This is embarrassing to admit, but I actually drooled watching this clip! What an absolutely gorgeous car. Truly a piece of automotive art.
Hahaha. Highest compliment possible. Thanks so much for watching. I have many videos queued for this year, would love it if you would be so kind as to subscribe. Cheers!
Simply ...just art and elegant
Truly it is. Thanks for watching
I sure wish modern BMW design was as stunning as this!
Me too
There can never B another look like the 3.0 series and the 2002 ti simply unique and beautiful
Well said sir.......
what a beautiful piece of art......one of the best car ever made
florin colesnicenco completely agree!
Wheels aren't original though, they are later (I would guess '80s) Alpina's. Original period alpina's are 14".
We had owned a 1973 3.0cs for over 20+ years and by far was one of the most enjoyable cars to drive even to this day. Thanks for sharing your video as it brings back many great memories of days gone by.
Mike! Thanks so much for watching and for your comment. Cars from this era did a great job at generating smiles and memories. Lovely stuff. Cheers!
Well done. Most of us that endure the work of vintage ownership are doing so in part out of romance. I recently added a fjord blue 3.0 CS to my quiver. One morning I unloaded a some old Macintosh hifi gear out of the trunk, thinking "well this is about about as good as it gets". You captured that feeling here....
Thanks so much !
Unbelievable example; I’ve seen a few, but the restored body work and parts on this one is amazing.
I t is the cleanest one I have ever seen. Thanks for watching !
Stunning.
I would love for you to bring it to Jay Leno's Garage so that we can hear more about it. You have one of the nicest ones that I have ever seen.
Heart-achingly beautiful. I almost cannot bear to look at it. Straight up.
Trev0r98 every time I see one, pretty much no matter the colour, I am blown away. It is one of the best looking cdrs of all time.
@@TimsEnthusiastGarage Agreed, 100%. Wilhelm Karmann GmbH was a sheer, artistic genius. In every way, the automotive Michelangelo of his day. Karmann's "Sistine Chapel" was this BWM.
I picture myself driving this through the Alps on a sunny Sunday afternoon. This is a fine example of why I'll always own a BMW.
The alps or stelvio pass would be the PERFECT weekend get away for one of these cars. I have a real thing for BMW with a shark nose. Cheers!
in that case you're gonna like my little fleet of sharks: '71 2800 e3, '78 525 e12 and '85 528i e28. I drive them as much as I can and live near the German border so now and then i take them to the Eiffel where they can shine on the Autobahn and the twisty roads in the mountains. :-)
So beautiful
I seriously want this car. It's like the Amish were involved. Such craftsmanship.
Nice presentation, thank you!
😎🇩🇪🚙
BirdogEd thank you so much for watching!
A gem inside and out.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
IIIrandomIII thanks for watching !
these sell for anything from 50k (project cars) to 100+k in europe, they are anything but underrated. but they are my all times fav cars, so elegant and beautiful..
Most romantic car review I've ever seen.
Richard Kabbany wow. Thanks. That means a lot!
Great job on this video. Well said btw, style is the only way describe this car. This is the best car of the 70’s in my humble opinion
K.J. G. Thanks so much for this comment!! Yes. In my
Opinion the best BMW
of the era, one of the best of all time. Quintessentially cool. Please subscribe to the channel if you could be so kind. Cheers!
OMG, that is just gorgeous.
Beautiful car! One of my dream cars! Love me some BMW!
She Flys This is one of the most beautiful cars of all time, for me it certainly is the best BMW. thanks for watching!
What a great video! I now love this car!!
Tim Tursonoff thanks so much for watching! Subscribe for new content!
I wish it were mine! Nice colors.
That car is absolutely stunning. If you could re-publish this video with less music volume it would be perfect. Thank for sharing.
Thanks for watching !
I'm not hard of hearing but the music drowned out the narration. Oh but the photography was spot on.
Thanks for watching
very nice video!
Thanks for watching!!
bellissima bmw
Nice vid. Subscribed
Eddie Jack thanks so much !
Great video! Just subscribed, this is my favorite BMW of all time. It is the very definition of elegance and sadly the last of the hand built feel out of Bavaria. You can actually smell the leather and wood thru the screen on my phone!
KJG, thanks so much for subscribing and for your comment! I love these cars and was really hoping my videos would energize enthusiasts to continue to pursue and love these spectacular and rare vehicles.
This is my dream car ❤️
sanka samarasinghe it’s a beauty
Она великолепна! не то, что новый безумный дизайн
That’s a proper car
David Viner 100% proper
Wonder what it would cost to manufacture this car in the present day - I mean what genuine auto enthusiast wouldn't want one in their garage? Prices for clean used examples are going through the roof, so there are very few of us who will ever be able to afford one.
Your voice was made for the E9
Ndirangu Wanjohi that is a serious complement my friend. Thank you!
wow fantastic car b m w 3.0 cs
Sai Kumar thanks for watching!!
@@TimsEnthusiastGarage any jobs
Love the car but what is this Godly instrumental?
In the early seasons of this channel I scored each episode. I have a background in the music industry and thought I would combine both passions. It was time consuming and some liked it/ some didn’t , so I backed it way down. Thanks for watching
I just had a cargasm
Give it to me, I'll take it. Thank you...
Nice video, but I got lost when the word "automatic" appeared.
Still, I nice car.
I agree, a manual would indeed take it to another level
Thanks…now I am in love…how do I tell my wife?…..😉
She’ll understand 🙃
Nie ma ABS , ASR ,AirBag, Klima, Navi, ParcAtist ? Kup Opel ! Prawdziwe samochody !
Your taste is impeccable. This is perfect car porn.
Thanks so much. I am working on some new videos now. My current Maserati coupe, Aston Martin’s Virage (90), r129 SL , 246 Dino and some others !
BMW's for the last 20 years have been crap. This and the 2002 were perfection.
I like this car significantly more than the ‘02 but I agree , recent BMW have focused on tech but left style and elegance far behind
Here's to hoping my car can reach half this status when I'm 60+
BMW has been on a winning streak with making cool cars. E30 and E46 are on their way to being nearly as iconic as this car. I am sure some of the newer ones, especially the M2 Comp will one day garner serious credibility. Cheers and thanks for watching !
realy beautiful~i wanna know color code~
037 fjord metallic
The only problem is that it's automatic
Manual would be sublime. Thanks for watching
Blasphemy adding music when you talk about one of God's gifts to the motoring world, STOP it. I've owned a couple of the 4 Dr cars, 3.0 S . Absolutely a thrill after getting to drive a friends lite weight w/3 webers and other mods that haunt me to this day 40+ yrs later. Thanks I think. Great video.
Brilliant cars. We have forgotten how sweet the sound of intake noise is. These days everything is about exhaust. All the sweetest sounding cars have glorious intake sound. Many are carb’d. Thanks for watching !!
@@TimsEnthusiastGarage How right you are. I really don't think most people are aware of that beautiful sound unless you were involved with carburators especially 3 webers with simple air cleaners. In 1977 my friend bought his modified 3.0 CSL for $12k, an outrageous amount until you drove it. Previous owner used it at Lime Rock (?) Connecticut, I think.
If this economy ever returns and I can still drive..........
Is it for sale?
hassaan chattha no but thanks!!
@@TimsEnthusiastGarage how much does it cost? Any estimate?
hassaan chattha 45-65k
Automatic!?
yes, thanks for watching
Looks amazing, beautiful design, but one of the worst rusters of all time with really poor weld quality. Be VERY careful buying a coupe, especially a cheap one.
You know? Great video, love the commentary but pleaseeeee watch the “you knows”.... I know, I’m an a*hole, but it detracts from the quality you’ve obviously put into the videos.... just saying you know.
Carlos J. Bellosta you know, you’re right. I also have a tendency to say “so” . I have tried to edit those out on newer videos. It’s a process my friend. I watch a load of different channels myself and try to avoid the things that irritate me, like stating erroneous facts, etc. I’m growing the channel into one I would like to watch and hopefully, someday so will you. You know ? 😛. Cheers and thanks for watching !!
Tim's Enthusiast Garage thanks for the reply. Do love the content do.
It's very pretty, but unfortunately it seems as though this particular example has been turned into a garage queen and has lost its really cool flavour in the process...
Thanks for watching. No garage queens here, not sure what makes you think that. While it is well maintained it is driven weekly and sometimes even daily... even in the rain. Cars are meant to be driven! Enjoy the drive :)
Automatic - Just goes to show how the USA just DON'T get what a car is all about.
A time and a place for every taste. No need for disrespect my friend.
@@TimsEnthusiastGarage Sorry if I came over as disrespectful. A sports of the 80's with an automatic gearbox ????? Sorry. No go. The automatic was made (mainly) for the US market. Its just not the same car with an automatic.
A precision GETRAG 5 speed gearbox and it becomes a true classic. They aren't worth much with an Auto.
Team33 I agree with you the experience is truly made great with a manual. I will say that cars that as a lad I would never have considered with an Auto do have a usefulness in terms of “cruising” great distances AND as you rightly pointed out the cars are often much cheaper. Most of the cars I own are spec’d with a manual . Certainly a member of the “save the manuals” society. Cheers and thanks for watching!
@@TimsEnthusiastGarage I switched channel as soon as you showed the "Automatic" badge and actually said you liked the font as if it were something to look for in a car like this...
Happy collecting. Been there - Done that.
the only drawback is - that you talk too much
darkbrian ' thanks for your input. Have a great weekend
Tim's Enthusiast Garage great video man love the enthusiast geek talk!!👍 I prefer analog car compared to today's robots on wheels....lol
Fucking music noise. Too loud too much. Ruined everything
No f word next time please. Sorry it ruined your experience. Cheers!
