I hope my words bring you peace and make you feel less alone if you're also dealing with anxiety. 💛
Let me know what things you do to relieve anxiety - it's always great to hear how other people cope and maybe by reading each others comments we will find new ways and realise how common it is to feel anxious in the first place.
    Kay x

I found a great way to deal with anxiety is to focus on the next small step. My anxious thinking tends to spiral far into the future and crazy what-if scenarios, which can feel paralysing. So when I notice this happening I try to remind myself: It's not the single steps as such that are impossible, it's trying to keep every little thing and every possible outcome in your mind at once. You can take the next step (which can be as little as sitting up in bed, put your feet on the ground etc.) and that's really all you have to do.

Hi Kay Loving this mindset series. Today really resonates with me. I have suffered for many years with stress and anxiety, always putting others before myself to the point of exhaustion. As sufferers we have to learn to say no to others requests etc, I still find this difficult to do! Although as I’ve “matured” I’m finding more confidence to say no. To help me cope I live by my diary, so I don’t get over loaded. I use a diary where I can see the whole 7 days on 2 pages at a glance. I block certain days out and I my aim is to only diarise a couple of things a week to do. It doesn’t always work but for the times it does, I am very grateful. I fret about things from the past, I have a mantra to help reset my mind when this is happening. I say out loud “I am entitled to lead a happy and healthy life” whilst clapping my hands above my head. I say it over and over, I find my voice gets stronger the more I do this and I find eventually my mood lifts too. (Sorry for rambling lol) Love to you both xxx 💗💗

I am grateful for being a creative soul. I would recommend creating a special area of your home to either working on something creative (could be anything...art, music, macrame etc. ) Find that outlet or sweet and productive distraction. One important thing is also to pull back into your comfort area as needed....ie. to get out of a crowded or loud environment.
    Thanks Kay❤️

Slowing down is a great way to go.
Most of the things we think we need to do or buy are not necessary. People themselves
create anxiety or stress. If in a
    job, friendship, relationship or
whatever and it does not feel
good to you just step out and
drop it out of your life. Keep
    things, your mind and everything
simple. This way life is surely
    more pleasant.

My wedding is in less than 3 weeks, and I'm having a lot of anxiety attacks in the last 2 weeks. I always journal when I get anxious. I'd use a couple more ways to release this overwhelming feeling. I say 'I wish the wedding day is over soon' at least 5 times a day. It's been stressful. (we're doing diy vintage wedding style. It's not common in our country, so it's really hard to do everything, hence the anxiety)

Oh gosh that does sound stressful! Another you could use could be "this feeling of stress is only temporary soon I will be married and this will be a distant memory" 💛

All the best for your wedding day.
Just remember it is your day - enjoy it and do not worry what
other people think you must do
or should have done. Kind greetings from Switzerland.

I understand your feelings. I felt overwhelmed before my wedding, but I realised that as long as by the end of the day I was married to my wonderful husband we had achieved what we set out to do. Simple! I understand you want all of your guests to have a good experience but if things don’t go quite to plan you have a much better story to tell for the rest of your life! When it all goes perfectly it’s great but not such a fun memory. The things you are stressing over now won’t matter on the day, people who are there for you will be there for you, anyone who isn’t and judges every detail doesn’t matter. I’m sending strength and good vibes your way xxx

I just want to point out that if you can afford it, getting help from a therapist or other professional can help you big time. Don't feel that you have to handel and figuring out everything by your own. Or maybe to find a friend or family that you can talk to and get support from. You are responsible for your own happiness and have to do the work but that doesn't mean you have to do it alone. We are stronger together!

Great video 👍 Also great book, need to read it again. I gave up caffeine over 3 years ago and that made a huge impact on my anxiety also giving up smoking to although I didn't smoke much. I was drinking 6 to 10 cups of coffee a day and then drinking coke inbetween. I use to be anxious all the time which then triggered my depression. Even had a few panic attacks. I use to get anxious over the tiniest thing, but at the time it didn't seem tiny. Giving up caffeine and smoking is the best thing I ever did 🙂 Love and light to you all, the struggle is real and you are not alone but you can overcome it 🤗❤

Just finished let your mind run. I loved it. Defiantly need to give it another listen and take notes. I’d never heard of positive escapism before you mentioned it. I felt like I’d been doing it already to a certain extent. This may sound strange, but i love watching kids tv shows. 1) I love animation 2) I’ve always said I like that kids show communicate a clear positive message often times. Things that sometimes us adults need to be reminded of the that are seemingly obvious. 3) a lot of kids show I watch on streaming services have no adverts. ( I have Hulu but am of the plan where there are ads on certain shows ). I say all this to say it’s nice to INTENTIONALLY choose to participate in positive escapism. And I’m seeing a benefit in doing it through audio ( I listen to audiobooks mostly ) as well. It helps with visualization in other aspects of life. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation. I have a few books I’m planing on reading but I’m getting them through a library app (It’s called Libby I’m in the US though so I think it’s only available here),so it’s gonna be a while before I get them.

Thank you so much for this video! It was so helpful. I often blow things out of proportion and have had intense anxiety since I was a child. I'm pleased that book is good because I just ordered it online the other day. I'm excited for it to arrive in the mail! :) x

Hello, I can very much relate to your talk. I too am introverted, I tend to blow things way too out of proportion, and I deal with social and general anxiety. Your tips here are really helpful. =)

The way I deal with anxious thoughts is to live in the present. When I focus on the future that's when I start to panic, but when I am mindful of living in the present, then the anxious thoughts go away. The Bible says be anxious for nothing, but with prayer and supplication let your requests be made known to God. I also pray about things I am worried about and leave it in God's hands. But staying present helps a lot.
