Finally! Auto winch on the Warthog after 3 years, and loading crane on the Phoenix after 2 years Maybe next year we can hope to have a trailer hitch on the 6900 TwinSteer so it can be a little less overshadowed by the FEMM ^^
If that's gonna happen i don't use the FEMM any more, the TwinSteer has more Power is way more faster has better steering not that articulated steering, is lighter consumes less fuel and has probably more range
I actually bought the wolf pack because of the typo in the patch note thinking I'd have a medium log hauler with a crane other than the Forester, but now it is my go to short log hauler instead and with a trailer attached I can still do medium logs as well at the same time which is pretty nice. Plus I love how strong that engine it has is.
Snow is treated like mud in this game (no clue why, you'd have to ask the devs) I think the weak(ish) engine on the Kenworth is by design, so it doesn't completely annihilate everything else on the board
Sorry to say that but Tatra is so much underated, the Russian trucks still takes the lead for example Voron series... For me Tatra is best, but devs just made it slightly bad. For example the engeable diff lock only on low gears, in Force series slow gearbox option is what i consider debiliating. Also the tires are very small, so one big boulder and the truck is stuck. Not to mention they never implemented the Tatra 815's (most commonly produced) series. I know there are mods but i prefer to play the "hard" way. sorry devs but this is the thing thats really getting on my nerves.
am i the only one that wish that tatra trucks schould get better? i mean look at tatra 813. in real life it is known as a kind of hell truck that goes everywere. tatra do a good job in snowrunner but it has to les addons to use it all the time. this truck could be sooo usuful. and tatra 805 is the scout truck no one uses i testet it a bit and i was impresst about how good this thing is. why tatra 805 is not a scout truck with also small amount of addons and why it doesn´t suport autonomos winch is a riddle for me. sad they did not change something on this trucks :( but nice video :)
If the UOD III tires beat the UCD on the Crocidile, then the best UOD, UOD II will blow the UCD's away. lol Not surprised the JAT's beat the scouts beat the custom offroads. On trucks, I've down enough driving on offroad and mud tires (using winching when only absolutely needed, so no spider winching just to get though mud faster) to confirm that mud tires can get you though more mud under a trucks own power then offroad tires will. Not to say offroads are bad, they will still carry you through a hell of a lot. But a capable truck on mud tires with proper use of Medium Low or Low- gears can do things like wiggle it's way up a swamp if need be (which admittedly you rarely need to do) while offroad tires might not get you there on their own. However for whatever reason mud tires on trucks seem restrictive, they feel like they slow you down, and with mud tires I'm certain I burn more fuel getting places compared to when I ran offroad tires. For scouts though the mud tires are different, at least the JAT's anyway. They don't just give the scouts more self powered capability, they legit help scouts get through mud faster. So while with trucks, if you don't mind flinging out awinch now and then the offroad tires are overall better (after all they still go like 80-90% of places that mud tires will), for scouts the JAT muds are objectively just better. It is nice the Phoenix got a crane. Outside the large crane on the International TS, I only put cranes on trucks that ha colour coded ones (which prior to this update I think was only the Force?), so it's nice to have another one.
I cannot recommend using cranes enough. Manual loading can be good fun normally, immersion is always nice, but cranes also allow you to completely break the cargo system by overloading beds and trailers far beyond their outlined capability.
@@panther-nk2hn If you're using the flatbed (as it's shorter than the sideboard) then a bunch of trucks can do crane + bed + trailer. There was a time I gave all trucks that could do that setup a crane, making yellow crane trucks yellow and blue crane trucks blue (colour coding them as much as possible) But I ended up setting most trucks back to having a no crane setup. I don't like the additional top heaviness cranes add. And I don't know if it's just me but some trucks didn't even feel like they quite drove the same with the cranes on. I've been playing this game since it came out, I've definitely tried having cranes on trucks. And I have done the overloading before to, I still do it now (mostly with the Forester and medium logs, but I have done it with cargo to.) But I dunno, I just don't like the cranes. Currently I have a big crane on the 5600 TS, and Tatra cranes on the Force and now the Phoenix as well. I have them on no other trucks and I frankly don't miss them.
Based on his tests it would seem so in deep mud. But I kinda expect that because the unique Jeep tires etc are usually more all around tires, that have decent road traction as well as mud and off road ratings. The actual mud tires usually skate around on asphalt once you get decent speed. Just my thoughts, but it depends on the map which tires are actually better to use.
I haven’t tried the Land Rovers but from videos and people online they def suck. The Jeeps might surprise you though. They are decent enough in deep mud and excellent at rock crawling and finding narrow paths through trees.
@@stevereeves6971yeah the landrovers are cool but nothing special at all, the jeep rubicon isn’t that good, but the wrangler is amazing at rock climbing
"they added these new tires! I did a test on them and they're shit...." Ok onto the next set of new tires! 😂 Thanks for testing. Seems weird they devoted devs to make useless tires. But I guess if there's an audience for them, that's cool
In my opinion all three of that western star wolf pack are useless, the 49X though is pretty good but has a high point of gravety and tilt to the side easly
Probably the farm map it's really easy, gives you a great smaller truck that'll help complete other maps, as well as 2 tractors less useful but still can definitely work well as recovery vehicles
go for year pass 1. You will get 4 maps, a lot of great trucks (KRS 58 Bandit, Boar, P512 and of course, Zikz 605R) plus those 4 maps have a lot of upgrades for stock trucks to make them even better (AWD for WS 6900, Active suspension for multiple trucks, better engines for multiple trucks...) I bought the same as my first DLC and I am very happy with my purchase
However, tatra Phoenix doesn't have low towing gear, and the power seems to be weakened, and the fuel consumption advantage does not exist, which obviously costs more fuel than before, and the battery life is only 70% of the previous one!And tatra force t815 has also become a little weak, at least in the first gear, the car doesn't rush up, and it will take a long time to enter the second gear.I used to remember that it was 12345, and it was all upgraded soon. Fortunately, the fuel consumption of the 815 is still very good, still at the previous level. Therefore, in fact, this update further consolidated the playability of Taituo 815, and made Phoenix available, but the endurance, speed and power of Phoenix were secretly reduced by a considerable margin.
finally devs restarted thinking about old trucks altough i wanted to see a bigger fuel tank for paystar ts
Phoenix was missing that crane badly
But loves fuel 😂😂😂
@@pawellzajac6787 but has a fairly big gas tank so it's all good.
@@headhunter531 that a plus ➕️
1:02 It would be cool if you could now add a loading area to the free space between the crane and the cabin
Yeah, that’s an awful lot of wasted space.
Yaay. They buffed Atom, I'm very happy about it.

Twinsteer irl has a saddle. Would be cool if we could have that
Now the Tatra DLC makes sense.
You mean the Don region? None of the trucks from the Tatra dlc were mentioned.
@@GarlicloverTheFirstthey definitely should’ve gave the little 805 autonomous winch

Oh wow, the Phoenix is now actually solid
I made it more solid than them i added medium log addon
Dis update is insane! My favourite stable cab-overs like Atom and PHOENIX got buffs and I love it...
I love the western star 47x, little fast and nimble. Now with this update even more
Was just thinking how some random trucks were upgraded but have no way to look it up. Well lookee here!
Oh, and the P12 got its dually tires back along with more addons and customisation and might be a little bit stronger than before.
Plad review?
I was hoping for a better engine in Kenworth and snow tires
Snow is treated like mud in this game (no clue why, you'd have to ask the devs)
I think the weak(ish) engine on the Kenworth is by design, so it doesn't completely annihilate everything else on the board
For Snow take Mudtires, chained tires are only good for ice and they have stats like allterrain tires wich is way worse than mudtires
