8:23 when you dragged and dropped the audio file into the video editor, the blue line showing the audio was very long and you could adjust it. for me, it wasn't that long and if i tried to adjust it, it wouldn't budge. a little help here?
Does this have a way to emphasize narration like in Movie Maker? Or is it just automatic now? I liked how in MM the volume would auto increase slightly when there was a pause in the talking

This is an excellent explanation of the procedure. Wish all instructional vids were this thorough and clear. Am just starting to do some short vids with my own little dogs , and have songs on YT playing while I,m filming , but want to add a song later because when I move away from my speakers the sound is lower , because I'm outside . So looks like I need to download the song from YT so I can use an editor to add it. Have never downloaded a song from Yt, and don't know how.

I followed your instructions but when trying to use the pre-set Background music, nothing happens. I hit play when selecting and it plays but when I click done and try and play the video there is no music. Can you please help me?

Yeah...sooo...this doesn't actually work for me. Every time I try to use the music part and click done, after I go to the preview or export, there's still no audio. Edit: Ok, realized having sync checked is what actually screws it up.

When I put the custom music in, I can't adjust how long it will play with the handles on the slider. It is stuck together making it play for a second.

@@TreyDobe I figured it out. You need to download the audio file as an mp4 file, not mp3.

Newly made mp3 files won't work. Make your custom audio into an mp4 file and drag it where you would usually put your custom mp3 file, worked for me

You should be able to add additional audio files using the same commands shown at 8:16 in the video.

When you have put your volume at 43 i also have done the same volume 43 what a queincidence.
