- Are you trying to cut or trim videos in Windows 10 and remove the beginning and the end? In this tutorial, I will show you how to use the free video trimmer that is included in the Windows 10 video editor program. The Windows 10 video editor can come in very handy if you are trying to trim a RUclips video or clip a portion of your video to share with friends. The Windows 10 Video Editor is part of the Windows Photos App.

No unfortunately I don't have a video on this topic. I know it can be done in Hitfilm Express which is also a free editor and I do have a full tutorial if you look back in my channel. I don't know if it covers this specific topic. But in that program you could easily zoom in slightly on your video to remove that portion.

Can you explain how you can make a precision trim. I have to trim to a sub-second location, to trim out a spoken sentence, and I cannot get the exact location with the mouse. Is there anyway to enter the time with the keyboard (like in other tools)?

This is helpful, but we are working with a very long video (90 minutes), and want to trim 5 second clips at various times. When adjusting the trimmer, it's impossible to get the marker to the exact spot we want because it moves in 5 to 10 minute intervals. Any thoughts on how to get a finer adjustment?
8 Months later and believe you've got it right, but, if you did not:
Click on the round play-mover, move it left/right with the keyboard. Play and pause at the correct spot.

I know this was 2 years ago but tysm! I needed to trim a video but the thing I knew you could trim videos with would have a big annoying mark of what the software is called so I needed something to trim my video without a big watermark. One more thing. This is not a big deal or anything but when I trimmed the video and exported it, the video was darker for some reason. Yes I made sure I didn't put anything on that made that effect.
Hmm. I'm not sure why it would be darker. You could also try using capcut which I have some tutorials on my channel for if it's a problem.
