What if their model wasn’t a model and was instead someone who isn’t really photogenic? I think their model being photogenic helps make their photos look really good so idk just a thought

Brandon hands down takes the most aesthetically pleasing photo every shoot. Jon and Zach comes second for me. Jessica, girl, sorry, hers was my least favorite in every shoot.
J C I liked her photo in the first shoot but Brandon wins all 4 hands down. I also liked Jonathan’s in the 3rd shoot.

Based on their Instagram aesthetics, in the beginning, I was expecting my order to be Zach, Brandon, Jessica, Jon. Zach's had more nature-y, deep looking photos. Brandon's used lights and colors really really well. Jessica's looked more... I don't wanna say typical, but more like something you would find on a magazine cover. Jon's just used a lot of rainbow and white together, which just isn't my thing.
Instead, my order ended up as Brandon, Zach, Jessica Jon. So pretty close, but for different reasons.
Brandon's were very aesthetically pleasing and I really enjoyed that they looked interesting and sharp. I especially liked the 2nd and 3rd shoots, but I just liked those settings better in general, so there's that. I think he knows how to use light really well to make for visually captivating pictures. Of all the pictures they each took in their own chosen setting, his is easily my favorite hands down. He made her look like a freaking queen.
Zach was really good too. I liked his 1st and 4th shoots and I just loved his use of the water in the 2nd shoot, but in the 3rd he just didn't perform. The pose was a bit simple, combined with the background and outfit not matching up with each other in my opinion. The ones that incorporated nature more like his Instagram were more confident looking. He seemed more comfortable there, so props to him for attempting the street setting anyway.
Jessica was hit or miss. I liked her 2nd and 3rd shoots (*loved* the pose in the second), but not her first or last. The first just wasn't up to the par of the others, though I could tell it was very much her style, while the last I would've liked to see closer up, maybe waist-up? and without as much space over her head. Besides that, I really liked her photos. She was one of the most consistently true to her Instagram aesthetic IMO.
Jon's were... Glowy. Not in an oh-you-are-glowing-you-look-amazing way but more in a way that makes it look like it's not real. The 1st pic looked like a painting, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It was just very over-edited looking to me. The 4th one was his worst in my opinion, as he somehow managed to make her look a bit cartoony. My guess is it's supposed to look kind of whimsical. he did tone it down for the 3rd shoot though. I fully respect that that is his style, but it is not for me. It was intriguing to me that that is not how his Instagram comes off at all. Both are not my personal style, but in different ways.

i agree with your jessica opinion. hers always look like something out of a magazine which is really great and all but it doesn’t have anything else special added to it lightwise, posewise, etc

Everyone shot good but Brandon's pictures really outshines them all. It's not like what those 3 people are trying to do. Always different, always new.

All the best to that model who maintained a professional demeanor throughout. I started really noticing her while they were all walking around that park...but everyone else was in tennis shoes while she was in heels. No complaints (shown) during all the scene/clothing changes - I have to admire hard work and a professional attitude.

Overall my fav photo is Brandon’s first photo with the leaf covering some of her face and the perfect lighting of the sun 😍

1st location: Brandon - I really like how the shadows formed tiger stripes on her face!
Location 2: Zach - I think the water was a nice touch and gave it more of an enchanting vibe.
Location 3: Jess - Like said in the video, the orange against the white made her outfit stand out a lot more.
Location 4: Jon - He used the location well and the light vs. shadows look reallllly nice.
I really need to know where they got that amazing head piece for the model! I’m OBSESSED 😩
That last picture by brandon is insane. I would hang that up in my apartment. Absolutely in love with it. Everyone did so great!

A video where a advanced photographer uses a cheaper camera and a beginner uses an expensive camera!! Would be a cool one to see! The idea that an expensive camera doesn’t make “better” pics in the sense of art

There was like a bit of a reality-show vibe, like while one person is focusing on something and being filmed, but occasionally it’ll cut to the other contestants talking about the person who is focusing. And the people gossiping are looking at the person and pointing and speaking softly to make sure they don’t hear the gossip instead of just going to another room...
I noticed that.... so distracting and not my thing.
Its such a contrast to the clean cut editing. Super professional vibe from the production but the dynamics were so weird

That is a good idea but iPhones are not the only phones with good cameras out there. Look at Samsung S20 for example.

All photos are beautiful but Brandon's photos tell a story of harmony! Framing, shadowing, angularity, aliveness, color, etc. He is a real pro 📷!

It’s in this series that Brandon’s talent really shines. I used to think he was overrated after just seeing his Instagram, but these videos and seeing what he can create in only 3 minutes compared to other professionals really shows just how talented he actually is

HAHAHA me too! First thing I do with all of Jessica's videos. I know they're going to be great so I just get it out of the way. I like them first thing. LOL I haven't been wrong yet.
You are all fantastic photographers. However, Brandon's light work is really breathtaking and brings a depth and life to all of his photos! In my opinion, his photos were the best in all locations except for the last one, where Jon really did the best with contours and shadows - making it soft and intimate. You, Jessica, are the best at portraying the woman, her body, her personality and her additude. No doubt about that! Absolutely stunning! 😊 Be careful, though - because you're somewhat short, the model will in most cases look downwards. Which looks awesome, if you are looking for a somewhat arrogant/proud look. A suggestion would be to look into, how you can play with perspective/height etc.

She has model features, industries idea of beauty. Long, thin, sharp and soft feminine features. Her body can essentuate the clothes as she is thin. I use to be in the industry...it's just what the media wants and somehow women feel that's what they need to be to look beautiful. However! That is not the case. Beauty comes from your grace and how you present yourself to others ♥️

@@jellyfish928 yes it's about the photographer but if you have a model that's an expert at posing you don't really have to do anything but take the picture and edit it. Anyone can do that. I want to see them shoot someone with no experience and have them show them how to pose and how to look at the camera. That's what a real photographer does.

The videos was showing how the same "thing" or person can be shot by different people and not look the same. Its completely changed so doing the same "thing" as long as you're not blatantly copying can have different outputs.
i loved how jessica was really active, i loved how zach watered the plants, i loved how brandon edited and i loved how jon was nice and worried about the model
