One of the finest (not to mention vital) guitar lessons out there, Marco! We fans of Marco's site should not only applaud your fantastic efforts but beg and support Marco Cirillo's site for more and reward Marco as well as ourselves with his wealth of pertinent guitar lessons. Great stand alone lesson of the blues!! Jim C.

Marco, you are so talented and I am so glad you are available. I’m still working on your Beginner Bluesy Melody in E minor Using Pentatonic Scale. I’ve working on getting the rhythm and the dynamics right. I’m learning to read music; I can figure out all the notes on the fretboard and I can figure out the names of the notes on a staff. I’m also doing the Spiderwalk. When I finally get the Beginner Bluesy Melody down, I’ll post a video. This one on Clapton is another great video. So glad you’re there!

I love Erlc Clapton blues. I am always learning how to play in his style. I'm not creative enough to come up with my own licks so i steal his. He is the king!!!

Great video, thank you! I’m about eighteen months into my guitar playing and I love the blues. So many different styles but it’s still the blues in some form. I have the shuffle down, and just yesterday was wondering what more I could do with it. I’ll be working on this today.

Amazing session Marco bro n as always butter smooth playing.
Eric Clapton - one of my inspirations. He is a genius with magical hand on guitar.
In fact I also believe the Blues genre is one of the most groovy genre one can ever play and also entertain the audience. I just forget everything n shake my body n get into the groove. 🤘🎸

    Why notated in 12/8 measure?
    This is a shuffled 4/4 isn't it?
    "Shuffled" is 4 triplets (4 x 3 = 12) with middle note not played.

Very nice video. Thank you so much.
However, as I am completely new to Blues and don't know Clapton at all, I'd like to know:
    1. Is this just Clapton style or did Clapton really have a Blues like this?
    2. Where can I find Clapton's original? What's the name of his original song?
Any hints are very welcome! 🤗😊💁‍♂️

  • @123prova
    @123prova 2 года назад

I got the concept but it would be nicer to go deeper about the way the two scales are used together for those who are less experts. I would suggest you to create videos that are more structured where you reference other (more basic or more complex) videos . This kind of referencing system could increase the curiosity of the viewer and increase the view count.
For example in this video you could have referenced videos about the blues/pentatonic scales and how to use them.
At some point you could just create a shared google sheet/doc with all the relations between videos that could function as a map for the viewer. Just share it (read only) and add it in the video description and that should simplify keeping the references updated.

Correct! They are not 7th chords But I was referring to the blues structure rather than the actual chords I am playing. Its my fault. I should have mentioned that in the video.
The chords I am playing are E5 and A5 (a power chord) but we also bring the 5th up to the major 6th.
