Well it looks like this is the first video of mine to get RUclips's new AI dubbing in other languages. You can change the audio track by clicking on the gear icon in the player. I imagine they're not very good, but I'll leave them on for this video because I'm curious to hear just HOW bad they are 😅
Kinda yes, but remember that minecraft java is written in java - its performance is trash to this day and you need to mod the game. This port is in c++ iirc
The reason behind this is that the Licensed by Sega screen is required to boot the game, but the other bit was a section devs could put the Windows CE logo if their game ran on Windows CE. The community has absolutely since taken advantage of that space for non Windows CE logos lol.
It would have gotten poor marketing, hidden under the radar, development studio shuts down... then RUclipsrs 30 years later will latch onto it calling it a "hidden gem" or "masterpiece"
I can't believe how smooth it runs. I know the play area is probably absolutely tiny, but still, I'm still amazed how close to the original this kinda.
@eazy_black - Check out Modern Vintage Gamers video on the topic of copy protection for the Dreamcast. It does have copy protection, but there was an oversight with karaoke CDs that blew the entire console open for unsigned code iirc.
Yeah you could easily copy almost any game. All you needed was a boot CD. The only games you couldn't copy were the ones that utilized the full size of the Dreamcast CDs which was like a gig.
@@AdrianDX and by the time it was fixed, it was too little too late. The model that had the exploit fix was only on the market for like five months before being discontinued.
@@ax14pz107 Aye. Release groups would downsample the quality of video files, audio files and textures to get images down to the 700MB CD-R limit. The Utopia boot disc was required in the beginning. But later on (like I imagine now with this homebrew) you didn’t even need that anymore. I’m glad we have ODE’s these days though. Those lasers wear out. And burning discs for small homebrew stuff seems like such a waste😅
Classic Cube is very poorly optimized for the modem, as the data sent over dial up isn't great lol. It's being slowly updated to work better, but it is hard with how little data is sent over it. That's why it's recommended to use the broadband adapter for this. There's actually a Dreamcast specific server done by the community over at the Sega Online Discord server that is pretty cool. They're constantly making sure it's compatible with the Dreamcast since other servers aren't really as compatible with the thing. The Dreamcast community is great! Thanks for this video, the Dreamcast deserves all the love it gets. Love these videos!
I would have done the camera controls "PSP Homebrew FPS" style personally, with either the stick or the face buttons being camera movement, with the D-pad handling jump/inventory/etc. That control method seems like pain lmao
GoldenEye on the N64 had that control style with the c buttons being move. Once I got used to it, I became undefeatable until everyone else I played with learned how to use it. It particularly fun watching my six year old brother laughing hysterically while slapping my brother's college roommates to death with that control scheme while they could barely aim well enough to even hit him once before dying.
@@Animated__Freak yeah it's effectively wasd but reversed hands. GoldenEye also had a dual analog control scheme but that involved using two controllers and we were always playing 4 player.

@@ax14pz107 Oh yeah, on Dreamcast you can do something similar but instead of using two controllers you use a controller and the mouse. I don't know how well that worked, I feel like the Dreamcast controller is a bit to heavy to hold with one hand. But it's nice to have the option.

Ok then. (the ai dubs sound like garbage)
The French one at least is surprisingly impressive
yeah only like 3 other RUclips channels have this dubbing feature
What Ai dubs? Is that a new thing?
@@beatziegraham6928 Yes, another YouTrash feature! I love it.
Minecraft is becoming the new “Can it run Doom/Crysis”?
It also has been around for such a long time, and it's still so highly popular.
thats how i want metroid to be 🫶🏼🫶🏼
Fun idea: someone should port the recently recovered "doom level" test maps to this port as dlc

I really like the contradictory "Produced by SEGA" screen. It looks very funny!
Reminds me of the startup screen of that one bootleg Game Boy cartridge that features the entire Bible in it.

@misael64 Wait what!? The whole freaking Bible on a GB!?

what if Minecraft actually did release on the Dreamcast?
“man I loved playing Minecraft on the Dreamcast as a kid, that was my favorite game!”
"Dude! did you get Minecraft?"
"It's one of the coolest game on the dreamcast!!!"
PS2 killer!

over 20 years later, the dreamcast still has life being breathed into it! what an unexpected but nice way to go...
I like the trend of porting everything to every system.
I can't believe how smooth it runs. I know the play area is probably absolutely tiny, but still, I'm still amazed how close to the original this kinda.
2:18 was expecting they'd do the Half-life approach, where you use the face buttons to move, joystick for camera and the dpad for actions and stuff.
the fact that you just burn a CD is wild, i guess sega didnt care about burnt cds at all
Actually it was a complete and incompetent oversight by Sega actually.

Quake III on dreamcast does that. It works pretty well once you get used to it.

I just got a Dreamcast last week, excited to try this out
The setting of this video looks so good. Oh my god.
60fps? That is insane.
Why wouldn't they make A/B/X/Y control movement like Unreal?
You should make a video of running every classicube edition side by side
Great video!
Thank you!
baffled why they didnt make the face buttons moving around and the dpad for the other stuff.
That's how FPS games does it on dreamcast. Would think they would do it here too.
We got Minecraft on the Dreamcast before GTA 6 :)
We're getting GTA III on Dreamcast before GTA 6
Wow its running so smoothly!
If you have a fast powerPC or m68k mac, you could try the MacOS Classic port, which i worked on :p
2:18 claw grip niceee
The Dreamcast, Jigsaw’s favorite console
Very fun video! Always nice to see the Dreamcast again!
I love this idea
Using the bba helps with connection issues.
I've been waiting for this to come to other consoles for a while now. I should probably check out the Wii version since it seems to be finished.
The french voice by AI is really bad...
I imagine all the AI audio tracks are pretty bad
German isnt better...
I can't believe how well it runs. It literally rus better than on my raspberry pi b+ (1st gen).
I dont see the dreamcast that often... !!!
this console was 11 years before Minecraft.
man i really want this thing running well on the psp
This video is like, (WOW). Nice video
didn't even know you could do this lol might have to find my dreamcast out of storage 😁
They should've mapped either movement or the camera to the face buttons.
I didn’t really see any mention of it anywhere online but do you know if this works with the Dreamcast VGA output?
10 MINUTES I WAS WAITING FOR YOUR VIDEO SO SO LONG 😭😭😭😭
I looked at this video in my feed and thought "ClassiCube?" And guess what.
have you tried volume up + volume down simultaneously to open the crt settings? it works on mine
How??? First the Wii, AND NOW THE DREAMCAST?!??!? what’s next Minecraft on a potato???
3:55 you can't scroll through the inventory, everything listed is all this version has.
This looks like a 1997 game on the texture
Minecraft is the new Doom lol
"14 seconds ago" oh...
Hey question, have you planned anythin special for 500k subs?
Minecraft on Dreamcast? Thats cursed. 💀
I wish there was a controller with dual analog
Produced by SEGA™
(not actually produced by sega)
i saw you trying to load survival server (made by morgana) i was online then
I was expecting this to be a video of ClassiCube on the Wii, but I guess not.
Well it does say Minecraft on Dreamcast not Wii
@@slimcurry7117congrats, you learned to read

Mod for what? if you mean a Minecraft mod then that’s not case.
ClassiCube is a complete reimplementation of Minecraft classic.

I'd like to buy a Dreamcast!
It's a really fun console, I totally recommend it!
