Another great video 🥰, spectacular editing 😘😁 & fire content! What you stated at the end validated me. My videos have many edits & extras & I know the work it takes me to put it out. So, the editing price will need to reflect that level. At least I know for sure that hiring an editor will need to wait. When that time comes, though....ahhhhhh, the time I will get back in my life 😂😅❤
Hi there, is it 15/ hour or 15/ video? That seems low to me but i also take so long to edit long form videos. I'm thinking about hiring and editor now, this was really helpful, thanks!
Hi, Love the video, wondering how many hours of footage does your editor allow you to send over to keep to the $15 budget. I generally have 6-8 hours of footage so wondering would that be practical, or would you generally have less to chop down? Thanks!
Thanks for this! I thought about hiring an editor but as a small RUclipsr, part of being a RUclipsr is editing myself and learning (this is my thought at least). Hopefully once my channel reaches a certain height it would make more sense 🤔. I would like to have someone I could bounce ideas off of though.
Stay tuned!! I am going to post a video all about my youtube process/how i film/what i give to my editor/etc. sometime within the next couple of weeks!
Thanks a lot for this video. I’ve been considering getting an editor and Iit’s encouraging to hear I could get a video editor who will do a decent job at that price. May I ask if there are things you before and after filming to help him edit to your taste.
Happy to hear that!!!! and thank you for the support and kind words! okay you just gave me a vid idea - I will film a vid all about how to make the life of the editor easier and how to help them get my taste! Stay tuned for that I will post in this month!
Hi Chelsie. I am looking to hire an editor through Upwork and wondering if you could help with something I don't quite understand! When sending an offer, do I "deposit $ for the whole project" or "deposit a lesser amount to cover the first milestone". I ideally want to use the same job posting and pay the editor per video, so if I deposit for the whole project will that close the post after it is accepted? Or can I repeatedly hire from the same contract? I I am a bit worried about having to pay the contract initiation fee over and over again - I ideally just want to pay it once and then each new video is requested from the same contract. hope that makese sense! Thank you for the informative video :)
yes this makes sense!!! and yes you can hire from the same contract, i personally set each video as a new milestone in the same one ongoing project :) btw are you trying to scale/monitize your current subs more from your channel? I stalked you and i like your content a lot, want to have a chat?? send me an email with some availability for a quick 10 min call sometime if you do :) info.chelsieram@gmail.com
Hi Chelsie , found this video yesterday and love your content. I have messaged your editor too ! Hopefully it works . Can I please clarify, you paid him 15USD per video for the editing right ? I’m also doing Ali’s PTYA !!

Hi Chelsie, I just checked out the link you had for Muhammad it says he is $15 per hour. But you said you pay $15 per video. So I am just a little confused as to the pricing. I have only just started as a RUclipsr and as a business woman already my time is so precious but obviously I don’t have stacks of money to throw at it. So I can’t risk an edit taking 3-6hours at $15USD an hour. If that makes sense. Can you confirm for me if you are paying $15 per video or $15 per hour of editing? Really appreciate it. Great video by the way! The best informative on the topic.
Ask them about their country. What is your favorite thing about your country. You get great travel tips at the same time and most people love their country or town.
I have people reaching out to me by email asking me to hire them. I view everything as suspicious and potential scam. I post on youtube for fun, and don't want to complicate it.
so your rate is per video no matter the length of the video? Would think another way to go is price/minute of finished video as a 10-15 minute video might take more time than a 3 minute video.
Just so you know, it's okay to pay $15 for a starting video, but if you want a well-edited video, you'll need to pay more to an editor. I know this because I'm an editor myself. For $15, it's okay, but your video lacks many aspects of good editing.
