If the boots are busted and the link moves exactly like the ones you are replacing it means that the sway bar links are busted and need to be replaced? Or even if the boots are busted they may be still good?
I just replaced mine both sides but i still hear the clicking/rattling sound when going over minor bumps or bumpy road it sound like keys jiggling any idea
I got a 2014 Toyota camry, when I drive 80+ mph, drive over bumps and break my struts make a clink noise in the driver side . I was told I have to replace all struts but after I inspected it myself I see that the a silicone ring on the sway link bar is broken. What should I do?
@williamg6095 i had a horrible clunking on the driver's side on the front, i replaced everything and i still had it i did noticed my brakes were going and caliper also. I replaced the calipers and brakes and that noise was gone. I guess there was enough play on the caliper so it was bouncing up and down, and then replaced my motor mounts and now its quiet ride, anything that has play will clunk i guess
Dealer told me: end link boots are leaking - replace sway bar links on both sides. I don't hear any noise though. How important is it to change it asap? 2015 Camry SE, thanks
@@RBTheMechanic the statement says "end link boots are leaking - replace sway bar end links on both sides". So I believe it's sway bar link's end boots, correct?
Question, I have 2015 Toyota Camry SE. just recently replace both shocks & strut assembly on front end. But when driving over bumps there is a constant rattling noise as if something is loose. Not sure how to diagnose or decide what to change.
I have a 2017 se and the same shit happens. I chalked it up to it being the plastic flapping under the front bumper. I was missing one of those plastic pins that holds the plastic panels together so I drilled a little hole and zip tied it lol. It’s rattles less but on the highway it still does sometimes. I’m gonna check my struts but I’m almost positive it’s the plastic rattling
I got a very loud noise when I go over speed bumps at like in a parking lot it's sounds like the whole car is falling apart all the suspension parts check out fine
@@RBTheMechanic yeah we did it looks like a brand new car under their we're talking about dirt and not even on the suspension yet took a pry bar to everything everything is very tight
I just replaced mine - you cover the details perfectly. Thank you!
You're welcome! Glad u did it urself!! Good job!!

Oh ok good discreption this could be one of the suspension parts I would definitely check away at linkage or ball joint as a start
Great job. Thank you for the explanation
Welcome!!
Do you need alignment after replacing them....
No not for linkage
when tightening the bolt, if the wrench touches the rubber boot and grease comes out, does that mean the sway bar is ruined?
Nah it’s still alrite
