I cant explain to you how much catharsis ive felt from watching your videos. I was shitting bricks before about how im going to survive at university. You've sort of humanised the entire ordeal. Thx
That’s truly such a kind thing to say - thank you so much for telling me! I’m so beyond happy that I’ve eased some anxieties in anyway I can. I was you once as well so I hope it helps to know that and know that you will be okay - in one way or another. I really hope to continue to spread the same positivity to other people. Thank you so much and I wish you endless amounts of love & success at university 🤍
Amazing accommodation wow,the views is unreal!!Best of luck with ur college year I hope it all goes well for you 😊☺️❤️❤️
It’s amazing - especially at night!! Thank you so much!!🥰🤍
Your room is so pretty even before it's been decorated!
It does have a lovely view!
So happy for you xx
Awh thank you so much!!🤍
Soooo satisfying 😊 x
Thank you!😊x
your view is so amazing!!! 😍 now i wish my college was a little further away from home so i can move away too lol. btw your music taste is amazing! just added them to my own playlist 🤭
The view is soo cool! But trust me, you’re so lucky to be at home lol: you still get your nice, home cooked meals and other home comforts! Thank you about the songs - trying to find copyright free music can be a struggle sometimes!!
Currently in sixth form, Its my dream to go to university however I'm generally worried ill end up alone and wont find any friends. Its not that I'm shy, I just don't know how to start conversations. Can someone like this survive uni and is it hard to find friends?
Hey thank you for commenting! Everyone’s university experience is completely different and it’s not a straight line. I was really struggling early on with the idea of not getting along with anyone or finding ‘my people’. I honestly became close with the people I’m friends with now because I grew more confident with time. I sat back and observed them and got an idea of certain people (as I can be introverted at times). When they would have conversations amongst themselves I would casually join in and I slowly integrated myself when I was ready. But I understand lots of people can’t do that and want to know they have people early on. I completely understand your worry but honestly with the uni life style - believe it or not most people come to you! I answered a similar question so I’ll copy it in now: When you first move in, everyone wants to make friends with everyone to have the best years of their lives. Everyone is so excited that they all want to talk to one another. If you know where you’re going to live and who you’ll be living with, creating a group chat with those people is a really good way to ease your anxiety of conversation starters - as you can get to know them online and know what to roughly expect of each person as you’ve had lots of conversations and exciting build ups. If that’s not an option, on the actual day, leave your door open when you’re unpacking so people can see you as they walk by and will feel more inclined to chat as they can see you’re open to talk. Spend a lot of time in your kitchen (making food or watching things) because the kitchen is a uni students destination and lots of people will be coming and going. If you base yourself in the place most people will be, people will naturally chat with you and you can have the chance to talk to people. Once you’ve established connections with your flat mates through that, they’ll be somewhat of a support system and you can go and do things with them. For example, flat parties will be more common during the start of your year and you’ll be able to go with some people from your flat. Mix with people from your flat and then other party people will want to come over and join your conversation and speak to you, ask about your course etc. The most important thing to remember is everyone wants to make friends as much as you do. Uni is set up to be the best years of your life, where you make life long friends and everyone is trying to chase that dream so lots of people will be chatty and extroverted - and it will take a lot of the pressure off of you! If your flatmates aren’t your type of people, then you’ll find people on your course too in similar ways or even at the flat parties you go to with your flat mates initially.
To conclude (I apologise for the length), you’re going to survive. Whether it’s one friend, a group of friends, your flatmates or someone on your course - people will come to you. You’ll have so many options. With your flatmates - talk about the move in day, what they’re studying etc it’s an easy start. With your course mates, literally talk about the course and why they want to do it etc. Just start with the boring basics and they’ll take the conversation beyond. You’ve got this! Don’t let this stop you from experiencing something that could be life-changing.
M8 there will be lots of ppl that will feel the same especially in the first few days, I will guarantee in the first couple of days you’ll meet a couple of ppl and then through networking of friends of friends you’ll meet others and trust me , likes attract likes and if ppl relate to you they will make themselves known! If you need any advise just ask! Bless you shouldn’t worry so much!
personally, i would just go. like you can always leave if you don’t feel comfortable, or feel like your finding it hard! some advice i have is try go with a friend, even if you aren’t bffs with them, you will become closer because you won’t know anybody there, but atleast you will know each other, some people just focus on studies, and don’t really care about friends.
but if you want friends, just make a conversation, just ask them for their snap or something, and just ask what they are studying, im going with my bff and i’ve ALWAYS been scared of other things, like if our childhood bully will be there, but you have to think positively, and try to talk to people!
Im in the same boat! It’s really scary but I think it’ll work out
Just trust God and it will be alright
Doing the opposite-moving from london to university today! Having lived my entire life in london i will be glad to be in the countryside
Oh wow - it’s definitely a big change! I hope you don’t get too bored being in the countryside… there’s not much to do but it is so peaceful and calming. I hope you love it :)
@@itsjxylxn Where's your uni?
i absolutely love ur room
Ahh thank you so much!! 🤍
Im fourteen and I plan to move to london for uni and i cannot wait so this is my type of procrastiniation. Thanks for the great vid
Haha! I love that you’ve already got your life together! Thank you for commenting🤍
same here- I'm 14, in 10th grade and I've been binge watching London uni move in vlogs and doing research even though I'm like 3 years away 🤨🤨
@@estelleblanchet7784 Hopefully it means you're gonna be super prepared and it's gonna be a really smooth transition haha! Enjoy being 14 though!!
Why London tho i live in London but im 17 now i wanna move out to uni
me too hahah
Nice window, you can see from above.
Cerave, The Ordinary ... and those candles - I have the same LOL
Haha! We have good taste
wow your vlog is cute and satisfying !
Thank you so so much!😊
@@itsjxylxn keep making i'll keep watching ! 🤩❤
Omg I’m doing the exact opposite of you, I went to both school and am currently in sixth form in central London - I can’t wait to leave. It kind of gets boring after you know the whole of central like the back of your hand 🥲
Omg that’s so funny to me! I think university is a perfect opportunity for that though - to live somewhere else and experience a different life whilst being able to financially rely on your loan
I’m 13 and won’t be going to uni for years- but we’re here!
Haha, thank you for watching!! It’s always good to be extra prepared😂
trust me, time flies! i remember when i was 13, i was obsessed with university videos and now im going to university next year 😭
Me too! I have a phobia of heights so I can't get too close to the window cause I think I'm going to fall. Lol
My mum is the WORST with it. A year later, I’ve finally grown to enjoy the thrilling feeling haha
No way your in my old room I miss that place so much x
Awhh no way!!! It’s crazy all the memories you make are just left to someone else making new memories in the same place x
i remember when my brother left for collage i woke up one day and he was gone i thought someone ate him been 3 years still haven’t heard from him tho rip ig
Drop more videoss we love u mann
Thank you - that means so much to me! Videos are posted weekly :)
That cat is gorgeous 😂 I’d take them with
I really really wish I could 😭
Beautiful country ✌🏼
It really is 😊
Hii , this is the unite Olympic way accomodation?
I’ll move in September and maybe I’ll stay there .
Anyway I like so much this video 🤍
Yes it is that accommodation! I hope you enjoy it :) thank you so much🤍
One of my dream is to get in to MIT even tho is literally impossible I still want to try to get in good luck with your uni life!!
Nothing is impossible - as long as you’re trying, you’re doing your best and you can’t regret that! Thank you :))
Idk y im watching this im still in middle school but njce vlog!
Haha thank you so much!
Is that a Sheffield accent I hear? Where are you from originally, and how are you finding London a year on?
I’m from the Cotswolds! I’m finding London fantastic thank you - there are so many opportunities and it’s such an incredible experience to live in the city.
ik this is really random, but what breed of dog are the ones at the beginning? they seem like border collies but im not sure
they real pretty tho
Awh thank you so much! I’m sorry this isn’t really helpful but they’re rescue puppies from Romania so we actually have no idea what their breed is - I completely see the border collie vibe though!
Amazing oldest subscriber here xd
Thank you so much for still being here!!🤍
love your dorm omg!!! what are you studying?
Thank you!! I’m studying screen acting 😊
Are you able to disclose which uni this is? I’ve always wanted to go to uni in London and the accommodation seems really nice- also ur packing skills are ✨immaculate✨ 👌🏽😌
Haha thank you for appreciating my packing skills 😌 the accommodation is separate to the university I go to - the university recommended this accommodation but they’re not connected! The accommodation is called Stratford One, it’s run by ‘unite students’ - I hope that helps!
@@itsjxylxn thank you so much and of course it helped x
Are you dorming with other people. If so do you have to pay extra?
It costs extra to live on your own - you can live in studios to yourself. But I personally chose the more affordable option which is living with 8 other people. You get an en-suite though which is really good because I could not share a bathroom with other people!
i have a question should i do it my sophomore year the ending of it if i get accepted would you suggest anyone to go study abroad if they can? btw i subscribed to you
If you have the urge to study abroad and you’d regret it if you didn’t then 100% take the risk and do it. Don’t do it if you just think you ‘should’ because you have the opportunity. Only do what you genuinely believe is a part of your journey :)
@@itsjxylxn awwww thank you girly!!!
Such a nice video.

i love your room do you miss your mom im in london too🥰 we soon will meet🥰
Thank you so much and I really do miss her when I’m in London but I go home as often as I can! Xx
When I first saw you I couldn't take my eyes off you. The only reason is that you are very beautiful.😍🌹😍😍 ANGEL 🧚🏽♀️
Thank you so much😊
Hey I also wanna go to London after 12th..will I face problem while speaking because I'm not a native speaker
I personally don’t think so - from this comment you seem to have very good English. Also, London is full of diversity! There are lots of different types of people speaking different languages in London.
@@itsjxylxn thanks
Nice room
Which part of the uk are you schooling?
London!
@@itsjxylxn ok
UK dorms are so much better than US dorms
Omg literally my cousin went to yale and she has a shared bunk bed in a tiny room which is five inches from the ceiling. She is super tall and her feet go over the rail at the end of the bed. She is paying 60-80,000 dollars per year for this, whereas i pay a fraction of that and get my own room with immaculate facilities
hey girl do you have to pay depostit before coming?????????????
Yes - but the deposit gets used towards your rent if you book for a second year and if you don’t book again it gets returned to you!
are u able to disclose which uni this is bcz its absolutely spectacular
it’s called Stratford One in London :)
Im going to uni next year and im going to university of east london is this in the east
Yes it is! Next to east village and Westfield :)
@@itsjxylxn ty and keep slaying
And um just asking its okay if you don't wanna answer whatn university did you go to
Still jealous of your kitchen views
it’s epic😎
heyy what university is this it looks amazing!!
Hey!! It’s called Stratford One (the accommodation)
what uni did you go to ??
LMA (London Media Academy)
Regretting not choosing Stratford as my accommodation now ughhh😂
Trust me there are quite a few cons to Stratford now I’ve lived there!😂 Where are you staying instead?
@@itsjxylxn I’m moving to a flat in Canary Wharf its with like 3 other people but not en-suite and apparently it doesn’t have a window in my room and I’m moving Thursday and I still haven’t actually seen the room😭 praying its not awful because the pictures look decent and there’s a big gym etc but yeahh i was so close to booking the Stratford One🤣x
That’s so rubbish about the window but Canary Wharf is a beautiful area so you’re so lucky to live there in your own flat with only a few people. It’s so much more worth it than living with 10 people in a box of a room, with security checking in on you whenever there’s the slightest amount of noise - it’s like you’re still living with your parents!! I really hope it’s okay when you get there xx
@@itsjxylxn aww thankyou!🤍and yess that’s true it’s a nice area that’s one of the reasons I chose it aswell just hope I I don’t get catfished😂😂xx
Keep me updated😂xx
What's name of university?
The accommodation is Stratford One Unite Students
what uni do you go to
LMA
I like ur pets
Awh thank you!
what uni did u go to
I go to LMA
Lmao the traffic was horrendous
Honestly the whole day was an actual nightmare for me
Heyy which uni
The accommodation is Stratford One Unite Students
Which university is this
The accommodation is called Stratford One
Did u have a job before uni or nah
Yes I did but only for 6 months! Plus I had been saving all of my birthday and Christmas money since I was like 8😂
are you in LMA london ??
Yes I am!
@@itsjxylxn i saw the box that the jumper comes in i am in the liverpool campus !!
Haha I can’t believe you noticed that! That’s soo weird though - I wish you were on London or I was on Liverpool it would have been so cool to meet you!
@@itsjxylxn yesss ahah i was like wait i know that box 😂
@@itsjxylxn what are you studying?
What uni ?
The accommodation is called Stratford One
want is your best about colleges and want is your challenges about colleges.
My favourite thing so far has been meeting new people and doing a course I love! My challenges are being away from home, in a new place. Thank you for asking :)
do you get an apartment for yourself, or do you share it and get your own room?
I get my own room and bathroom but I share the kitchen/living area!
This look more like a five star hotel
Haha trust me it does NOT look like that anymore 🥲😂
I "liked" this .... but I didn't like this! Moving day was sad x
I know :( x
Out of all the options u go to McDonald’s 🤣🤣😭
I know, it’s what we knew and it was cheap 😭
Sorry why do you put bread in the freezer no offence just never seen anyone do that before
No worries! Because I won’t be using bread all the time - putting it in the freezer makes it last longer. I’ll take out a couple slices and toast them from frozen or if I need just bread I’ll put some slices in the fridge the day before so they defrost
@@itsjxylxn oh that good idea I will have to steal that idea because I’m always buying bread while I’m at uni because they go off early thanks for the idea
@@faithbassett219 Haha that’s okay - got it from my mum - when I got to uni I forgot bread actually goes off
Thats so nice!
Beauty with brain ❤️❤️
