Hey friends, thanks so much for watching and for your continued support. Over the next few weeks, I'll be a little less active, as my wife Natalia and I welcome our baby girl into the world. I'll do my best to keep the resources coming both here and via the Patreon page. For printable tabs and guitar pro for today's lesson, click here: www.patreon.com/posts/53678360
Fantastic lesson, as always, Rob -- just watched it on your Patreon, which is such a great resource for me -- and sending you and Natalia all the best as you embark on the most miraculous journey imaginable.
At 60 years old and playing for 2 years watching so many guitarists, I have finally found my teacher. Had a heart attack 4 months a go and learning guitar is my Holy Grail. You are so concise and don't rush your lessons. Thank you and big love to your new baby and your lives together. Much love you awesome dude.
70 years young, I had my third stroke in February. Lost part of my peripheral vision, so a bit restricted to home. Decided to take up guitar. Just had a light bulb 💡moment with this lesson. I love the A position 👍. Adopting this as my default Minor Pentatonic position.
Been playing guitar 60 yrs..classical, jazz, country, bossa nova, fingerstyle; hundreds of instrumentals . Have to admit - never learned this. Good lesson. Thanks !
Congratulations on having a baby 👶. Play guitar constantly for your little one, before and after they come on to the world. The music has such a beautiful affect on the development and how you're child will look at and hear the world. Music is so amazing and thank you for creating such wonderful content!
Rob, im sure good things come your way, by the way you share and care. Congratulations on having your first baby, stay calm and enjoy it. Your on the support team! Its going to be great, Dad
Great lesson. I enjoy your lessons very much. I love the fact that you are not just teaching random licks. When you teach the solo as a whole, you not only learn the licks but also learn how to apply them at the same time. Extremely effective teaching style.
Ive learned so much from your tutorial that my kids are amazed, its hard to impress them untill my blues kick in, i like playing minor cords. Its hard to make majors in some cards, military injuries but i played guitar in the 60's but i got injured in the military, never could play like i used to until you came along in my life so thanks, you are just so good its scary
Whoa!! Having my baby!! What a lovely way to say how much I love you!! I couldn't resist 😆, I'm going to practice so hard, so I can someday play with the baby's dad!! Super Inspiring, just a touch of love, a little bit ❤ , oh,oh!! Lord Bless!!
Love that lesson. Thanks so much. As an advanced older beginner player, I will dive into it . Never realized how much I love the blues until I started my guitar journey. Keep up the great work, Rob. I wish you and your wife nothing but clear horizons for you and your upcoming young family.
Great tuition Rob thank you very much. I could never quite work out how to play the blues properly, this has given me a great foundation! I hope you're doing well.
Excellent teacher. I lost one of your lessons that I was determined to finish and I didn't even know your name so had to search through different guitar teachers to find you again. Glad that I did
very cool lesson, great blues vibe and some lovely licks - thanks! Also many congrats to you and your wife on the upcoming birth of your little girl - hope everything goes well with the minimum of stress; wishing mom and baby the best of health! I'll raise a glass to you all.
Oh man I love this.....i am super addicted to that traditional southern blues sound. I am very new to playing and I appreciate how you break everything down plus adding the music that you are playing to the screen. I can't begin to tell you how valuable this is to my learning. Thank you so much for posting. You are really making this fun for me my dude.
Dude,... I`ve been desperately searching for something to make me WANT to play again, I LOVE this SRV feel blues and I can feel it. I want to pick up my guitar again!!!! I`m throwing all this stuff I know from muscle memory into and over this exercise. Breaking out of stagnant routines and finding somewhere else to go with it all. This lesson and your other acoustic SRV lesson has been a HUGE rut buster for me. I love you. (nothing gay or anything) I truly love you for opening this door for me. Keep it coming. I`m hooked. Rock on! and Thank you sooooo much!
Great lesson Sir! I can't pay you all $$$ so I do what I can subscribe and upvote. One of the best blues lessons there is. People who are intimidated, take what you can... fake the rest and some day the rest will come easy.
Awesome, I learned a lot with your videos, my main idioms is spanish, and the way you talk is easily to understanding. By the way, congratulations 🎊 👏 for your baby 👶
Love ya lessons bro. I'm and all here wish you and your wife a happy and wonderful joy when your little bundle arrives the greatest joy you boh will ever experience Cheers Rob from Australia and New Zealand
I learn playin guitar just from youtube, i saw sooo fuckin much learnvideos. THIS one and how you show all the parts is the best way ive ever seen! Thank you sooo much!!

Good job on the tutorial as always, it’s its clear to see that you have put in many years of practice. There is no practice tutorial for raising a child it’s a path you must find on your own. Everyone has advice some good some bad, you have been blessed with someone that doesn’t hate the only thing a child is born with is love. ,
You give quite possibly the best lessons on RUclips. Would love to see a little more focus on the actual notes but whatever. You still make some of the best lessons. Things you can really use, not just riffs and cute little runs. Thanks man!
Rob, I have watching your videos for 3weeks now,I find them more inspiring then anything out there,I'm 69 and want to restart my guitar journey all over I do however know a few cords,I would turly like your opinion on what would be the best guitar for myself, hands are old and weak with arthritis setting in,not to bad yet but starting,Plz give me your opinion on this matter,my goal is too inspire my grandchildren into music..If anyone has a opinion plz give it.....Thank you Congratulations to you and your wife on the arrival of your child..
Thank you so much Rob for providing with the lessons even when I am off your patreon channel, appreciate your help! Most of your lessons are bit more easier for me to follow now than it was when I had the membership 😄 Even though you are an excellent teacher but you didn't have a clever student! 😄 Congratulations to you and wifey for the lil baby girl 😍Stay Blessed
Hello...new sub here....LOVE the way you teach, play, show, and explain all the things necessary the way that ya do man....AWESOME FOR SURE...Been playing a LONG TIME, and your very easy to follow along to,understand, and play along with. This is such a great lesson man, I’ve been playing a few years and I stumbled upon you recently with your Munsters Theme song tutorial and I’ve been following you ever since. So glad I found your channel, it’s really becoming my favorite 🤙

Thank you so much for your amazing videos always enjoy your lessons you are such a nice teacher and congratulations for your new baby and wish you all the love and lights 💚💛❤️🙏🙏
I like your feel and rhythm. It reminds me of my playing so that’s comforting! I’m starting to do lessons on my new channel so I appreciate your approach.
Thanks so much. Yes, that unplugged album really had a huge effect on my playing as I was cutting my teeth. The last lick over A7 is taken directly from a clapton track, I believe it was his version of Sweet Home Chicago.
It's very simple: a major is a rank in the army and a minor works underground. A flat minor is an underground worker who had a grand piano land on him and a sharp major is someone you don't really want to deal with.
This is a great tutorial. Thanks so much for posting and explaining the techniques so well. It has taken me a couple of days to master it but it sounds great. It has spurred me on to try and and expand on it with some improvisation. Thanks once again.
