I feel like the simplest thing Ableton should've done to avoid this whole search menu debacle is giving us the ability to add more collection tags. Hell if theyre making us skim through a sea of tags at the far side of the monitor how about give the option of making it a pop out window so we can place it in front of us. I have a 3440x1440 and ableton can still feel claustrophobic

Just to clarify: Techivation already has a more one-to-one Soothe alternative called M-Clarity (although it only has hi- and lo-pass filters and doesn't have the fancy frequency graph that Soothe has) . T-Clarity is more like an automatic version of M-Clarity where you barely have to do any work at all. So it's basically M-Clarity, but for people who rather have an AI dial in the plugin for you. IMO they could have ditched the whole T-series of plugins and just added the AI as an "assistant" in the updated versions of the corresponding M-series of plugins, but maybe they are too different under the hood for that.

Weird I updated a plugin and when I went to go find it I noticed all my plugins where grouped by company names. So does Ableton update by itself or something? Cause I thought me updating one of my plugins somehow caused this.

Bass focus is just like Bass-mint with a few less features. Bass-mint is a cool plugin and I do use it but not as often as you would think when you buy it.
Pro tools has the best plugin organization imp, every DAW could learn something from them

Bitwig is pure magic, pure joy, pure love. It's one of those rare things where everyday when I open up a project, I'm all like "THERE IT IS 😍😍😍" Sure, there's some wonky bugs exclusive to Bitwig (like certain more obscure 3rd party plugins do not play well with it's stock plugins), but that shit is so neglible compared the horror stories on instability I hear with Abelton. Studio One ain't too far behind in that instability as well.

I've been on 12 since the first day of the release. It has always had plugins grouped by company. So not quite sure what you mean.

Yeh plugin sandboxing would be nice, also an an Ableton melodyne style program would be nice if they are adamant about not including ARA 2.
Bitwig does have some cool modulation options between plugins which would be great in Ableton, including Bitwigs routing options, they are just awesome.
But so far I can't switch to Bitwig, not until Bitwig includes and Ableton style Capture MIDI button and Max4Live would be an awesome addition to Bitwig, Max4Wig, there has got to be a way!
Also I would love for Ableton to have an option to include a simple 3 band EQ on each track that works exactly like FL studios, it is so much faster to just have that available on each track for simple EQ curves.

The Ableton part is not fully correct. A couple of years ago I was very annoyed, The VST2 plugin can, indeed, be group by folder, but also featured under their own name (depending on how you organzed them on your drive. Stupid me only understood how that worked after working with Ableton for some time. I was not sure how to reorganize my plugins, for coul I risk them not working anymore after moving things? Moreover, manufacturers often are not specific in making/organizing their software themselves: installation varies hugely, they use unspecific folders like 'presets' which might end up shared (?). Anyway, moving/reorganizing turned our to be risky, some plugin stop working. In VST 3 it is different, I found out. The manufacturer had to define their manufacturer name in a certain place (field/variable) in their software. VST3 rules describe that is the name it wil appear in in your plugin browser. Ableton applied that. Much to my dislike. For large companies like NI, Arturia, UAD, Soundtoys etc it makes no difference, we know the relationship between plugin and company name. However, for smaller manufacturers this often is not the case. For instance, plugin Thorn is 'hidden' in a folder Dmirty Sches. I like Thorn, but I don't like I need to remember who made it. It makes plugins disapperar from my memory/awareness, unjustifiedly so, for they just disappear out of sight in the browser. Making tracks I don't like leaving my mouse and MIDI-keyboard to type in this name in the search field. I'' have to check what they came up with now, but I think I prefer being abel to toggle between 'organized by plugin name' and 'organized by manufacturer'. Needless to say (I hope) his organizing by manufacturer's name benefits the larger companies and frustrates smaller one or newcomers (and by that free plugins, which include innovation and mobility) which in the end often is a nail to the coffin of industries). Partly because of the crowded , overwhelming and distracting plugin browser I still prefer using 10.
They brought back the plugin folders in Live, that’s great, but stock devices still don’t have folders. Just a giant alphabetical list. Cool. Haha

Finally, this Ableton 12 update is long overdue. I absolutely loathed that they had removed the plugin browser by folder feature.
'Akon Digital Remix' has done real time separation for a while now, and it does 5 layers, and it's much cheaper at $49 :P.
i dont think alot of bass music falls under the big 3. We should atleast be able to dl the vod and still post to yt without any muting. Also some channel put the vods bwhind the vod wall which makes sense

I just updated my M2MAX to Ableton live 12 and I wanted to install it on my old MBP i7, yes, a 12-core i7 that runs hot with Ableton Live 10, well I installed it in Montrey and now it works better than Live 10 on my MBP i7.
Next time I will install Abelton live 13, 14, 15... on my i7, it may work on my 2002 PPC G4, I don't know, Ableton is a box of surprises.

With ableton: no aaf or imf import/export, no timecode (???), delay displacement doesnt bounce to stems, any change to automatable makes all automation turn off, cat use scroll wheel when anything is selected, the editing is super clunky...

I stopped using Ableton Live 12 after I had a project corrupt for the first time in my whole time ever using Ableton ever. So until they fix whatever bullshit that made my project for a client on contract that I need to pay my rent corrupt when I changed nothing about my methods, idgaf about 12. Unreliable piece of shit software that I unfortunately paid for. Wish I spent it on rent, and if rent wasn't due, then weed. Fuck 12. In more ways than one
Rough. Did you contact them with the project file? Most companies will try to see what went wrong and fix it.
