- Want to build an SCX24? In this video we're building a 1/24 scale, fully proportional 4-wheel steering (4WS), rock crawler from the ground up. All aftermarket parts used in this build are listed below, and should work for the Axial SCX24 platform. Check the Parts List for upgrades or watch the video for more tips. This will most likely be a short series, in 2-3 parts.
When possible, I design and 3D print my own models. I will often post a link so that anyone that finds them useful, can download them for free. I will never charge for them. Just check the parts lists if you see something I modeled and you want to try it out. If it's not in the list, I probably forgot or missed it, just ask me to add a link! :)
SPONSORS/AFFILIATES
I am not sponsored or affiliated with any of the companies that make/sell any of these products/parts. I buy or make everything myself, I don't receive free stuff.
DISCLAIMER:
In this video I briefly cover how I clip my receiver antenna, you may not want to do that especially if you don't have any backups. I was willing to risk destroying the receiver's capabilities but it may not be a risk you are willing to take. Cutting the antenna will most likely, at the very least, degrade the range.
**This is what the SR315 manual says:**
"Think of the last 1 inch (32mm) on the tip of the antenna as the active portion of the antenna, the coaxial portion leading up to it is just an extension."

Sweet build, I am in the process of putting together my build list for my first AWS. Your video was very informative. Looking forward to seeing stage 2.
Awesome! Good luck on the build list! I usually forget something and have to wait for shipping, Now I'll just go back to my parts list when I'm checklisting. 😄 I'm working on adjusting the ride height of the Unimog body, I'd like it to sit a bit lower and I think I have enough room for an interior so we'll see how that goes. I'll be weathering the outside of the shell so that will be a fun video.
Im new to the hobby so this was a very informational video! I recently got a TrX4m HT, lowered it, brushless swapped, few parts added. I intend to do this same thing after I collect some more spare parts.
Welcome to one of the most enjoyable hobbies on the planet! I'd love to pick up a TRX4m, Traxxas does a great job with their rigs and the HT editions look awesome!
What size is the collet on that screw driver? I'd like to find a 4mm nut driver. I just ordered the same one.
It's a 4mm chuck on the electric screwdriver since it's for precision bits (I think it would be equivalent to 5/32) and it uses 4mm hex shank bits, the Injora 8-in-1 manual set uses a standard driver size, I believe it's 1/4-inch (6.35mm). 🤙

Thank you. I'm gonna try to find some 4mm shank nut drivers.
