    If it makes Cornette feel any better Batista did eventually become Undertaker’s rival in 2007. They had some of the best matches in their careers together, even stole the show at Wrestlemania 23.

      Cornettes math is off. Batista wasn’t injury prone. He got injured like twice during his whole career. One just happened to being during one of his world title runs so he had to drop the belt. He was there from 02-11 about 8 and half to 9 years. He just BARELY missed the return of Lesnar in 2012 and he wasn’t because he was old or injury prone or couldn’t hack it he left on his own accord because he didn’t like the kiddified PG suck fest the WWE was turning into and he didn’t understand where a guy like him would still fit into the PG era and he was 100% right. Hopefully, Cornette could do a review of the whole Taker vs Batista feud. Or maybe when Rivals make an episode about them, he could talk about it. Taker vs Batista was my favorite feud growing up. They're my top 2 all-time favorites even to this day. I know Batista wasn't the ring general like most people are but when those two are in the ring together, there's always this aura that I can't really describe.

    The downgrading of the gimmick with a 100% Vince McMahon thing. If he didn’t create it, he hated it. And it pissed him off when people got over organically. This wasn’t just from ov W it carried over to NXT as well. Constantly changing and ruining guys that got over under Triple H. Anyone who still defends Vince McMahon has got screws loose in their head. And believe me, there are still a lot of nut cases out there obsessed with defending Vince. Sick sick sick disgusting piece!

    I've never agreed with Jim's take on brand splits. I think brand splits are fine, you just need to commit to them. When someone is on Smackdown and someone is on Raw, then never the two shall meet, except on very special occasions. Then the two world champions, the US and IC champions, the two tag belts, that's fine. Cause then it's like the seperate conferences or leagues or what have you in otjer professional sports. The world champion of Smackdown is the best on Smackdown, world champion on Raw is the best on Raw. The problem really arises when you have loose or non existent divides between shows. If people bop between Raw and Smackdown regularly, then you have a problem cause if Johnny Smackdown can have a match with Jimmy Raw on Monday Night Raw, then what is the Raw world heavyweight champion the champion of?

    • @TheHive616
      @TheHive616 18 дней назад

      I'm sure Corny wouldn't have the same issues if WWE could have ever done it right, but it was always half assed. This shit where they would send guys from one brand to the other just to swerve the fans, but also cause they were scared to have one brand where the "good" wrestlers were (first brand split, it was SmackDown, easy), and then the fact that the PPVs were always kinda a mess during brand splits.
      I think WWE let their own concept down... Multiple times. There was a lot of good to be done, but McMahon was not thinking of any of this as bring related to a SPORT, especially not after 2000 when he decided he was incapable of fucking up, and then preceded to spend two decades fucking up. If they had ever just remembered people watched wrestling for some wrestling, and given some of the sport side of things some legitimacy, the brand splits might have built into something like a Raw vs. SmackDown Super Bowl, something big between the brands when they had developed their own big names and had time to work apart. I dunno, it just should have been handled with more devotion
