I love how the motorcyclist had an entire empty lane to their right when honking. There could've been traffic up ahead sure, but there was definitely enough space for them to go around lol.
@@graog123he going faster than most of the cars he’s no more in the way than a cyclist 🤷🏼♂️ not like he blocks traffic he usually faster than the traffic?
I'm getting into inline skating and the hard lesson I learned last night is to tighten them before going out and bring the Alan key in your pocket with you!
I started watching your videos a few months ago and broke out my rollerblades I’ve had in the closet since high school (36 now) to skate around while my kid learned to ride a bike. Now I just upgraded to some powerslide 90mm and we ride on the bike path together and have a blast! Thanks for the inspiration. Please keep making videos.
I love to skate. I grew up both roller and ice skating. I tried inline skating for years but had to give it up because I had chronic plantar fasciitis when I used them. They were so much fun. I loved seeing the community skate night!! So many good things in this world we never see. Thank you for highlighting this community!
I saw that possibility too, and it seemed that way to me from the honk. This has changed my view of this guy...instead of a cool, out-for-fun type, he seems like he's just an aggressive, competitive, negative guy who looks for a fight.
So just to check as a non american, if the skater hits anything, hes liable for everything involved right? Not complaining, just curious. Also if someone was to accidentally wiped him out, that person wouldnt need to pay anything?
Nah, he was on his horn 3 blocks before, trying to force his lane and beeping at everyone “in the way” he doesn’t know or respect the flow of traffic. The line he took was indicative of it.
I've had this happen, and if you're properly proficient in skating in this environment, you can almost always avoid or stop. In fact, when skating like this, you must constantly be looking ahead a significant distance and predicting possibilities such as that. Same as driving a car. Drive/skate within your abilities and with attention to your surroundings at all times. Could someone still get run over? Yes, if they make a completely stupid/unpredictable move, but same goes for driving a car.
@thestutteringskater riding backwards on a road with cars and traffic would be considered reckless. You're in and out of lanes without any signal or checking. And you don't stop for traffic. You go right through. Cyclists and Rollerbladers do this and complain when you put yourselves in dangerous situations. Get in the bike lane
@@mp-dq7fy a lot of assumptions were made there, I ride with the flow of traffic, regardless of if it’s cars, trucks, bicycles, bikes, and even scooters that look like motorcycles. What does riding backwards have anything to do with it? How do you legally define reckless? Go on!
@@mp-dq7fy Spoken like someone whos truly never cycled or skated in a city before. Or ever really. The American, car centrist language really gives it away.
Title VII Article 34 Section 1234 If there is a bike/skate lane, you must use it. If not, you must skate as far to the right side of the street as possible so as to not interfere with traffic. Road raging on roller blades is crazy😭

maybe he's annoyed that there's effectively a pedestrian in the centre of the fkn lane

No he isn't lol he is faster than a 20mph speed limit... Duh@@Zig423
@graog123 He's on skates, so he doesn't count as a pedestrian just like someone on a bike wouldn't be.

Wow. Love your positive mindset. But he could just be some asshole on the road 😂.
@@khairinarif369 Yeah, he could be...and he could also just have been saying "Hi...cool!" Why choose the negative one?
I was thinking the same. Maybe that person was a fan and honking out of admiration. ❤

I'd actually be scared of moving at that speed on just skates but you've obviously been doing it for a long time; hats off to you.

where did you get your helmet?
What's your skate set up?
How are u still alive. 😭
I just go with the flow of traffic, always take path of least resistance. Never take a lane that’s blind etc.
Does your camera man have to skate backward to film, or is there some kind of set up?
What skates are you using ??
That cyclist should understand better than most people how to share space respectfully.
What kind of roller blades are those?
