Hey! I don’t think so, the uni is very diverse and there are so many societies and activities to do so you’re highly likely to find a friendship group if you stay involved with uni life outside of your studies :)
I'm originally from Eritrea but grew up in the UK and I'm starting this year. I also met someone from Somalia who got an offer for the same course as me so it's definitely possible!
