Hi Eileen I've been following your vlog..you are such a great help.Thank you so much.I'm already 50 yo still having my period but my PMS is worst a week before my period..nervousness..anxiety..dizziness..but your advice to really hydrate by drinking loads of plain water helped a lot.God bless you.
I just turned 38 and for the last few months, I've noticed my irritability leading up to my period has gotten a lot worse. It's distressing as an autistic person who has struggled with emotional dysregulation throughout my life. I went to therapy for many years to learn how to manage my emotions and now I feel like I am being sent years backward.
Sorry to hear that your having issues with this, you may find our new Perimenopause Focus tablets helpful. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/perimenopause-focus-passiflora-complex-tablets/ Best Wishes Eileen
I feel like I have an evil twin. She makes me drop stuff, she makes me lash out a before I can control myself, I started to agree with people that are rude tward myself or family. Like some one will tell me "you need to tell that son of yours to get out there and pick up sticks" and I jump on board with this, then later on I think how I would never tell someone how their kids need to be, but I let them do that to me. My son is 23 and works out side the home. I just think how I'm not even present in my own life, I am just here. I'm going to try to start tracking stuff and see if my evil twin is up to some good or just trying to destroy me a little at a time. Should I see a therapist?
Hi Patty Cake You could look into self-management such as EFT or NLP, these therapies teach you how to control your own emotions, stress, anxiety etc. Just Google for more info. Best Wishes Eileen
Love your videos, always a go-to when I want to learn more about menopause. such helpful info and explained so well. I'm always sure to share with my friends, hope you'd enjoy my videos too xx
I have pmdd and in perimenopause I have changed so much I don't like daytime anymore just the nights I can't sleep before 2am social anxiety people tire me
I don't remember how my PMS symptoms were in the past, because I never paid attention or kept track of my period (I started at age 9). Now I'm 44 and beginning menopause, and in the past couple years, I noticed that sometimes before the period-time, I become deeply depressed and su!c!d@al for 1-2 days. Then I snap out of it and return to my normally-happy self. Are there any natural supplements I can take to help avoid these severe symptoms? (The only other symptom of menopause I have is delayed periods. My previous cycle was ~203 days long.) I'm not interested, nor do I feel the need, to see my doctor or take any Rx medications.
Hi As long as you are not on any prescribed medications, you could try the herb St John's Wort as this is recommended for low mood/mild depression. It can take about 4 weeks to kick in. Acupuncture may also be beneficial so worth looking into. However, if the depression gets worse then I would advise seeking professional advice such as medical Herbalist, if you don't wish to see your doctor. Best Wishes Eileen
Yes I went three months of nothing but feeling terrible then it arrived the next one was 8 days early. My usual symptoms dropping things, getting cross for no reason aches and pains but otherwise not too bad. But ten days before I take homeopathic Nat Mur which along with my vitamin with Evening Primrose seems to help me at least.
Hi Angela Bloating before a period is quite common at this point and often caused by a combination of poor elimination or constipation, poor carb digestion and dehydration. Remember to drink lots of plain water every day and you may find cutting carbs right down the week before a period can help as well. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Joanne It can do for some women but this would depend on the individual's hormonal balance so, unfortunately, all you can do is wait and see, sorry. Best Wishes Eileen

Hi No, I wasn't adopted but my dad (born in 1905 but I was a very late baby!) came from quite a large family and we do know several members (cousins, I think) emigrated to Australia, so who knows, we may be related! What was your mum's maiden name? Best Wishes Eileen

Can you get pms symptoms during ovulation
Hi Amanda
Yes, this could happen, hormone fluctuations can start earlier in the month in the perimenopause.
