OMG are u out of freaking mind hacking up those beautiful doors!!!! Why not do kick panel speakers? Wow wow wow!
Cutting holes in the doors is a perfect upgrade to a detail that GM overlooked.
Life is too short to cruise around with crappy tunes.
Just do a good job and never think about it again.
Great video and that is one sweet K10 CHEYENNE SHORT BED!
You did that truck a favor.
Well done :-)
That’s what kick panels are for 🤦🏻♂️
Bad enough to cut holes is a C10, but to cut holes in the doors of a short bed K10… nothing short of savage.
That amp was discontinued due to fire hazard.. so, yea.. get the right amp.
Congratulations you ruined a good set of doors
Thanks Brian, Getting ready to restore a 1973 Ford f-250 4x4, This and other videos will help out with that ! Shane from Ohio
+Shane Rowland Thanks! I hope to restore one like this some day too.
Awesome install information. Just what I needed.
Nice!! 👍 I'm glad it helped lol Dad! Now it's time to get yours done 🙂
A nice example of a well kept truck. I cringed a little when you said you planned to cut holes in the doors. I needed a kleenex when you actually did it.
I know what you mean. however that is what the owner of the truck wanted to do!
0Myles0 aren’t new doors not that expensive tho?
Do It Yourself Bri Yes but u as the “professional” should’ve told him about kick panel speakers!

I have a ‘72 Chevy c10 pickup and I’m wanting to keep the classic radio but I just want a way to be able to run an aux chord to my phone. How would I do that?
hunter quinton they have a cassette aux cord that would work or if you wanted to do an aftermarket you could install it into the glove box
This is a video of what not to do. Do not cut holes in these rare beautiful trucks and never edit film/videos like this horribly either
i cringed over the connectors. should have soldered all the connections and heat shrink insulated all the solder points
Have you uploaded the step-by-step stereo install you referenced in this video?
Destroyed that beautiful rare truck
It's a fucking truck.
It'll be there long after he's gone. You can buy trucks all day long but you can't buy loved ones once they're gone.
@@kevindavis4709 you can not buy a K10 trust me not many can good luck finding one.
@@Aaron-hd8ql yup they're rare.
Is the amp ground going to the frame of the vehicle?
rear seat passengers feet on amp sightaway
That's a good looking truck
+Hard Knocks Forge Yeah it's pretty sweet, it's a buddy of mine's truck.
I have a 2003 Old car that it's becoming a "Classic", and I would never ever ever ever ever cut holes in the metal, as it can create RUST in the future as they are where water can run sometimes... and in the event that I do, I would spray at least some clear coat around the cut zone... and I would never use a screw into the floor for the same reason.. I dunno where are you doing this, but if you do have some cold snowy winters the salt used to melt it will for sure cause corrosion... oh well...
Also I would solder those cable end tips before insulated them with heat shrink plastic material..., well that's what I would do... :D
Thanks Brian, very nice!
I have a chevy c10 (1981) and I need to install speakers, a radio, and AC
Did the owner upgrade the Alternator? In your opinion would a 110 amp alternator be sufficient?
Could you install an aftermarket radio in a 55-59 Chevy truck.
Thank you Brian great video, but where did you mount the ground wire?
Need that stereo install video!!!
Did you have to upgrade the alternator
Split loom to protect wire??
I think you have the truck year wrong..
+6FeetUnder You are right it's a 1972...Not 77
@@doityourselfbri You might have your friend double check his trucks VIN to verify the year of his truck. The doors he has are not 1972 doors. They're 1971 or earlier as the 1972 doors have a dimple and screw on the inside top just below the wind wing vertical post and lock. Nice install by the way.
@@Fishwacker59 nope, its a 72. The arm rest alone tells you it is a 72. all other years it was the stand alone beefy arm rest
How much did it cost
Great video! Did you get around to uploading the step-by-step stereo install you referenced in this video?
