After trying to erase an error from a tape converted to an mp4, and trying every solution out there, your option was the only one that worked right out of the box, without spending more hours learning programs that failed and charged! Thanks for this. I had a task involving trimming lots of small 10 frame segments (a corruption of the video from pausing and restarting Zoom). The technique you showed (split then trim) turned out not to be easy or helpful. I found a simpler way that I wanted to share. Instead of trimming the second segment, where you can't use the frame-by-frame button, you can advance in the second segment using frame-by-frame, then split again. That way, you can simply select and delete the segment you want to cut out. So in summary, the alternative approach is (1) Split (at the start of the portion you want to omit), (2) In the resulting second segment, Split after the section you want to omit, then (3) select and delete the middle segment that was created. Hope this helps someone who was as frustrated as I trying to trim a section without the ability to advance the trim start frame-by-frame.

Thanks, I needed just to remove a minute+ section in the middle to provide a emailed recording to facebook support that was rejected for too large. I looked for a free online tool and found a video posted same time as yours, a year ago, saying and demonstrating a supposed free editor. I signed up, edited my video, just to find out now they want you to pay $30 a month to be able to save/export your edit. Then I find your video and in 5 minutes have the work done for free with what was already on my pc. So thanks again.
