s/day like my Fossils I'll be ok with it. The hack better work as it should or it will be going back..

    • @JustWatches1
      @JustWatches1  Год назад

      @@JustWatches1 I got it…had it a few days. Looks to be about +8-10s/day or more…not horrible but a bit too off for me.. I’m either gonna take it to my jeweler and see if they can regulate it down a bit or I’ve been wanting to get into this hobby so might get caseback opener tools/Bergeon ball and see if I can knock it down a bit. Love the watch itself!. Looks great. Sorta reminds me of my childhood watch but of course a little nicer looking

    • @tjwright
      @tjwright 2 года назад

      you should screw in the crown..... turn it clockwise while pushing in and it will screw down against the case. There's no way it can pop out accidentally if you are doing this...

      I’ve worn this watch every day for 3 years. I wish it did have a screw down crown. I wear it tight on my left wrist. I’m sure that isn’t helping the situation. The crown popped out 5 or 6 times in 3 years. It is a good watch otherwise.

      Right? Love that they are making watches this size!

    • @jimlittle5769
      @jimlittle5769 2 года назад

      That 38mm is nice but with a lug to lug of 47.5, it wears like a 40-42mm. Example, the Orient Kamasu, a diver watch, is roughly a 42mm, but it's lug to lug is slightly less than this one. Same issue as the watch it imitates, the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical.

    But as with any mechanical watch, the big question is accuracy. In this case, I’m happy to report that the Field Post (and its 23-jewel Sea-Gull TY6DSK-1 movement) averaged just plus-6 seconds per day.
