Oh my, Soulhawk, this is an incredible recording! Thank you so much for this wonderful post. Composed by Panamanian songwriter Ralph Weeks, and performed exquisitely by Johnny and the Expressions (group members included Florentino "Tino" Pedroza, Ralph Weeks, Johnny Matthews and Sinclair Drayton), "Now That You're Mine" (released in March of 1966) was the follow-up to the group's one chart hit (Josie 45-946, "Something I Want to Tell You," also composed by Ralph Weeks, which peaked at #14 on the US R&B charts and reached #79 on Billboard's Hot 100 in January of 1966 after having been released in 1965). In its October 30, 1965, Billboard reported that "Something I Want to Tell You" was a top DJ pick in San Francisco and Baltimore. For the week ending February 5, 1966, the single was in the Top Sellers in Top Markets chart, 22 In New York, 19 in Philadelphia and 19 in Pittsburgh. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_%26_the_Expressions

Its a very lovely song, I do like it. But what I love most is the implications- the title... Now, that your mine, baby.... Hallelujah, stands repeating- Hallelujah, Hallelujah....You're Acknowledging..... I'm dancing...Thank you Lord!!! IT may have been obvious to you, not to me

They sound a little like the Vangards when that group sang "Sombody Please". Music of that era had a very distinct, unmistakable sound of its own. Even the area of origin had a distinct sound, and its own unique flavor. Check it Out! Ciao!!!
